No one, no one ever told stories as well as Buddy, ever. Retelling them is impossible. I had the privilege of seeing him preform live and I have never laughed like that and tears flowed.
I also saw him live. On the way out of the show I had to think hard if he finished every story as intertwined as they were, and yes he had. He was a genius.
Can you back that statement up with several viable and credible sources? That’s an odd statement to make and I personally have many doubts, but if you can prove this information I would be willing to hear you out.
@@ImOnAJourney if you research how he treated his son's half black child you might see him in a different light. He was however from a different time and era.
Two pros appreciating each other. I always loved when Buddy came on because you knew it would be funny but you had no idea where he was going with a story.
I like listening to the variations in the opening theme because I am strange so please upload more episodes with opening titles (I have already collected all the avaliable ones on TH-cam)
Is that the joke that ends with, “I don’t know - I never ”?? (PS I didn’t want to give it away 😉) If you’re talking about that one, that is a really funny joke and so typical of Hackett’s joke telling finesse!
Out of curiosity, why is that? I know a few people who never cared for him but when I inquired why they didn’t care for him, they can’t give me an answer. That just always piques my interest 🤷🏻
I don't think this is one of his better appearances. I think he's a riot, but to each his own. For example, I never thought Bob Hope was the least bit funny, and I'm definitely in the minority on that one.
@@jkjives1786 He told a couple of good jokes here, but you’re right in it not being great. I also agree with you on Hope. I always thought he must have really been good everywhere except where I saw him. I thought he was ok in movies and TV broadcasts of USO shows, anything else … blah.
All these years later and I still miss those guys. May they rest in peace.
watching johnny carson on youtube, it's like he never left the air
I miss the guy who invented the jigsaw puzzle. May he rest, in pieces.

When I was a kid, if Buddy Hackett, Rickles, or Buddy Rich was on, it was must see. Could’nt miss it! Pls keep these coming!! Awesome!
Absolutely hilarious. When Buddy was on the Carson show, you knew it was going to be good that night

😂🤣😂👏😂👏😂 Fuuunnnyyy!!!
There will never be another Johnny Carson. He was, and still is, the best talk show host ever.
He owned slaves

Partly, yes

Buddy Hackett is a comic genius. also a very talented singer and dancer.
Oh the memories of watching Johnny before bedtime!
Thank you for this channel. Wonderful to end a day by enjoying Johnny and his guests......just like in The Good Old Days❤😅
Buddy sat next to me at BevHills concert in 1976. CRACKED ME UP. AND concert was great.
Buddy was a lovable pixie. Such a sweet genuine soul.
Miss them so much😢.

Wow 41 years ago today. That sure went by fast.
Buddy was underrated and still is. Is rarely mentioned as one of the greats even though he was
I never would imagine how great a singer and dance buddy Hackett was excellent in the music man
Shipoopee Shipoopee!
@@chrisarseneault5617 I LOVE IT
Buddy was in "The Music Man"? Didn't realize.
Great laughs.
A Legend. This guy was screamin' funny.
There will never be anyone like these folks of those times.
"Stars" nowadays don't have the charm or charisma.
Buddy was one of the guests that you just knew was going to be funny.
I've been telling that joke about the Chinese guy and the Jewish guy for years, after first hearing Buddy tell it to Johnny. I'm glad I found it.
Buddy is the best!
Wonderful to hear real humor
I laughed my butt off!
The, "What do I know about NHL hockey?" joke I tell to this day.
How to get canceled in three simple words.
Greenberg Goldberg Iceberg...
Do what?
Moe, Larry and Buddy. Has a nice ring to it. Might have worked for awhile.

Would there be any chance of uploading Orson Welles’ appearance where he promotes F for Fake with the telling of Picasso and his missing paintings?
Classic goodness, right there! Only the Master can get away with such a story!
The three legged chicken story is a classic Buddy story. Told it on another Carson episode. It's on yt somewhere.

Hilarious. Too bad a lot of people would find this offensive nowadays. People need to get sticks out of their behinds.
Those people aren't worth listening to or considering.

good one

Great to Jocky Wilson made it to the Carson show...why no talk of darts?
