I signed for an A45s yesterday but wanted to drive an M2 Competition just to compare the 2. The M2 Competition bored me. It is just another fast BMW. No different to anything else BMW produced for the last 20 years. The Merc left me with a broad smile on my face. The BMW M2 just left me feeling like I drove another fast BMW. A45s for me. Can't wait for delivery 😍 🙌🏼
Great video again. Refreshing to see without the spoilers etc, aero kit is a way to make a 60k car look chavvy. This looks classy, which it needs to at that price tag. Silver wheels and badges are good too. Was going to ask how the gear shifts were, usually a slight weakness of Mercs. What do you reckon the 0-100mph would be?!
I won my AMG A45 in 2015 with BOTB ... By far the best car i have ever owned and at 398.4 bhp Stock, she was quicker than my E92 M3 too ... i still personality prefer to have the Aerodynamic Package on them ... just looks like a normal A Class otherwise ... apart from afew touches but the AP makes it look so much meaner ... epic car though 🤘🙌🍻🏴

That's just insane and like you said 50k is alot but it's far more than just a hot hatch. Great review as always and I agree much better without the aero kit, only thing I would change is the exhaust because from behind you can see the real 2 exhaust tips behind the 4 fake ones

People have been getting 500hp out of 2.0t's for ages now. Ever since VW started putting these in GTI's... They are bullet proof. Also - I have a 2007 S2000 which has a 2.2L engine. I'm getting 427WHP out of it which is over 500 BHP. It's been super reliable for years too...
While I think this car is, in every way, a magnificent piece of kit, the performance potential of the tuned 2.0 liter gives me hope as to what the new Lotus Emira with that same engine will be capable of.
@@louisriddle4326 I ended up buying a race chip gts black series tuning box from Germany I've not fitted it yet. Thought this was best option with still wanting to keep warranty. Let you know once it's fitted I've had the box 3 months not had the time to get it fitted yet an the car is still too fast stock lol

*I have a W247 B200CDi AMG with all the tricks and more interested in MPG than MPH and have achieved 85.6 MPG (over 106 miles) and over 146 mph [although admittedly not at the same time] on an Autobahn near Munich.*
Had a MY2016 of the 45, fast but felt like it was thrown together. The new model looks a much better build quality. However here in Ireland it’s gone from €60k base to €85k base. A few options and you’re near €100k, just can’t justify that for a car the size of a A45S/CLA45S
What a machine. Just bought my partner an AMG A35 - and that is frightening enough. I could not even her with another 200 hp!!!! They are awesome these A series AMGs. Very quick.

It wasn’t that long ago that the Sierra Cosworth RS500 race car made 500bhp from 2.0 litre was considered insane. This is a family road going daily driveable hatchback.
Shame they sound so dull because of new rules my old a45 decat sounds crazy. Cant wait to see what remus come up with for this a45s and we hear its true sound
