how is her personality different in french? i wish i could understand her interviews, sadly i only know her "english speaking personality" :(
When she speaks in french she is more shy, secretive,cold. She seems more relax in english, like she gets some distance with herself using this language.
@@MickaelValliI agree. I've admired this woman for years and noticed that too. She can come across as very aloof sometimes but in English interviews she is more open and relaxed. Her interviews with Charlie Rose are really good.

Pff...ok,but she died in 1967 at 25 and catherine was yet the star of ALL her movies since 1964(wich was not the case of Françoise)...until ...NOW!...after 60 years at the top,she has nothing to prove...she's THE number one french actress!

"She Left Us" interesting way to put it. Her Sister was Killed in a car crash. She made that fatal error, drove herself to the airport. Had been staying with her Sister Catherine. It's said Ms Deneuve cannot stand 'surprises' now.

I don’t think Catherine Deneuve can include herself in the experience of being a working single parent as the ‘average’ single parent.
As far as single working mothers, each has their own unique set of problems. As an adult, her daughter Chirara complained of how her mother wasn't there for her as a child, that she was always off making a movie somewhere.

Shame she didn't want to speak about Francoise
It took her years to even realize she had never dealt with her death, that she had not gone through the grieving process and come to terms with it. Being the private person she is, I can see why she didn't want to go there. If the interviewer had asked her more about Francoise professionally, I am sure she would have spoken of her.
