This brings back my childhood memory. Brought up in kanyariri Uthiru was the closest big town we used to ran for anything. But you missed a very important shopping center which is part of Uthiru called ndumbuini. It is just five minutes from Uthiru shopping center. The Nairobi university agricultural institute is located there. You missed a lot of Uthiru but thank you for the part you showed.
Not so much has changed in this area.... So nostalgic... I went to kabete vet lab primary that's around 20yrs ago.... I remember I used to go to some church around the area it was called umbrella I guess
0:57 where you just started check next to the bridge the blue Mabati structures beside the yellow moving minibus thats am area about 1 acre occupied by multiple churches
Uthiru is such a nice peaceful neighborhood with a good living standard with a minimal human congestion. If you want a peaceful quiet living,Uthiru is the right choice
WOW I'M VERY EXCITED TO LEARN ABOUT UTHIRU, BY THE WAY IS THE BORDER DERMACATING NAIROBI AND CENTRAL REGIONS AT KABETE POLICE STATION NEAR THE KABETE NATIONAL POLYTECHNIC?
If you know the place, the road that extends from the small roundabout near the Shopping center to the other side of the highway (Ndumbui-ini side) is the border
I wish you could show us the premises which had the East African Breweries distributor. O-the-ro or Eni has grown a lot, however their was time insecurity was very rampant to a point many businesses closed shop and yet Kabete Police station is just nearby.
Did you firget Ahiti college just opposite Kabete polytechnic, and what about Nairobi University Kabete campus 1 kilometers from the bridge and the vertinary labs kabete
Actually, the tarmac on the entrance to the shopping centre, is about 5 years old- all the way to the post office. But it's built on top of older asphalt, older than 30 years.
@@Villagetotowntv yes, it's relatively new. Hapo chini ya hospital it's a combination of poor workmanship, poor drainage- and the recent floods have not helped. The older tarmac must have been there for at least 40 years. Maybe you can come back one day and I can introduce you to a local historian who could add to the commentary.
This area is cosmopolitan and actually in dagoretti north, Nairobi, the statistics might be wrong, because tenants are more than the natives, and new people keep on coming, now I can see you're nearing my village, waithaka,in dago south, welcome, you're get me there we can share kichwa mbuzi na soup 🎉🎉
I was brought up here. Very friendly owners. Back then it was mostly farms up to 1980s😊

Supu tungengekunywa mkuu but nishapitia tayari. Thank you
Ilikuwa karibu sana na Kanyariri. A dead wealthy village where all citizens immigrated to diaspora.
That's my hood.
Its a beautiful place
