Boy, did I need to watch this. As someone who was recently diagnosed with a personality disorder, this hit close to home. It shows that you can be an amazing person despite what differences and disabilities you have. Thank you for this animation Minty Root. 😊
Her misaligned eyes are pointing to the middle, making them work correctly only when she looks at things really close from her so her eyes got used to focus on close distances without getting headaches. This way she can get a letter in her mouth from her bag and read the address at the same time instead of using her hooves, saving her a lot of time, and as she is already very fast as she's one of the only pegasus mail carriers it makes her the best mailmare of Ponyville.
Wouldn't Miss Cheerilee be a filly in the part where derpy was at school? In the regular mlp episodes they're about the same age, it would be more likely to see granny smith there as a teacher than Miss Cheerilee... Princess Cheerilee confirmed!!!!
She's as old as Derpy, I made a huge mistake in the scene. I assumed she was older than her but I didn't realize she could be seen as a filly in the flashback of The Cutie Mark Chronicles. It will be fixed in the remastered version.
Oh, the scene was added at the last minute to explain how Derpy made it through the tower in the dark, so I couldn't have the time to explain why she was here. I originally wanted to keep the explanation for the sequel, but it couldn't fit anywhere in the script.
The elements of harmony vanished, leaving the room of the elements in the dark. Princess Celestia is behind this. The film ends with a cliffhanger as there will be a sequel, but the "To be continued" is left after the credits along with a short teaser rather than being just before.
It feels like Derpy was the director of the film AND the main character. Every part of it is well done, but the way the parts are connected is little... off. And the music is desynchronized, too! And some sort of unexplained action in the end no one probably understood - if this all was made intentionally I applaud you! So derpy.

+TheDarkAnimagus It's Fountain of Dreams, which is essentially an orchestral revision of Gourmet Race. The orchestral revision (Fountain of Dreams) debuted and was made for Super Smash Bros. Melee back in 2001, for the stage also named "Fountain of Dreams". Ironically, the stage is very inaccurate to the original "Fountain of Dreams" it is based on in one of the Kirby games; actually, drastically different, but many people consider it one of the best stages in the whole series (and IMO, it's not hard to see why; competitively AND casually)
While some of the music was a bit out of place at times this was still very touching. Fleshing out a character that was never meant to get anything but a glance in a crowd. Well done, this actually really touched me.So, thank you.

My favourite thing in this was the lighting. Very good lighting, and I liked the camera angles. The biggest problem for me was the pacing and music. Unless there's a direct reason for it (such as in suspenseful moments of horror movies), there should never be a silent moment. You could have ambient noise, music, or just continue the monologue. But having this many silent points just makes it seem very choppy. For the same reasons, you shouldn't skip between scenes so much. If you want to keep a story going, you need to develop the story within the scenes rather than having essentially a "photo album" of different shots. Of course, this could just be your style, but in that case, shorten or eliminate the black between scenes, and keep the music continuously going with the monologue.
This is cute, but I don't get it. Wtf was the ending? She landed on an hourglass and a random ball pops out of nowhere and hits these things with the mane six's cutie marks, and pinkie is frozen in.. something, and then she's with celestia? What xD It's cute, but I don't get it
Only thing I can think with the hourglass is doctor whooves, and that place reminds me of the sacred realm from zelda ocarina of time, which those 2 connect Obviously. Doctor Whooves and time? Although I have no idea how this can relate to derpy...

An honest critique, if I may: It is very good and well acted and I think you have some good potential here. However, it feels a teeny bit rushed and incomplete. The story is vague, though that's actually not such a big deal. The bigger problem is the sound editing, honestly. The music's too loud in some places, it comes and goes abruptly, and a lot of it is just too familiar. Not to say it isn't good or that I'm not looking forward to the next thing. But those might be points to keep in mind for the next project. Good luck! :)

The story and dialogue aren't bad, and the animation is pretty good. But for the most part, your choice of music was horribly dissonant to what was going on in the video.
I think the music selection was pretty good, actually. Try taking the music into account for the feeling of the scene -- like when Gourmet Race plays (the song before the credits), it seems to me like Derpy is accepting a challenge or "fighting destiny" rather than actually being sad.

The 6 ponies: Octavia, Vinyl Scratch, Dr.Whooves, Lyra, Bon bon, and Derpy are just the secondary 6 because Celestia has imprisoned the mane 6 as she wants to bring about eternal night (who knows why?) and derpy and dr.whooves child Dinky Whooves goes to see celestia and works out the 6 ponies listed above are the secondary 6.
The story is totally fine to me and mostly everyone in the comments. Maybe you just lack or skipped some of the boring important parts of this awesome animation.
Does this not show how awesome this fandom is? A character created by mistake got millions of people to accept and get others to accept disabilities. Not to mention how we wanted to see more out this character so much, she got a speaking role on the show. I'd love to say Derpy changed my life and that I'm more accepting, but I already was. This is actually an ORIGINAL series of adventuress about two Japanese children known as Lenny & Rini Kagamine, who were taken into Equestria after the earthquake and tsunami in Japan 2 years ago in March 2011. This series takes place right after the season 3 finale so anything revolving around Equestria Girls AND season 4 is STRICTLY NONCANON. It's amazing what can come from a simple animation error. Stories, wars/arguments, even hope from a mistake or accident. We must remember the importance of these kinds of things.

This series takes place right after the season 3 finale so anything revolving around Equestria Girls AND season 4 is STRICTLY NONCANON.
We're mainly doing this for our enjoyment and entertainment purposes and NOT for money.
The project went off with a bang with the first episode released, but we'll need your help to continue making it a reality.
If you really want to help up, you can join our group called #Railway-Twins and help by either coming up with story ideas and your own plots and transcripts following those stories, music ideas for the episodes, voice acting and creating storyboards depicting the episodes.
This is a huge project we're dealing with right now and it can be made possible once again if YOU are WILLING to help.

I have esotropia, a form of strabismus. My eyes point towards my nose, and I can't see with both of my eyes at the same time, so if you see one of my eyes point towards my nose, that means that I am not using that eye.

Wow this is animated really well! I really like it. It was a little difficult to hear the voice actor sometimes because the background music was loud but great job.
It's amazing what can come from a simple animation error. Stories, wars/arguments, even hope from a mistake or accident. We must remember the importance of these kinds of things.
twilight sparkle was an alicorn in the part she is givin the letter from derpy. that would have to be almost impossible seeing this was realesed in 2013
