This is a bit of a difficult watch for me. I respect the road traveled, and the road he’s now on. But it feels as though after working in and profiting from a shock jock style career, coming to terms with the world as it is now (when the average dude has their own megaphone to amplify and spread their opinion as opposed to those who were otherwise chosen) and his own past, a reborn and renewed Jude is struggling with a holier than thou stance that is so antithetical to his previous character. Just a man coming to terms with himself and his past (and his influence) and we’re all here to watch it. It feels like watching and listening to an inner monologue.
On F&L II. You're late my friend. Everything that needed to be said has been said. He's doing his art for the sake of himself, not the commercial space. The "culture" gave that mantle to Kendrick Lamar (no shade) and he told them he wasn't their saviour either. It's up you to figure that politics out. We're good over here doing silent reflection, meditation & growth. Those are the necessary essentials to life, Not which arm of corporate profit you're vibing with. Peace...and much love to ya.
