I just purchased this exact unit yesterday, same year and color, with 195 miles on it,and the power steering, is going to be great..Im 68 and this is my first ATV.Wont be doing crazy stuff ,just cruising..
Very well done video. As a 62 yo noob looking to get my first atv, it was very informative. The opening sequence showing how you ride and utilize the machine was great. Excellent review!
Seems like you've had yours a little longer than I have, had any issues yet? I've put about 600 miles on my 22 570 Trail and haven't had a single issue yet.
I personally used this quad last year until i got a renegade 850 2019 i am 6 feet tall age 16 and i loved the thing it was the best i had a 2015 sportsman 570
Great video! Bought 2 570's 2017 and had them for a year now. Agree with everything you said. Wiring harness for the winch control is pre-installed at the factory which takes a little bit of the headache out of install. The only complaint of this machine is that the battery on both of them had to be upgraded to a bigger one and the relays for the EFI system do not like the extreme cold. Overall I love these machines.
Good review, I have the 2017 570 and agree on the EBS. It is too strong even after 800 miles. I've rolled mine twice and bent the bars. But overall a great machine. I've broke a latch on the front compartment and had to reinforce the hinge as I broke that riding a little too rough. I ride very aggressively and have dented 3 of the rims, but the bike is still running well. I would buy it again.
VeRn allen mine did that as well, was out swamping in the back country in Alaska and had grass and mud cake up on top of the muffler, it caught fire and as soon as it did I jumped off and luckily had water bottles in the front compartment to put the fire out. In the end I had to pull the rear storage compartment.
Polaris should have figured the prolem and fixed it I bought mine used in winter didn't no how hot they got it the recall fix expired one month after I noticed how bad it was I just don't drive it in over 70 I don't want it to catch fire I always have my 4 year old riding with me
I have two of them great machines. Good video review. Polaris should go back to putting battery under seat. Where it is now is stupid and not easy to take out if need be. I use mine hard and have only minor issues in the last four years, buying a new one this week. Overall great machines!!!
Man, you must be in heaven with all that terrain around you. Those hills look awesome and man I bet ya you can ride all day there. Anyway thank you for the video, very well done. I gave it a gigantic thumbs up. 👍👍
I just bought a new 2018 570 couple days ago. It has the power and the AWD in the mud is awesome. It has the power. Anyone know a way to cover the battery. Olay thing I don’t like is battery location.
I live in maine and someone is selling a 2014 for 3k. Only 3k miles never seen mud with brand new tires. It will be my main trail wheeler while my 83 big red will be my utility and ice fishing wheeler.
Great review and great videos of riding. Question....have you ridden an 850? and if so, how big is the power difference. I am an aggressive dirt bike rider (been out of 4 wheelin' for many years) and a bit worried that I'll need/want more power to do everything. I assume that is why you are considering a 1000?
New sub, great vid, look forward to more. I currently own, Honda, 500 Foreman, and older, but in great shape Yamaha 660 Griz..... I ride with a guy who just one 2 yrs ago, he loves it.
Hey matt question I also have as 2015 Polaris 570 and it doesn’t seem like I have all that horse power like you have on yours my quad doesn’t go up like yours does have you done any thing to your bike to ride like it does
A lot of it is rider ability and body weight mechanics while staying the powerband bud… keep in mind I’ve been riding for over 25 yrs too. If you want it to be perkier, prob clutch kit first
Looks like a pretty solid and honest review, especially considering the time and miles you put on it. I was set on a Honda but the price and maybe ho hum power makes me think if Polaris can't give me what I need. That squeak and no metal racks though... Sure looks like a beautiful area where you are riding.
I have a 2017 570 with EBS/EPS similar to yours. The one thing that drives me crazy is the EBS. If I let off the throttle under 10mph is almost stops you in your tracks. I have about 400 miles on it and it hasn't gotten any better. I think I need to look into a clutch kit.
I have a 16’ 570 My steering squeaks on that with EPS as well. I have a 16’ 450 same squeak and it’s not EPS. But The EBS in my 570 drives me crazy! I hate it id rather have standard on both. I hate how it holds you back around corners and when you go slower speeds always doesn’t seem to know what to do. I’ve learned if you feather the brake and the gas a certain way is doesn’t activate the engine brake.. Other then that it’s gotten me through mostly everything on factory tires. I like it a lot.
how can you get it to wheelie so easily ? i have a 2017 570 and it wont wheelie (i did put on pro armour tires and rims 26x11 rear and 26x9 Front) and a front and rear pro armour bumper
Great review man, I read your review on clever leverage as well. I'm in the market for a rec/utility. Main purpose is for my wife to start riding the trails with me here in AZ. She wants a SxS but I think a smaller bore 4x4 with eps would save me some money. I've been looking at the 2018 polaris 450 with eps. I know there is only a $500 difference between the 450 and 570 but I'm afraid she may whisky throttle and the quad would flip (thinking less likely on the 450). Do you have any thoughts about the 450? Also looking into can am.
Great review! My buddy just bought one of these and had it in the shop within 100 miles due to electrical issues from water crossing (was not deep). However, beyond that it is holding up well and he really likes it. I personally want one after reading about proper care for belt break in and when to use high / low to avoid belt issues. My goal would be to ride stock through warranty and then I would upgrade to a tougher belt AND clutch or cvt (whatever they are called) kit. Living in Alaska and being about 5 hours outside of town for some riding and another 2-3 hours back on a trail makes sense to bullet proof the system.
Matt Justice [Clever Leverage] yeah man that would be a good idea I think the best part of the video was the whole demo in the beginning compared to slow only talking videos cause I ride similar to you. Good stuff for sure
I like mine and I'm in Maine also :-) got it used with 800 mile on it and runs great. You had to pay sales tax when you brought into Maine to have it registered. :-) and it's a four wheeler not a bike just joking with ya...lol
My sportsman 500 squeaked too. Try spraying Fluid Film on the rubber bushings. It worked for me.I tried WD-40 and other sprays but they would only work for a short time.
I bought a new '14 570, have 2k + miles, I horse whip it all the time. it has been completely reliable! Polaris fixed the hot leg problem for free. I do wish i had the EBS model, it is a hard steering machine and the lack of EBS makes it a drag to go down long hills. The engine has good power, my buddy's new grizzly barely out runs me but the 570 has a better center of gravity and is more confident when the trail gets gnarly. I love the AWD system, I switch it in and out on the fly all the time. Matt, you would be happy to swap out those cheap stock tires!
I have a 2018 570 with EPS. Can’t complain about anything other than the power steering ligh came on two months after I got it and it never worked. Service told me to trickle charge battery so I installed a small charger and connected when not in use. Still have the light on and error reading and no power steering. Any help?
I haven't yet, bought sleds instead to play during winter. Kind of regretting it, low snow year... but thinking about picking one up still. The prices for powersports this year is a little nutty!
The 570 is by FAR the best value ATV on the market, I've got the 570 Touring EPS and it's a awesome trail machine. Can't beat Polaris true On Demand AWD, it will pull you threw anything if you have a good set of tires. the 489's AT Stock tires are really cheap in my opinion.
The 570 might be the best value today, but Polaris really screwed themselves in 2016 when they put the de tuned 570 engine in the 450 ho. You could get the 450 a lot cheaper, tune, pipe, and clutch kit, and bigger tires if you wanted and still be under the price of the 570. Only difference is the drive by wire on the 450.
J H you are now having problems after 18 years and you’re complaining? Sounds to me it was built to last. Atv’s are just like cars. You have to take care of them to make them last.
My 570 is the biggest pile of junk on earth. Its snapped 3 cv shafts that wer dry from the factory. It has a charging probblem were it destroys batterys every 3 months. It also has broke the weights off the clutch 3 times. And the guage cluster gose wacko somtimes when you start it. They say theres nothing wrong with it. Junk. First polaris i have ever owned and i will never buy another.
I have a 2017 570 sportsman sp i love it no squeeky handlebars tho but i can have all 3 front lights on or just the 2 bottoms on great atv we are getting another one in april this year
Dennis and Helen we have a 2008 sportsman 400 (450) and it has trouble sometimes shifting from high to reverse. You kinda have to jerk it back and forth once in a while then force it a bit. Just thought I would share.
If your shocks are giving you problems, have you thought about pulling them off and having them rebuilt? If u put it through its paces more then most. You may want to.
Polaris breaks down because the buyer/hater decides to take it put on the first day and beat down on it! If they are taken care of and not butchered then they are a good bike! It all depends on what you plane to use it for. 850 is a lot of power so is the 570, I got the 2019 570 sportsman touring for me and the wife and it's been great, completely bone stock and sunk it twice! With zero issues still have 15 hours until its broke in but I think polaris is a great brand if you dont plan on turning it into a pontoon or drive it off a cliff and expect it to still run! If your planning on thick and deep mud rides then polaris might not be for you, Yamaha or CAN AM or even Honda for that! But if your just backwoods riding or casual trail riding this machine is perfect but that just my opinion.
The storage is great! I just wish they wpuld have made the lid a bit more sturdy! I just got a 2019 touring! And love it! Nothing fancy just base model no power sterring or ebs. Its a great machine in my opinion! Others hate them because they expect to buy it beat the hell out of it and expect it not to break!
Agreed. I hate that I can't grab the lid like a rack and pull on the machine. Yep, but I just got off a Honda, and while it'll last 20 years, man the ride quality just isn't there. Polaris is faster, smoother, and can cover more ground per day. (yep, you'll have to replace some bearings from time to time, but soooooo much more comfortable)
I added the diode in the headlight wiring that allows all 3 lights to be on. Low beam is 2 lights, high beam is all 3. You would be surprised to know having the 3d light on does absolutely nothing as you would expect. No real world illumination difference. I was one of the many lucky ones who got the faulty BOSCH fuel pump that failed in less than 20 hours. Since it was out of their generous 6 month warranty they expected me to pay like $650.00 to fix it. I put my own in for $40 bucks... The way I see it is that a warranty is a show of confidence by the manufacturer that the product is good. 6 month warranties tell me that its supposed to be good until you get it home and then it's your problem. Just like I got burned owning a Dodge lemon, I will never buy polaris again. Next time I will pay a little more and get a quality brand like Honda. Just my 2 cents. The single best thing I think you can add to any atv is the gator gripp attachment. I can hold a 12 ft long pole saw, shovel, you name it in the grip and never comes loose- I dont know why the gator gripp doesn't come as a factory accessory.
I got mine a week ago love mine done put 60 miles on mine but mine is the base model wish I would have opt for power steering and the touring model but at the time I didn’t think it was worth the extra money but now I wish I would have we really don’t abuse ours just ride around the fields and local trails however I did sink it a mud puddle few days after owning it want do that again got it stuck and don’t own a winch yet and then it took 5 hrs to clean all the mud off lol but I’m really enjoying mine for the money don’t think u can go wrong
Any particular reason I'm kinda leaning towards the 450 for the price and since its actually 500 and I've ridden the old 500 and 400 and both seemed more than sufficient.
Anyone that complains about the quad bottoming out, while the shocks are on the lowest setting, doesn't need a 1000. Also, a 570 isn't an "entry level quad".
I can't agree with you more! I am really impressed with my 570 base model, and I have a built TRX 450r for the dunes. 570 is almost as fast in the trails, or even the dunes, but it's almost fast All day! One day I will upgrade, but a 570 is a lot of fun!
Motor wise it's been excellent. I'd say the drivetrain is so-so, but obviously I'm beating on it pretty hard. It's no Honda, but then again a Honda will never keep up with this thing.
Question for any of you Polaris Sportsman 570 owners. I am torn between the 570 and the 2021 Kawasaki Brute Force® 750 4X4i. The problem I am having is that I hear that the 570 does not last as long as the Kawasaki and the parts on Polaris are much higher then the others. I have seen many videos on Kawasaki that last for years, but not the Polaris. Have any 570 or Polaris owners had their for years and what about the price of parts?
I owned two of them, one with eps, one without. The EPS machine was clunky, all sorts of issues. The non EPS actually ran great with no issues. Still, the 570 did nothing for me, they just seem so cheap, terrible battery placement. I've owned a brute force, no comparison, the brute is built so much better.
I just got a new 570 Sportsman, I read a lot of bad reviews after I purchased it, also read a lot of good reviews. Does anyone know why when starting off in reverse or forward, it jerks. I had a blue tarp on my garage floor, when I slowly accelerated, the tarp moved back. Even on solid ground, slowly pulling the acceleration lever, or slowly releasing it, it jerks. I see that as a problem, if I want to plow snow.
You have to break it in for a bit to get the EBS to loosen up. It should feel like you're about to be thrown through the windshield when you let out of the throttle at slow speed when you first get it...
Thank you so much for the quick reply! I got up this morning, wondering if I need to exchange this model for another model, (not so easy), I thought that a longer throttle lever would give me more control, seems like the thumb throttle is not as controllable as a hand throttle would be. How long, or how many miles do you think it would take to break in. I'm afraid when parking it in my garage, that I will crash into my Husqvarna. Just riding around the property, I felt like a Mexican Jumping Bead, very erratic.
Reuben Phillips it shouldn’t be that bad, maybe I miss understood the jumpiness. A few hard rides should do the trick... if not take it back to the dealer and have them adjust it.
So this video just got ruined... copyright strike from youtube for a music track I purchased to use in this video. Expect some weird audio transitions now as this has been stripped out and replaced with the wrong music tempo. Sucks
TH-cam is absolutely terrible with the copyright takedowns and strikes. The process is bad, the review of fair use is bad and gives power to literally anyone claiming copyright regardless of whether they have any interest in the actual copyright. You need to stick to using music that’s clearly in the public domain to even have a chance at fighting it.
Vid starts off just straight up UTILIZING! LOVE IT!
I just purchased this exact unit yesterday, same year and color, with 195 miles on it,and the power steering, is going to be great..Im 68 and this is my first ATV.Wont be doing crazy stuff ,just cruising..
You'll love it. Plenty of power
Now this is the definition of a real review. Nice job!
Very well done video. As a 62 yo noob looking to get my first atv, it was very informative. The opening sequence showing how you ride and utilize the machine was great. Excellent review!
Just picked up the 2022 version and anxious to break it in and see for myself. 👍
Seems like you've had yours a little longer than I have, had any issues yet? I've put about 600 miles on my 22 570 Trail and haven't had a single issue yet.

Overall I love these machines.
You're going to absolutely love the 1000 !!!
Have had problems with the right side over heating and power steering.
Hows your 570 holding up how many miles you got should do an update video.
great review, bought one after viewing it, thanks!!!
B Smith I wish I had that type of money 😂
@@miguelmendivil7650 they're cheaper than most others
Good review, I have the 2017 570 and agree on the EBS. It is too strong even after 800 miles. I've rolled mine twice and bent the bars. But overall a great machine. I just bought a new 2018 570 couple days ago. It has the power and the AWD in the mud is awesome. It has the power. Anyone know a way to cover the battery. Olay thing I don’t like is battery location.
I have a 2017 570 and i hate the battery placement down on the bottom of the frame between the front wheels
I love my 2019 sportsman 570. I don't ride a whole lot being an otr trucker but it's been great.
Stay safe out there Brother
I'm a local trucker
Love these types of reviews
I absolutely love my 570 and the beginning of your video was so bad ass lol 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I totally agree with the getting stuck part! I don’t know if you can get these stuck 450 or 570
Haha I find I get high centered rather than being stuck
Did you ever upgrade to the 1000? Great video sir!
I live in maine and someone is selling a 2014 for 3k. Only 3k miles never seen mud with brand new tires. It will be my main trail wheeler while my 83 big red will be my utility and ice fishing wheeler.

Do get a lot of buzz/vibration from 2500-4000rpm?
New sub, great vid, look forward to more. I currently own, Honda, 500 Foreman, and older, but in great shape Yamaha 660 Griz..... I ride with a guy who just one 2 yrs ago, he loves it.
A dose of Graphite power in your squeaky steering column should do it .
Good video i have a x2 500 thing rocks for 2 up work play and yes the front rack storage is best idea of any atv company
Hey matt question I also have as 2015 Polaris 570 and it doesn’t seem like I have all that horse power like you have on yours my quad doesn’t go up like yours does have you done any thing to your bike to ride like it does

Spray water under the steering wheel
Handle bar
Did u have to tighten any bolts or retorque once u had the 570 broken in after the first service. 👍
Finbar O’Sullivan I did all kinds of shit broke on mine
Do you have any over heating issues with the rear getting dirty?
I live in southern Maine. What area were you in during the video
Do you wrench on your polaris bikes? If so how has experience been with it? Thanks
From Maine also , where was you rideing
how can you get it to wheelie so easily ? i have a 2017 570 and it wont wheelie (i did put on pro armour tires and rims 26x11 rear and 26x9 Front) and a front and rear pro armour bumper
I have the 550, the model that the 570 replaced and mine let’s me turn all three headlights on, I guess that’s new for the 570.
The 550 is infinitely better made than the 570. The only great quality the 570 has is its engine. Everything else is junk and cut corner.
our 570 let's us turn all three headlights on

@polaris this is actually the video that made me buy one of these
Good to know! I've gotten a bunch of emails saying the same... wondering if I should start a second channel that reviews four wheelers. Any ideas?
Matt Justice [Clever Leverage] yeah man that would be a good idea I think the best part of the video was the whole demo in the beginning compared to slow only talking videos cause I ride similar to you. Good stuff for sure
Cool intro 👍
What is the purpose of the EBS ? can you over-ride the EBS
Whereabouts in maine do you ride? I just upgraded from an 01 sportsman 500 to an 2018 sportsman 850
Brian Connelly black fly loop, rangely
Nice. My buddies and I have a camp in cornville.
I like mine and I'm in Maine also :-) got it used with 800 mile on it and runs great. You had to pay sales tax when you brought into Maine to have it registered. :-) and it's a four wheeler not a bike just joking with ya...lol
Excellent video. Great quality.
570 owners, search the internet, if your not scared to snip wires, there is a fix for the headlights that works great!
Casey Campbell I’ve done the 3 light mod on 4 of them...works perfect!
Yep. Did the same. Works great
Back in the day the switch would stay in between the two and stay on!
My sportsman 500 squeaked too. Try spraying Fluid Film on the rubber bushings. It worked for me.I tried WD-40 and other sprays but they would only work for a short time.
I ride Kawasaki because it had 300 miles on it when I got it. It does everything my friends 570 does, but I still wish I had a Polaris
Do a review on the spot 1000 or the outlander 570
U have gotten better
I bought a new '14 570, have 2k + miles, I horse whip it all the time. it has been completely reliable! Polaris fixed the hot leg problem for free. Matt, you would be happy to swap out those cheap stock tires!
Drill a hole in the steering stem, install a drive in grease fitting and your squeak will be history.
Have you done this? Video by chance?? Not hard I know, just leary of it...
Nice riding and review. Thanks
I have a 2018 570 with EPS. Can’t complain about anything other than the power steering ligh came on two months after I got it and it never worked. Dom Russo buy a can am
Definitely one way to put it to the 570!
Great video man! Did you end up purchasing the 1000? I have a 570 at the moment and I love it. Always room for more power though. Safe riding!
I haven't yet, bought sleds instead to play during winter. Kind of regretting it, low snow year... but thinking about picking one up still. The prices for powersports this year is a little nutty!
Have you ridden 2 up? Im looking for a utility trail machine that i can put a 2up on occasionally.
My wife and I ride 2 up on our Sportsman 570 all the time and it works just fine
I just don't like how it's all plastic, can you even use them for heavy stuff
Trevor 803 no my broke with 2 bags of seed lol
I call them the Polaris plastic
ya like if you hit something I bet it'll just crack all to hell or god forbid you flip it 😂
Ya, all the plastic is really the only bad thing I can think of with Polaris.
Blake’s Services i guess you’ve never thought about reliability 🤦♂️

J H you are now having problems after 18 years and you’re complaining? Sounds to me it was built to last. Atv’s are just like cars. You have to take care of them to make them last.
Awd sucks almost as bad as visco lok
My 570 is the biggest pile of junk on earth. Its snapped 3 cv shafts that wer dry from the factory. It has a charging probblem were it destroys batterys every 3 months. It also has broke the weights off the clutch 3 times. And the guage cluster gose wacko somtimes when you start it. They say theres nothing wrong with it. Junk. First polaris i have ever owned and i will never buy another.
I have a 2017 570 sportsman sp i love it no squeeky handlebars tho but i can have all 3 front lights on or just the 2 bottoms on great atv we are getting another one in april this year
Just seen this post. I have the identical machine you have. Does yours shift hard from forward to reverse? Mine does and I plow with mine.
Dennis and Helen we have a 2008 sportsman 400 (450) and it has trouble sometimes shifting from high to reverse. You kinda have to jerk it back and forth once in a while then force it a bit. Just thought I would share.
Dennis and Helen really late reply but if yours is shifting hard hold the break really soft while shifting and it should shift easier
At what hours does it need service
I love it, but, does this have electronic thumb shift?
I have a 570 all my lights come on at the same time . Spray some wd40 silicone on the bushing.
If your shocks are giving you problems, have you thought about pulling them off and having them rebuilt? If u put it through its paces more then most. You may want to.
You in NH?
Great review. Should I buy the 800? All i hear is polaris breaks down.
@@bullionbouncer5080 Thanks so much.!
Love the machine, we have one and it has been great. We have a 1000 xp also and love it.
I have a brand new 2019 570 soon enough I’ll be getting some 28’s maybe 29’s on it with a new exhaust system and maybe a stereo system :-)
Just looking to see if you have a video of what it sounds like with a different Exhaust system
I'd like to see it vs a grizzly 550
Kyle King actually you would need to compare it to the 700 grizzly it’s only 4 hp shy of the 700. The 500 would not be a fair comparison
I got mine a week ago love mine done put 60 miles on mine but mine is the base model wish I would have opt for power steering and the touring model but at the time I didn’t think it was worth the extra money but now I wish I would have we really don’t abuse ours just ride around the fields and local trails however I did sink it a mud puddle few days after owning it want do that again got it stuck and don’t own a winch yet and then it took 5 hrs to clean all the mud off lol but I’m really enjoying mine for the money don’t think u can go wrong
good info, just bought one!
How's that 570 holding up after 10 months?
My 2016 Sportsman 570 still runs great & I have no squeaks on my handlebars.
I want to drink a beer with this guy.
I have two 2017 570’s and two 450’s I kinda of like my 2 450’s better but I’m happy with both
Any particular reason I'm kinda leaning towards the 450 for the price and since its actually 500 and I've ridden the old 500 and 400 and both seemed more than sufficient.
Anyone that complains about the quad bottoming out, while the shocks are on the lowest setting, doesn't need a 1000. Also, a 570 isn't an "entry level quad".
1 year and only 500 miles?! Barely broken in. 500 miles is like a good long weekend of riding.
I know right iv had mine for a month and I have 134 miles
I can't agree with you more! I am really impressed with my 570 base model, and I have a built TRX 450r for the dunes. 570 is almost as fast in the trails, or even the dunes, but it's almost fast All day! One day I will upgrade, but a 570 is a lot of fun!
How is the quality of the 570?
Motor wise it's been excellent. I'd say the drivetrain is so-so, but obviously I'm beating on it pretty hard. It's no Honda, but then again a Honda will never keep up with this thing.
How many belts did u go through in that 1 year
Adam Does things none, still on the original
Damn you paid $6500 out the door?? Where there some crazy incentives at the time or what? Can you negotiate a bunch off the MSRP on these?
Its like 7000 msrp
My 2016 sportsman 570sp has the capability to have all lights on at the same time.
You can buy a jumper wire to run all 3 lights at once on amazon, about $14.
the 570 is a great motor - !
Is this better than the 570 can am ?
andy original yes much better but a Honda is better still
Micheal Gray at what being slow as a 110
So what am I slow I will wip any canned ham in the mud
The only place a canned ham is better is on the drag or in skeg
Does any body know approximately how much fuel the 570 uses? Like How many Kilometers per Liter?
BeeKay i have a 2017 one, mine uses 5 leters every 2-3 hour of use (50-70km average) . It’s not too bad
Well yeah the brute force is like 3 grand more than this.
The 570 quad is beat power to weight ratio Polaris made its able to play and work......the other quad I'd recommend is a kawi brute force
Yo anyone know any good trails in Maine I have a 450 and an 850 but only use pits and can’t find trails
Sketchers kid4 what part?
I own a 2019 570 efi 2 up best thing i had ever bought
Gos everywhere my farther in laws 2016 cfmoto zforce 800ex
Pretty impressive this thing can haul coats and candy bars around with them plastic racks.
How to get the speed until 60km/h
Tuukka Leppänen you push the throttle all the way 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Wow is every thing still stock
Adam Does things yes
What an awesome place to ride!
