And I am going to work on getting those made and uploaded somewhere where you can download a pdf instead of doing the tabs via text. They are so hard to read like that. And I don't know about you guys, but I've never liked text-written tabs. So I'm gonna try to make the real deal on Guitar Pro or something. It's for real super easy to play, but I know it's satisfying to see exactly what is going on on the ol' fretboard. I have always been obsessed with knowing the exact voicings of chords and whatnot, so I totally get it. Punk pop is pretty much the same thing as what The Beach Boys did on their early albums, minus the harmonies and with less-corny lyrics.

Nah, the original has some of the most unique guitar sound ever-strikes a nice early rock/ surf rock vibe that has its own kind of heavy without using distortion.
Brian Wilson's vocals on the original are what make it great for me.
At their iconic Knebworth 1980 show, they managed to get the classic line up on stage together for the first time in years, because of all the feuding and personal issues, Mike, all three Wilson Brothers, and Al, they knew they had to answer their critics who'd written them off as irrelevant in that era and they did a version of this that was fast, frantic and urgent, re imagined as a heavier, rockier sound than the poppy 1965 original, this reminds me of that performance!
Beach Boys, irrelevant???? Damn, the beach Boys are a timeless piece of history. There will never be another!

I have to say this is one of your best Beach Boys cover work at its best. I love this song so much I would play it all the time and also on TH-cam I would play the song at the playback speed of 1.1 and it has that summer vibe. the live version of Roller Skating Child is a bit faster.....though a punk version would have to be sped up a bit more than that.....interesting to see what you could do with it.....

This is ok. But the Beach Boys did a better hard rock version of this at Knebworth Festival 1980 with Dennis Wilson killing it on the drums. They also gave "Barbara Ann" the same treatment.
