Ridiculous. Having the "vanta black" dial is negated by the lack of anti reflective coating. What kind of numbskull puts a reflective crystal over a dial like this? Massive fail.
Yeah, AR really really needs to be better... disappointing videos of the $25,000 Moser Venturer Vantablack show equally bad reflections from the crystal!!
Shame about the lack of coating, kind of nullifies the concept. Hi beat movement too at that price. The steel strap looks very appealing. Thanks for the review.
Hi Ivan…always enjoy your reviews! For me this misses because it doesn’t seem to know what it wants to be. They could have gone more dress watch to ape the Moser, or more Seamaster black-black (with bezel markings etc.) if they were trying to make a dive watch. But, for me it looks like a collection of parts that weren’t meant to be on the same watch, though at least it’s quite original. Happy New Year to you!
Hi there - thanks for your comment. I agree with much of that, I think their Redentore version is much more like the Moser, whereas this one is certainly trying to be more sporty. I guess it serves as a dressier looking everyday watch you don’t have to take off even if diving or jet-skiing. Happy new year to you! :)
It's just a piece of jewelry, if the sun's out you could probably do as well just glancing at its position. The nh35 is very appropriate here since in my (limited) experience they aren't much good at actually keeping consistent time. The dive style is a bit pointless, the only reason to take into the water is to stop someone stealing it if you take it off. A completely pointless "watch"
It’s a fascinating watch as it incorporates aspects of being jewellery but is definitely more than that. The NH35 is accurate but for the price many expect better. The dive style is only helpful to me in that the bezel pip can be used to indicate 12 and therefore allows you to tell the time in the dark. The water resistance is also helpful as it means I don’t have to bother taking it off for a swim or a shower. Lots of great features!
Thanks, Ivan, for another excellent, honest, passion-driven review. "Nereide" in Italian is pronounced in three syllables. Also, in your pronounciation of "Venezianico", try shifting your stress from the second n to the "ia".
At that price I think I would have used a Miyota 9039 and slimmed down the watch a bit. Also, you're right, the flecto ruins the effect they were going for.
@@PerthWAtch I feel like either you and I have different tastes, or you were being charitable. Either way is okay. I enjoy your channel and have missed you in my feed lately. Happy New Years!
hello Doctor Ivan?! how are you? I guess that either you are being "lazy" as a watch guy or being too busy as a "doctor", ha ha. Your watch reviews have been fewer and fewer🥲, very unfortunately. Anyway, As I am not so happy with your less frequent reviews , I am less happy about this watch. I am not so sure what Venezianico is trying to do here. I can clearly see that this isn't a dress watch and also having that kind of completely naked black dial without any indication of numbers or markers (even on the bezel) & the lack of AR???? Commmon!!! , I do not see how it can be even used as a diver. Even when it is as a normal watch, it is not so easy to tell the time. And as for the price, it is quite expensive. NH35A with a ghost position?! More than $500.00? Even without a metal bracelet? (that nylon strap seems very low cost strap to say the least) Furthermore, as I can see, the finishing of the case isn't that good either. Very soft and undefined look. Actually, I have seen better case finishing from Pagani Design than this Venezianico. Also, by the way, if this is a proper diver watch, as you said, why does it have a space man on the moon on the back case? I do not understand. Is there some ocean you can dive into on the moon? ha ha ha I have seen few other Venezianico watch reviews before, I do not think that this company has gotten their acts together yet. Anyway, bit of disappoint on the watch. Ivan, please bring out your secrete weapon (something unique, interesting, awesome & great value...etc) for your next review. I will be waiting. And please do not take so long for the next one. okay?! 😜 Happy New Year! Dr. Ivan.
Thank you for the thoughtful and insightful comment as always, Alex. I think one might be able to dive in the Sea of Tranquillity perhaps hahaha?? I am working on the next review now but not sure it fits the bill of "unique" or "awesome"... anyway, will await your thoughts. Apologies for the less frequent content these days... I think I alluded to the busyness of life taking over before, guess that's the reality I have to handle - it's all good and life is full, but it means TH-cam sometimes has to take a backseat. Happy New Year to you my friend. Thank you for your unwavering support and for being the number 1 commenter again! :)
@@PerthWAtch Happy New Year, Ivan. by the way, I am showing "unwavering support" only because your work is truly sincere and has integrity. Thank YOU for that.

For when you only need an approximate time
And approximate timing :)

It is so blaaack that I can’t tell the time
😂🤣
I am obviously too stingy for this hobby😂, but great review Ivan, thank you!
Haha don’t worry, there’s something for everyone :)
The fingerprint on the crystal is killing me
Wipe it off then 😂

I'm thinking about ordering it with a rubber strap...but at the end: is it worth 600 Euros ? 🤔🤔🤔
Wait for sale :)

Thanks for the tips - I’ll give it a go if I ever review another from this brand, although I’d most likely still cock it up 😆

Thanks for the thoughts Bryan. I think their Redentore version would be slimmer.
$500 for a ghost date NH35? Surely they could have sprung for the 38 or a no date Miyota 9000 movement
Yeah that’s what I thought too
Your reviews are tremendous. Is it because they're honest? Yep. Is it because you're well balanced in presentation, yep .
Thank you bud!
Thank you very much for the kind words - much appreciated, and Happy New Year to you! :)
A museum watch with Lume and a dive bezel. It's growing on me.
Haha good description
Very cheap looking watch🥴
Did your autocorrect change “clean” to “cheap”??
Beautiful watch . Many thanks for the review
Most welcome :)
Good review. This watch doesn't excite me, but thinking outside the box is a good thing.
Thank you for the thought - Happy New Year! :)
@@PerthWAtch You too my friend. Have a Blessed New Year!
Actually think its pretty cool tbh. 😍👍
Thanks Steve! :)
Interesting year can't wait until next year
Thank you - much appreciated!
Good review, thanks. NH35 has its place, but not in a $500 watch with no date function. I’ve never been a fan of ghost positions.
Thank you for your comment!
To say $550 USD "might be pushing it" is a pretty big understatement, IMO.
Misconceived from beginning to end.
I do dig the caseback, though.
Better than saying it’s great value ;)
