    Escaton gave you the keys after solving the riddles, because he wanted you to succeed. He knew that the kreegans are not longer on the planet, but as a machine built by the ancients he had to follow their orders and couldn't end it himself. So he hinted you to the right direction to stop the cataclysm.
    Thanks for the LP, I love the Might & Magic games up to part 8. Such a fun series.

      that's exactly right. He gives you the keys for completing his riddles, but his riddle answers are also hints for where to use the keys: "prison inside egg". He can't stop his own programming, but he has true artificial intelligence and he wants you to succeed

    Yes, I started this video twice - so you have to hear me repeat myself a bunch, sorry! The chapters are there for that purpose.

    Thanks for playing Might and Magic VIII! I enjoyed following along your adventure.
    I mentioned it last time, but Might and Magic IX is always there, if only to see how the original series ended.
    You could also combine your oldschool focus and Bioware RPG inclination and try the original Baldur's Gate (1&2 are my favorite games of all time, so I'm a little biased).

      I've tried BG 1&2 before, and couldn't get into it. In general, D&D style games haven't really gripped me, despite many years of trying! I can usually do 5ish hours before I move on.....

      @psychemode Oh, that's too bad =(
      I wonder what the difference is between that and Might and Magic (party-based fantasy RPG) or KotOR (DnD 3e with a Star Wars cost of paint).
      Either way, I'll look forward to whatever you choose.

    Of course you finish the series right after I get caught up on all the videos lol.
    Nicely done! I found this game to be very compelling, despite it being shorter and obviously more rushed through production than the previous installments. It has a certain charm that even MM6 and MM7 lacked, and I quite enjoyed playing through it for the first time.
    As for future videos, you could consider modded Might and Magic, like you said. The most popular mod out there is the Merge mod, which stitches together MM6, MM7, and MM8 within MM8's engine. You can also try the newly released Amber Island mod that you mentioned in a previous video; I just finished that one and found it to be of stellar quality.
    If you're looking for something totally different though, you may want to consider the Infinity Engine games from around this time: Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, Neverwinter Nights, and Planescape: Torment. They are all different from each other and I quite enjoyed all of them (except for Neverwinter Nights, which didn't click with me), and the titles have been rereleased as "Enhanced Editions" which, among other QOL improvements, allow them to run on modern systems with no difficulty.
    Regardless, glad you enjoyed MM8! Well done! Looking forward to seeing what you do next.

    I would like to recommend that you play Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind next. A game that was released for PC on May 1, 2002, in North America and May 2, 2002, in Europe. You might like it. You get skill points by actually using the skill. Big game, many hours of RPG fun and excitement.

      Late to reply - but already played Morrowind a bunch! Never completed it, but I've definitely invested 50+ hours into the game....can't seem to wrap up the main story ever, though.

    Thank you! It was, as always, a pleasure to watch you play!
    Of course, I will wait for Opposition Force, but in the meantime it would be good, in addition to your regular content, see you play some FPS (especially old ones!) or strategy (RTS or turn-based). Homeworld / X-Com / or anything else :D

      @psychemode  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I was (still am!) tempted to dive into more old-school FPS games! Strategy isn't my strong suit, though. I doubt anyone could handle watching me attempt RTS games lol

      @@psychemode Still you might want to try Homeworld, even if just for yourself and not for the channel - it has amazing storyline and visuals and it is quite slow paced - it's not Starcraft :) I'd say it's one of the more relaxed RTS out there :)
      And, of course, Heroes of Might and Magic, if you haven't played it (but probably you have) :)

    Have you heard of the World of Enroth mod (aka Merge mod)? It is a mod that combines all three games.

      Yes, I've heard of it! Interesting concept!

    Oh, and I don't know if you have played the MM6, but you can try The Chaos Conspiracy mod, it's absolutely great! And, of course, please play any older M&M game :)
