Exploring Indigenous Heritage, Culture and Family

For Indigenous Peoples’ Heritage Month, Walden University alumni share their stories of heritage, culture and family. Dr. Marie Natrall ’19, who is Canadian First Nations, Squamish and Northern Tutchone, and Dr. Jerry Gibson ’19, who is mostly Blackfoot Indian, share what they would like others to know about their indigenous heritage and the issues facing their communities. They also highlight the impact their culture and families have had on them and more broadly in North America.
