About the "confusion": This week they were nominated for a Latin Grammy in the Best Rock Song category for their song Q+Q. They announced the nomination on their social media, and then Rudy shared some photos of them celebrating with the Lava Records team. I saw a bunch of Twitter users sharing the photos and congratulating them on their "award," but their celebration was actually just about being nominated.
Yeah the Latin Grammy award ceremony will take place on november 14. Almost two months from now.
I think I got that nomination confused with their Auto Sun Push nomination... oh well! appreciate this info nonetheless.

The ones that won was a K-POP group/band and they were not even mentioned as the winners.
But DPA are nominated for the Latin Grammy for best Rock song, so hopefully they will win if they don't get robbed. Their mom is also included in the nomination for helping with the lyrics i presume.

The VMA award was for performance of the year for the Automatic Sun push performance video. They didn’t even announce the nominees or the winners on the VMA broadcast, which was very annoying. During the broadcast one website did mistakenly post tThe Warning as the winners, but that was eventually taken down. It wasn’t until a few minutes after the broadcast they announced the winner on Twitter as Le Sserafim which isn’t too much of a surprise since they have a much larger fan base.

Yep, they didn't announce the nominees nor the winner. Which was a great show of disrespect from MTV, not only to Dany, Pau and Ale, but also to the other artists nominated.
Shame on MTV.
About the winner. Well, MTV VMAs are basically a popularity contest. Hard to beat a group created only two years ago in an office, by suits, that has almost 9 million followers on Instagram alone. Having said that, it'd be interesting to know in which place The Warning ended up.

I'd bet there were no other "rockstars" to be seen for miles :) but hey, i keep thinking they will be a staple in rock music by the time it comes back around to the mainstream

Hello Glenn! I hope you and Adrian get well soon cos of the Covid you got going to Boston…. I saw the reaction you Glenn did about “Black Holes” and “Breathe” , even if Adrian doesn’t favor the acoustic stuff to much you have to make him watch those 2 songs at Pepsi Center, Pau’s performance is epic! 😢 And well, you saw that crowd too. 🤘🏼⚡️
Hi Cristian! I've seen that one. Pretty incredible, both the songs and it's the first time I've seen anyone in this (or any) band actually break down into tears. I was like, holy s*, this is pretty intense! I read about the story behind "Breathe" (in the comments) just before seeing that clip, so it kind of hit me like a ton of bricks, all at once, when it happened - I understood what I heard, what I just saw and what I had read. As for acoustic songs, I like them well enough, I just don't bang my head to that stuff 🙂. And those acoustic performances I saw there, by Pau, were awesome and _intense_. Oh and about this video here... encouraging to hear that there seems to be a return to instruments in popular music (as opposed to computers). I also remember that meat dress they mentioned, seemed to be all over the news at the time. Also nice to hear them talk more about the different aspects of putting out their latest album, and those are some crazy dresses they're wearing here. Rock on!

No hagan de The Warning unas vacas sagradas, intocables y, por otro lado, a los que manejan su carrera se les está pasando la mano.
Paulina Villarreal, la joven mexicana que ganó el premio a “mejor baterista de rock” del mundo.
Esto más que ayudar, perjudica. No sé de quien haya sido la idea, pero es muy mala.
De verdad ya se lo creyó esta talentosa jovencita, que es la mejor baterista del mundo. Es ridículo.
La carrera de Robin Trower, que iba muy bien se vino abajo cuando a un reportero se le ocurrió la estúpida idea de llamarlo "El Heredero de Hendrix".
Su álbum más alabado por la crítica fue Bridge of Sighs de 1974.
Ese mismo año fue nombrado guitarrista revelación.
Todo iba perfecto en la carrera de Trower, hasta que a un sesudo periodista se le ocurrió apodarlo "El Heredero de Jimi Hendrix". Flaco favor le hicieron a Trower.
El camino al infierno está empedrado de buenas intenciones. Seguramente al que se le ocurrió esa idea, pensó que sería benéfico para Trower, pero fue todo lo contrario, el mote fue fuego amigo.
En la jerga militar se denomina fuego amigo o fuego aliado a los disparos provenientes del propio bando. Este tipo de incidentes suelen estar producidos por errores, casi siempre humanos, debidos normalmente a fallos en la identificación del objetivo.
The Warning son muy talentosas, lo están haciendo muy bien, pero si empiezan a "inflarlas" con este tipo de reconocimientos, que muchas veces son comprados o más bien de popularidad y no de talento, pero que en última instancia son absurdos.
Ya tenemos muchos fanáticos Richardianos, Zappateros, Waterianos, Hendrixianos, Amlianos y etc. Como para que ahora aparezcan los Warnianos.

Sounds very anecdotal. More concern of harm than actual harm. I don’t see any evidence that Pau’s award has harmed the band. That’s my opinion, anyway. Trower’s peak was 50 years ago, a different time than today for the music industry. No internet, no social media to help balance any wild claims. And, her award, wasn’t it a readership’s choice? So I am not as concerned as the author. The band’s popularity has exploded in the last year.

México tiene guitarristas grabando codo a codo, desde Andrés Berlanga con Robert Johnson, en 1936, hasta Carlos Santana, trabajando con Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck y muchos más; pasando por Lydia Mendoza, la reina mexicana de las 12 cuerdas, que en 1928, a los 12 años de edad, comparte el estudio de grabación con Lonnie Johnson y que muchos expertos en la materia comparan con Leadbelly.
Los mexicanos llevaron a todo el sur de los Estados Unidos y desde 1810, la guitarra, primero la Guitarra Séptima Mexicana y posteriormente la Guitarra Mexicana de 12 cuerdas, que se volvió el motor del blues. La tradición del "Músico Callejero"; Posteriormente tomada por los músicos de blues. El Corrido Mexicano se cantaba en el sur de los Estados Unidos, 100 años antes de la aparición del blues. La influencia del Corrido Mexicano, no sólo es en el blues, sino en otras corrientes, inclusive en el Reggae.
