As much as I truly hate the Cardinals, I'll give them credit on having a simple and solid logo and building a great franchise.
They do deserve the credit they get year in and year out.

I enjoy how in the video you can see they are one of the few teams to have remains of their original logo still incorporated into their modern uniforms. The iconic StL stays with them in a form to this day.

To be fair, the Baltimore Ravens are technically named after Edgar Allan Poe's book "The Raven"

I have to say this was a cool look back. In the 70's I used to collect MLB, NFL, NBA, and NHL team magnets. You could get a standings board and keep track of the league, or have your own set up. They were fun. Most of the ones I had were as I said 70's and some early 80's. I LOVED the Seattle Mariners 1981-86, the M inside the Star. I wish they'd go back to that. I am glad some teams ARE going retro again. The Brewers are going back to the MB ball and glove from 78-93. The Orioles are back to their retro logo and colors. I love the option in MLB the Show to use old retro uniforms too. It just reminds us that our teams have travelled a LONG way.
Now the NFL is going funky with colors and looks. But some classic teams like the Packers, Cowboys, Bears, and Vikings stick to what has worked. Subtle variations but noting crazy like some teams have done. NBA jerseys are too small to really make a HUGE difference but I like the retro looks of those too. As for the NHL, they have some AWESOME older uniforms AND teams that have moved. Again another retro look I enjoy.

Fun Fact: At 21:25 Phillies logo has 2 kids in colonial uniforms. This is Phil and Phyllis. When Veterans Stadium first opened in 1971, there used to be a Liberty Bell on the 400 level façade in center field with Phil and Phyllis on either side holding baseball bats and whenever a Phillie hit a home run they would simulate hitting the bell. Those figures are still around. They're now at a park called Storybook Land in Egg Harbor Township, NJ(Black Horse Pike South heading toward Atlantic City).

I lived in Milwaukee and I didnt know the Orioles started as the Milwaukee Brewers in 1901....NUTS. As for the Brewers the 1978 logo, the M and B glove and ball have to be my favorite logo. Bambi's Bombers, Harvey's Wallbangers. Robin Yount, Paul Molitor, Gorman Thomas, Cecil Cooper, Ben Oglive, Jim Gantner, Charlie Moore, and my all time FAVORITE...MIKE CALDWELL. He gave me his game hat from thd 1978 season. The Home version. He was awesome. I was 10 years old and he made my life that day.

@@Karmy. True, I could see that. However, the 2008 Detroit *Lions* didn't ditch their logo when they went 0-16. Then again, that one's much more iconic than that specific Tigers one.

It's like most teams went from having simple logos sometimes with just a single letter from having an overdrawn silly mascot in the mid 1900s then back to a more simpler style at the turn of the century.

Whoever made this video, it's a neat video for those of us who love nostalgia. So cheers. But when it comes to the Giants, you were close, except, not really.
First, the New York Giants didn't begin playing in 1904 as you posted, and that wasn't their first name either. The ballclub we now know as the San Francisco Giants originated in 1883 and called themselves the New York Gothams. That New York team then started calling themselves the Giants in 1885. So there's that.
I then noticed you state that the Giants started playing in San Francisco in 1968. That is also incorrect, but you're only late by a decade. The Giants moved to San Francisco following the 1957 season and started playing (in San Francisco) 1958.
