I saw the original one made by Movado quite a few years ago using this deep black material. A lot more expensive as you can imagine. I actually got to see a small piece of the material itself in the boutique and it's like looking into a black hole! The only problem is that the effect basically disappears as soon as it's covered by a crystal, and you have to make an effort to avoid reflections to see the effect, which is almost impossible. "Ain't nobody got time for that!“ 😂 But for the price, why not? It's a great dress watch design and the bracelet is very refined.
As you can imagine, this one is very hard to photograph. I tended to try and show the dial with a combination of dark black and reflected light, so you can see the difference. It's just a more interesting shot. But yes, like you mentioned, it's definitely deeper in person. Love this bracelet!
It looks so good! I think you missed the ordering window, though. Maybe they'll do another batch in the future, or you can keep a lookout in the secondary market.
I think some of the issue is seeing the watch under the studio lights, and even the outside shots on video. I'm trying to emphasize all the aspects of the watch, but it does look better in person. The black isn't even close to being captured on video.
Aftermarket bracelets with end links are hard to match up, unless the bracelet manufacturer has made the bracelet specifically for a watch. But you could always get a straight end link bracelet. Of course many other straps would look good on this watch too. Look at the Montreux strap I put on it here: th-cam.com/video/Y9hXyYOjh6Y/w-d-xo.html
This is built on their diver case, but it's meant to be more of a sport watch. You'd be surprised at how closely you can guess where the markers are, though...nearly to the minute! I surprise myself when wearing this one. They also have a dress version of this.
@@WatchWitt I think it is super handsome. Very different. I want to buy one......but a timing bezel with out marks🙄 I have a squale similar to that, but it does some marks on the bezel. None on the dial. Stunning watch from gnomon, but still functional. The 1521 case.....500m odd one.
@Koishishibaman That one does sound interesting! Check out this version of the Venezianico...you can also get it on the same bracelet. They just opened another pre-order window for both watches. th-cam.com/video/TXtkXCwFcJg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=a_3Qn0oVIYog5jRg
I tried the Boldr one, and to be honest I am not a fan of the all black dials in a diver style watch. Maybe in a field watch case or even a dress watch, I would have liked it. Thanks for the video 👍🏽
It's definitely different. I do think of this as more of a sport watch than a diver or dress watch. I like their Redentore version of the Ultrablack too...fits more like you're talking about, but I like the legibility of this handset better.
A bit too pricey for me compared to other micros out there. Could've used a Miyota 9000 movement instead for the proce. But their mark up could be because of their tax since they're from Italy.
I think a lot of the price is the time and quality control it takes to build a black dial watch of this magnitude. It HAS to be super clean. Venezianico seems to be placing themselves just above many other microbrands, because of their build quality. Seems to be gaining attention for them. They build a great watch!
@@WatchWitt I checked some of their other stuff. Still a bit pricey compared to other brands with the same movement. Their dials are beautiful though, especially the dress watches. But I don't think it's as worth it due to the movements. Maybe because I live in Asia that similar watches with similar movements are priced lower.
@@WatchWitt Their dials are definitely exceptional like the REDENTORE Bellanotte or the limited edition Marco Polo one. Even the case back looks amazing. Giving these some thought. The movement's the one that is really holding me back.
It's quite the look with that dial. I have the Redentore and really like it. This is a little easier to read with the white lume on the hands. Thanks for the vid!
Great comparison. I thought that I liked the Redentore Ultrablack looks better initially. But this one really adapted into my style easily, and you have a point about that handset. Plus, the lume is very legible. My favorite part of it is how well the sliver of lume plot on the seconds hand shows up!
I really like Venezianico watches Witt. I own the Redentore Ultrablack 40mm and the Nereide Tungsteno Blue Dial, and both are simply spectacular 👌 Thank you for sharing. Hope all is well and that you have a wonderful weekend my friend 👍
Best quote, "So many watches, so little time....and money" - I couldn't agree more. 👍
I show a lot of watches, considering I live by that mantra!
Very nice watch. I just received the Redentore Avventurina 40mm. Beautiful watch
Awesome...I'll have to check out your video...!
Astonishing watch .
Many thanks for great revew.
Nizar
The dial is absolutely stunning!

"the effect basically disappears as soon as it's covered by a crystal" lol exactly
Looks like something Neo would wear in the matrix
Definitely has that cool factor!
Wow. I’m definitely a fan!

Needs more AR coating then I’ll buy it

Will it fit any other after market bracelets ? Not nato

Great looking watch. Must buy on the bracelet. But why maje a timing bezel.....no marks? That makes it useless. No buy for me.

The watch very nice
Definitely a beauty!
Yea, I agree the black nylon strap seems lame. LUV the bracelet....but, a jet black alligator strap might work.
Almost any strap you want should work...beauty of black (or white) dials! But this bracelet is fantastic!

@Aries0098 Locale can definitely drive/influence prices!

@Aries0098 They definitely have some beautiful dials! Seems to be a bit of their signature.

I love this case, and the bezel is spectacular. Solid, tactile clicks and easy to grab! Have a great weekend...enjoy that new car!!!
@WatchWitt Thank you very much Witt 👍🙌
