I grew up dancing to this, I know all the different moves! But when you gotta put them all in a line dance, it seemed so hard. 😮😅

We used to do line dances at the big gay discos in Chicago, in the 70’s - 1980 or so........ what a great, and fun time!

We used to dance all night until 5 am Sunday morning, when the bars closed, then go to breakfast at the Oak Tree, or the Little Corporal, on Wacker Drive and State St.
The big Dance clubs were: the Bistro at Dearborn & Hubbard, Broadway Sams at Clark & Foster, Broadway Limited on Broadway & Barry, Paradise on Broadway & Surf St. LePub at Clark & Armitage, and of course The BBC on Rush St!

Hi Peter! In this video Dawn does run through it the second time facing away from the camera, exactly as you suggest! The first time she runs through it facing the camera, but to make it clear and easy for the student, she does it with the opposite foot, so from the student's perspective it's like you're looking in the mirror! Isn't that amazing that Dawn can dance and teach the routine forward and backwards, with both sides?!?! The advantage of this is then the students can see the foot and leg articulation, styling, body, and arm styling!

Sure looks like a slightly different version of the original Hustle! I love it! That's the dance that was out when i started dancing in '77/'78!! Woohoo!

We did this in a pageant i was in back then and I've never forgotten it! Instead of calling it "seat belt" i always just said "up and over up and over"....hey made it simple for me☺
