the realG but he is tho. He brought home 4 gold medals at the U20 pan american games. He’s dominating in college already. With this extra year of training till the Olympic trials there’s no telling how much faster he’ll be by then with how much determination he has. He’s gonna do great things
@@jjabrams8314 lol he isn't . If you want to argue get your facts straight and he isn't dominating in college wtf are you talking about . First of schwartz, trentavis and jeff demps, chris taylor, yoshide kiryu have faster high school times(theres plenty more). Matts official time is 10.11 . The 9.98 is illegal. Yh as you said he is in college now so needs to work harder . There are people around his age with faster times. He already ran a slower time in his college debut. As you said with an extra year theres no telling . That doesn't equal him dominating. Many athletes get slower in college especially the ones that peak too early
the realG he’s not peaking too early, he’s just getting started. And yea, there are guys with faster times but he’s also still only a freshman and some of them aren’t. He’s proven himself on a world platform already with the pan american games, he won 2 individual golds and 2 relay golds that are both U20 world records now. And yea you can argue that he had help cause it’s a relay, and yea that’s true but he’s still a big reason that they set those WR’s. I’m not saying your points are wrong, but I think you’re counting him out too early, the way he works he’s gonna be GREAT. I really think we’re gonna see him at the olympics next year. But you have your opinions and I have mine
@@jjabrams8314 no youre getting me wrong i said he won't dominate since there are better athletes and other athletes had faster times at his age. Then the slightly slower ones keep improving . He has done well yes but if its him vs chris taylor then chris tyalor will dominate
Two promising athletes, however in the history of Jamaican Track and Field only a few athletes who did well in high school and move away from the Island to train with foreign coaches did well at the professional level.Check the History.
I mean you can also probably say the same about Jamaican athletes that stayed on the island and continued training with their current coaches. Very few athletes regardless do well at the professional level. Just because you have the Bolts and Blakes doesn't mean there wasn't lots of people that didn't succeed.
@@Madskillzkid That's true but the ones that stayed were not the best. Most of the best athletes were recruited by college coaches in the USA and a few in Canada. Most did well in the NCAA but not at the Olympic level. Most had taken half scholarships and have to work, train and go to school and that affected their performances.
@@Madskillzkid The ratio tho is very much not equal. Athletes who train in Jamaica dominates the ones that train overseas. And Blake and Bolt aren't the only two great athletes the land of sprinters has. Its all on the net you can do your research.
Rayon Williams why should someone else do research to prove YOUR point? By the numbers athletes who were based overseas have been more successful. Merlene, Grace, Veronica, Dion, Donald, William, Raymond, Michael, Omar, etc. were all based overseas. Some athletes need to go overseas (college) because they aren’t ready to be professionals. Statistically very few junior athletes regardless of where they train or where they’re from actually succeed at the next level. There are less than 10 junior athlete who won a world junior championship gold who have won an Olympic gold medal.
@@Hengel_Andrews Daniel England,Roy Bailey,Rudolph Mighty,Wayne Fenton,Nicole Mitchel,Peta Gay Dowdie,The Dawkins Twin ,Dane Edwards,Daniel Browning,Edward Clarke,Allie Watson, Jaseil Gayle,Tulia Robinson just to name a few, these were quality athletes at the youth level who got scholarships and all vanished.
Considering that Noah Lyles and Christian Coleman aren’t that much older than both of them, I don’t see them being “kings of sprinting” but I do hope that they continue to get better
I can't determine that yet but Taylor has a better form that is gonna stand out in the future while Matt on the other side I think that he is not going to able to ran anything below 9.86
I believe both will do well, l do think that Taylor being in Florida is a good thing. It will keep him away from all the hype that's been around him, as for boling l think he will do well but the publicity he gets is to much for a young sprinter. He needs more protection from that, because we all know that just because your a good junior doesn't mean your going to do well as a older athlete.
It's all about Matt's start that will determine how fast his 100m can get. He's got tremendous 40m+ ability but that block and initial drive phase stuff are what make me think his best two races will be 200/400.Having said that I'm glad he's not shying away from the super short stuff because although he's overmatched that stuff will only make his long sprint really formidable.I must also admit it freaks me out a bit seeing a white guy that fast .I didn't know it was possible for us white men's fast twitch fibers to work that way.
@@TheoOJamaloO1 Yes I did know about Lemaittre but I think Matt's still under twenty and here in the USA I'll hazard a guess that his 9.98 100m last year although above legal wind(same conditions faced by every other blazing runner he smoked in that race) was the fastest time ever recorded by a white male his age and probably among the fastest of any white man ever recorded at any age in the USA 100m.That's pretty cool because it proves it's not impossible for white guys to sprint. And just like they said Barak Obama was progress Matt is progress. I actually want Matt to keep competing at these shorter races because under 100...then the 100,200 and up to the 400m. Even if he gets whipped at the shorter explosive sprints I think it goes into his abilities bank account and stretches it.
@@johnleander1015 that's okay Boling ran a 44.74 400m split...BUT he also ran that *9.98 plus he also long jumped over 26 feet which I would hazard a guess that Lemaitre never equaled let alone tried to do all that and I think Matt did all that by 18.Boling just began running the 100m in his senior year at Strake Jesuit in Texas.
If only these two are the contestant than sure one of them will win but there will be other opponents who will race against both of them may be they both will loose who knows or may be one of them will win. Only time will tell ...
Well I'm assuming with the right amount of training he'll be back to that 10.2 or even faster but the long injury lay off means he has a lot of work to do
This would have been an awesome video hadn’t he used Ohara as a scapegoat. He is making progress in the hurdles. You all were doing the same with Bolt and look how that changed. You all need to stop. I wish both the best. They’re both awesome in their own right.
@@prestonmatthews725 they are probably right... athletes have injuries yes...but they run in small meets to regain fitness...not competing for about 3 years shows lack of focus...I really don't take him seriously....Bolt was right about him
That is crazy talk right there. Matt only BEGAN running it last year and has on record blasted the best of Jamaica (ask Oblique). So, no I don't see Taylor having a realistic chance.
Cooper was an absolute freak during his early high school years, but has stalled out in the recent couple of years. I'd love to see him make a big comeback.
If I was a betting man I’d say neither will make it all the way. There’s so many ‘ next big thing ‘ in many sports. Very few of them ever make it. Look at Ade Mafe for example. He made the Olympic 200m final in 1984 aged 17. He didn’t really kick on from there. Football has had so many great young talents who play a couple of games, score a couple of goals then fall away.
Both these cats are great but you are ignoring cats like Justin Robinson who at 16/17 ran a under 45 in the 400. There is a lot of young talent out there and Chris was injured but took a long time to get a sub 45 when you have a kid run sub 45 as Jr in HS .. So he is my favorite to have an opportunity to surpass both of them but you never know who else may mature and be that guy.. Matt wasnt even the fastest Freshman in his conference in indoor track to show you the talent that is out there
@@TrackandFieldNation yes for a HS Jr to run 44.84 and then win the Jr Pan American games with a 44.05 and run a 43 split on a relay .. This kid has a lot of potential for a person not running in a warm weather region. Could you imagine him going to school in FL, Texas or So Cal. That would be interesting. The Kid I would love to see get his life together and get back on track is Tyrese Cooper.. If his coach didnt show so much pride the right thing for him to do was get him a scholarship to IMG Academy. You are trying to protect a kid with so much potential in a bad area where the good kids are struggling not to commit crimes on a daily basis... I asked Noah Lyle's about him and he said he barely knew the kid mentor him which means his coach had him isolated. Dude stop trying to be the hood guru and let these kids take advantage of their talent to build a future. Yes he has a unique way or training but the goal is not to prove your training method its to get them out of the disadvantage they are in.. I wish success on the next kid he has coming up Mekhi Gammons who ran 47.86 at 13 last years old.. If the kid is in a broken home make sure you put him in the best situation it he is not make sure he is making good life choices.. Otherwise put him some place to be successful and introduce these kids to people who can be inspirational mentors.. Sorry I just feel so many kids lose opportunities from adults trying to prove something .. The guy is a great coach but needs to start letting the kids meet and be mentored by other people.
@Throngdorr Mighty Van Niekerk has been MIA for 2 seasons and isn't even the 400 king. The Sprint king typically refers to the 100/200; he has never dominated those events and likely never will. He needs to focus on being competitive again in the 400m
It's really weird not one comment is ever made in any of these Matt Boling TH-cam videos that he's the first white runner in decades to place first in these sprinting events. After all.....we're often presented with the 'first woman' or 'the first black' achievement in all sorts of things. Are they afraid to be called racist or something?

I honestly think they will looking to push each other
They run different races, what are you comparing? Also, you totally ignored Justin Robinson who is yet to work on his speed
Why is no one talking about Justin?
Where are they now?... And how old are they?
They are just 20 years old now.one just became a freshman in college meanwhile the other is a pro under puma
@@TrackandFieldNation Oh great!
Matthew is a double threat in any two distances he selects. I hope he concentrates on the 100 which is the premier event now!
He won’t dominate . He was fast in high school but not the fastest at that age
the realG but he is tho.
It doesn't mean he will just go downhill from here on but it seems like a huge amount of sprinters who ran fast in high school just stay around same speed .
23 is a lot older than 20 in track
I can't determine that yet but Taylor has a better form that is gonna stand out in the future while Matt on the other side I think that he is not going to able to ran anything below 9.86
Didn't boling lose to an fsu sprinter in the 60
I believe both will do well, l do think that Taylor being in Florida is a good thing. It will keep him away from all the hype that's been around him, as for boling l think he will do well but the publicity he gets is to much for a young sprinter. He needs more protection from that, because we all know that just because your a good junior doesn't mean your going to do well as a older athlete.
too much
Why are they even comparing these 2? They'll be competing in different events at senior level with Taylor mainly hitting the 400.
Future King of sprinting is Me.
One day you’ll see me:) 🇬🇧
@@akorn5800 Oh ! Thats nice. I hope to see you.
Thats the way to think. All the best!!
@@trackman411 Thanks
@@jakaikuki9788 👍👍
I am with Taylor. He went to my high school.
chris is not a normal runner, chris for me and big up on another banger video
Thank you, and you're right Taylor is far from normal.
Only time will tell... :-)
You must not know Christophe Lemaitre from France then. Fastest white guy in history.
Paul toy a very few does ok
Just for the record. Lemaitre ran a 10,04 with practically no wind when he was 19.
Are the two mutually exclusive? Can't they both be the future of USA T&F?
Only one is from USA lol...
@@KoolKaiser Well, that would certainly prohibit it. lol
It will be insane zolt from a small town in jamaica who emerges at the 2024 olympics out of nowhere
Taylor without a doubt is more talented
If only these two are the contestant than sure one of them will win but there will be other opponents who will race against both of them may be they both will loose who knows or may be one of them will win. Only time will tell ...
Boling is a better 100m runner Christopher Taylor is a better 400m runner
They have the same pr over the 100m
Boling. Has incredible raw speed, power (check out his long jump skills), AND strength coming down from the 400m. Bet he can kill it in the 800m too.
No he isn't a 800 guy
Sachim Dennis ran 10.18 and he was 15 years old. He Injured himself a few years ago and now he runs 10.4 as an 18 year old
That's impressive given the fact he inly started training only a month before he ran that 10.4
@@TrackandFieldNation yeah, im really curious about how fast he runs now
Well I'm assuming with the right amount of training he'll be back to that 10.2 or even faster but the long injury lay off means he has a lot of work to do
@@TrackandFieldNation yeah definitely
It's channels like this that contribute to the overhyping of high school prospects like these guys.
Porque no los dos?
Think everyone forgetting about my boy Trayvon Bromell
Yall still forgetting the jamaican teenagers🤣🤣🤣🤣
yeah lol they missed that part.
Yep
Uh, because there are none at that level.
Nobody forgets jamaican sprinters. Everyone forgets Bolin was faster as a high schooler than Bolt.
Why am i getting no replies regarding jamaican teen sprinters? Hello? Bolin is way faster than Bolt at the same age.
This would have been an awesome video hadn’t he used Ohara as a scapegoat. He is making progress in the hurdles. You all were doing the same with Bolt and look how that changed. You all need to stop. I wish both the best. They’re both awesome in their own right.
I really don't think O'Hara is even training right now....
@@ladyk5019 he is. He switched to the 110hurdles but people are saying that he is distracted.
@@prestonmatthews725 they are probably right... athletes have injuries yes...but they run in small meets to regain fitness...not competing for about 3 years shows lack of focus...I really don't take him seriously....Bolt was right about him
One of the big secrets to owinning 100 m is the first 50 m.
Tha should call you white lightning Matt
This is what was in my head for the past few days....
1:33 "April 19, 2009" ???
Hopefully they'll push each other to new heights in track in field
Steve Lewis' 30 years old 43.87 world junior men's record for 400m ... both have a LONG way to go to get that
Christopher Cubby Taylor all the way. I don’t see Matthew beating him in a 200m race once he is fit
That is crazy talk right there. Matt only BEGAN running it last year and has on record blasted the best of Jamaica (ask Oblique). So, no I don't see Taylor having a realistic chance.
It’s crazy no Jamaican athletes that go to train in the USA could ever beat a USA athlete..so Christopher Taylor career is about over
Is it me or does Boling look like one of those Greek mythical running statues with wings on their feet ?
God bless you all , he had a plan 🙏
Tyrese cooper with a huge comeback
Cooper was an absolute freak during his early high school years, but has stalled out in the recent couple of years. I'd love to see him make a big comeback.
PongGod to my knowledge he’s battled a few injuries. Hopefully he’s taking this time to get his body right.
Boling walks people down like no other.
Grant Holloway
Matt wasnt even the fastest Freshman in his conference in indoor track to show you the talent that is out there
Actually never forgot about him, he's the most promising male sprinter right now.
A fast white dude. I don't know how to handle that yet xD
Levitra I think that's his name from France... That's a white dude that's fast....
The next king of sprinting is Noah Lyles.
@Throngdorr Mighty Van Niekerk has been MIA for 2 seasons and isn't even the 400 king. The Sprint king typically refers to the 100/200; he has never dominated those events and likely never will. He needs to focus on being competitive again in the 400m
@ Throngdorr Mighty - He was injured. While playing either football (soccer), or rugby.
TALKING ABOUT RUNNING! AS A SOUL BROTHER ! I BEEN RUNNING MY WHOLE LIFE ! 2 21.
How could u say he set the world record in 4x4 what about Justin Robinson 43.7 split
His time is actually 9.98 not 9.97
It's actually above 10 secs because of the 4.2mph illegal wind.
His best legal time is 10.11
Man sure gonna be entertaining to see these two coming up do need the Americans to take back sprinting we fell off a bit
First white to come 1st in what? Blacks weren't allowed to run once upon a time so what exactly did he come 1st in that no other white has?
@@KoolKaiser reread my post for your answer.
And why don't see you cheering Matt's achievement? Blacks have dominated spirting for many decades.
Matt deserves to be acknowledged........only people who hate white people won't show him some love.
Michael Norman is better than both of them.
i mean unless coleman and lyles randomly disappear, Boling isnt gonna do anything anytime soon, unless he shows a massive amount of improvement. 10.11 is nothing when we are talking about olympic caliber sprinters. hes got a long ways to go to be the future king.
These TH-cam channels barley ever look at people from smaller countries. Eddie Osei Nketia is a year younger than Bolling and ran next to Justin Gatlin at world champs last year. There are also some crazy fast Australians and South Africans under 20. Not to mention Lalu Muhammed from Indonesia who is actually faster than Bolling with a legal PB of 10.03.
0:39 that is bizarre those legs dont look like what they are he does not have a really fast strong looking body and he has low calf extensions. What a freak
3 years later..the answer is neither. 🤣
Erriyon Khnighton is the future king of sprinting.
The Jamaicans raved about Taylor trying to rival Michael Norman what happened to that ?! Now you guys compare him to a Boling? Come on now.
You guys? Isn't an American who's doing the comparison?
The guy commentating this sounds just like another channel I watch called L.R. Shion
The next King of sprinting? It's a little early for that debate. In the 400m Justin Robinson enters here. USA is loaded with talent right now. Coleman. Lyles. Norman (assuming healthy).
Ronnie Baker
Kerley
@@sandyacombs I thought a lot of Ronnie. You really need the right coach and the right kind of life to succeed in track. Not sure where he is right now but he didn't make the 4x1 in Doha.
@@truth8508 I think Ronnie was hurt in 2019, he ran 2020 indoor and ran well, 60m 6.44, I think he'll be ready this year. He beat Coleman often in 2018 and could be a real force in the Olympics.
Hopefully they mature as sprinters stay injury free and push each other to new heights!
Neither but would love to see Boling transition to decathlete.
Boling ran wind aided 9.98 not 9.97 lol.
