The Bucks to me are the rare team that recently changed their logo and saw a dramatic increase in quality.
Chicago Bulls still the best in terms of longevity.
Pistons's logo form 1996 to 2005 is so cool
bulls logo is on another level... not too realistic, but not too cartoonish. not too detailed, but not too simplistic either. compared to some of the other logos from 1960s it was way ahead of its time and still looks good today. there were other iconic logos, but they dont age well and get updated after 10 or 15 years to look more modern or just to sell more team gear.
Charlotte 89/02, Seatle 76/95 and Spurs 89/02 are so iconics

SO dope! The Heat & The Magic are the only one that got worse. Dope to see so many go back to icon older logos. Lakers showing you don't need to change it barely at all. That 2000 - 2010 era was overkill on many of those. Great vid!! The new minimalist "patch" style logos nowadays are excellent.

Honestly, a lot of the logos got stupidly simpler and simpler getting closer to the present. I mean that in a bad way.

Some real classic logos in the group.
It seems like a lot of the teams now are favoring a logo that resembles a soccer jersey patch. Generally speaking, the designs are going from more artistic and with more realistic animals to more simple or abstract animals (albeit less cartoonish). More of a business man's approach to logos. The Heat's original logo is definitely on fire and I like that the entire ball is in flames. It should've never been changed because it would look just as modern today.
Teams went from cartoony to edgy at the turn of the century.

You did the Phoenix Suns dirty with this list. How could you leave out the iconic rising Phoenix firebird logo that Steve Nash and company wore from 2003 to 2010?

I like how some teams revert to older logos, or different versions of an older logo. It's like they realized they made a mistake when they made the decision to drastically change their logo.
My favorite are my hometown bulls but I also like the original Magic logo, 90s raptors, 90s grizzlies, late 90s pistons, late 90s rockets, 00s warriors, later 90s T wolves, 90s Spurs, 90s Pacers, 90s Bucks, 00s Nuggets, 00s 76ers, 90s Suns, current Kings, late 90s Jazz, 90s Hornets (and current hornets), 70s-90s Hawks (and late 90s Hawks), 70s-90s (and late 90s) Sonics, 1994 Knicks.
I think my top 5 would be
1. Bulls
2. 90s Suns
3. 90s Spurs
4. 90s Raptors
5. 90s Magic.
(honorable mentions/6-10: Late 90s Sonics, late 90s Rockets, 70s-90s Hawks, late 90s T Wolves and 90s Hornets)

@@oofoof-dx5pxI think the OP meant changing names from an area *very* well known for the 5 Great Lakes (Minneapolis Lakers) and from an area where jazz music was *super* popular (New Orleans Jazz) -- to becoming the Los Angeles Lakers (that one I can kind of understand since we are talking about bodies of water) and the Utah Jazz (Utah is decidedly *not* well known for any jazz scene)
The lakers didnt change because its already 5 titles before move to L.A.

@@bartekmus European logo’s aren’t simplified. The old logo’s played more towards the nicknames in the name. Europe doesn’t do that.
@@raheem201231 I did not write that the European ones have been simplified, i said the American ones are getting simpler and starting to look like European ones. and by the way, the European ones are also simplifying. look at the Juventus football club logo, the biggest one in Italy.
