Its about the Korean War and would love to see your thoughts on it. Its often said to be the Saving Private Ryan of Korea. Cheers and good luck with all the EMT, Paramedic and S&R stuff! It's been a while since I watched season 1 but I know there were a couple of scenes later on that I was specifically hoping to see your reaction to so I'm glad you're still doing breakdowns for this show!
Guys I love this channel! I am super into military movies and shows (fiction novels too) and I love SF, Operators, etc. Never served myself but thank you guys for your service. You are all so informative and I take so much away from watching these reviews. I watch Lioness and I thought the first two episodes of season 2 were awesome, but I’m not the expert so can you break them down? Keep doing what you are doing, thanks!
Thanks to this I found out season 2 came out! I loved to vibe of season 1, not that I found it realistic but I did enjoy it. I think it's not that we find it real but that, when the hero is thin and seems more vulnerable but is able to overcome that vulnerability and become strong, it's attractive. As for the hand-to-hand combat, I rarely think fights in movies are realistic , especially if it's one person against many or if someone has a knife. Or a size difference.
Hey congratulations on getting you emt, I've been a medic in OKC for the past 4 years working towards my paramedic, but yes season 2 is leaps and bounds over season 1
I don't understand your comment about how they have the husband acting feminine or like the female in the relationship. Bro is a heart surgeon, that not some bitch shit, thats hardcore. Bro is picking his daughter up from school, driving her home, and trying to have a real conversation with er. Thats not feminine, thats grown man shit. Also her being a black girl and not feeling like she can have certain conversations with her white dad is valid. Just like when you're a teenage boy there's certain conversations you don't feel comfortable having with your mom, but would with your dad or uncle. Just my thoughts.
Are SEAL Teams using the SIG MCX Spear LT depicted in season 2? We know the Army adapted the SIG Spear heavy, but how much are the LT(light) versions being utilized in SOCOM.
Welcome back. Towards the end of season 1 its a lot better. But i get what you are saying. Im a paramedic and some of the shows relating to the field make my head hurt. Every call isnt life or death like on tv. We made a person sandwich and a glass of water at 3 o'clock this morning
You can't judge a show based on the first two episodes alone. Don't be lazy. Watch the season, and then do a review. FYI, the second season is killer so far.
I was about to suggest you do Beers and Breakdowns for this show and I'm glad you did. Thank you. Also, that fast-tracked girl (Cruz) didn't go to CAG in Season 1, she signed up in the Marines and became MARSOC. I believe in Season 2, she eventually became CAG, tho I'm not entirely sure. I just assumed 'cause she was wearing OCP and on later episodes the team started talking about colors like blue, green, orange and Cruz mentioned she was in green. If you relate this to the JSOC task forces, CAG/Delta is Task Force Green.
I will say, the chick in season 2 is far more believable than the season 1 girl. The show lost me in season 1 when they were like, “yeah she can anything a man can and better, even though she’s 105 lbs soaking wet. Plus she’s also a Force Recon Marine with multiple EKIAs and can kick any dudes ass.” In season 2, the girl is a helicopter pilot and her background is so much better rather than some supergirl who’s better than all the guys though she acts almost as unprofessional (as an Army officer) as Zoe’s character.
I feel like y'all missed that ep 1 included a timeskip. She'd been a marine for 3y by the time she got picked by Zoe Saldana's character. Probably doesn't change your opinion but felt weird you were harping on how fast it went.
I know this is the Lioness episode but I actually had something to say about the terminal list when Sean was talking about Chris Pratt using his magnifier he actually didn't use his magnifier and most shootouts he flipped it to the side and if you watch closely after the bomb goes off and it doesn't work and he assembles his rifle you'll see him load the mag chain around and he's coming around the corner he'll flip the magnifier to the side so he's actually using just a Red Dot I just thought maybe I know you said it was nitpicking but I just thought maybe if you go back and watch it you'll see
23:10 she also knew Arabic, looked Middle Eastern and already had 2 tours of duty. Trailer for season 2 SAS Rogue Heroes is out! th-cam.com/users/shorts41UJqcPzo48
Lioness is actually a good show. Obviously not all of us are operators so we don’t get to understand what they specifically got wrong here or there. We know it can’t happen like that in real life. But generally in convey8ng the excitement and tension it does a good job. Apart from scenes with the daughter and maybe husband I enjoy every minute of it and I th8nk it’s gonna help with recruitment.
This video says 2 weeks ago but they’re reviewing old episodes. I really enjoyed season 1. Season 2 was for me though. It had me thinking about getting back in. I enjoyed Taylor Sheridans character. I love how they communicated during the mission in the 1st episode of season 2.
So the main thing that is a problem is there is a time skip from the time she joins to the time she is selected for Lioness that isn’t shown. Before she gets selected she already has multiple deployments.
There is a whole, and it is a time-jump that is only referred to in setting and then exposition. I watched it back to see when and how it was indicated, only to find that it wasn't overt enough to fit the pace of the other storylines.
=That doesn't mean anything. They are paid to be there and give advise ,but the people who work with them are free to follow their advice or not. Keep in mind Top gun had Naval/Aviation advisors They still had a bunch of scenes that were far removed from the real world
I would be very curious to find what you guys think about the house raid scenes (one where they raid terrorist cell and one where the operators are being "victims" of robbers). Also the highway shootout scene is pretty cool.
Any chance you guys would breakdown the mini series The Long Road Home? I find it really well made in terms of sets and props, but also heard some nasty controversy about it's authenticity vs the real event.
A few episodes of season 1 were definitely cringe-worthy but the rest were ok-ish. Though season started off with a bang and so far its been awesome. Tactics are improving so is the acting too . Though I'd recommend you breakdown this new series tilted "The Day of the Jackal". Btw, love this breakdown and it's good to have you back dude. You and Abel make a cohesive unit.. Lots of love from Nigeria. Cheers 🍻
Genesis Rodriguez looks more of a Marine than Laysla De Oliveira. Zoe Saldana is a good actress but seeing her tiny frame in tactical gear is comical at times 😅. I get that she’s more of the brain than brawns but they wrote her playing a kind of hybrid role between CIA officer & SAD. Claire Danes’s character in Homeland was more believable.
I had the same reaction to it at first. Turned it off after the first 10 minutes. However took a second look and it's pretty good for a TV show. The cold weather SERE school story was my Basic story in 1986. Grass drills to break the ice off the puddles. What fun.
Yea season 2 is freaking amazing, don’t get me wrong I love season 1 but season 2 is giving us more kit more gear and more action, there’s a shootout in almost every episode so far and I freaking love it. If you like kit and gear and guns and accessories sprinkled with some Drama you will eat it up
I became a paramedic after the Army, when I was in Seattle, and man...I sure had a boss. Lioness is a terrible show, and I am sure they didn't bother to have a military advisor. I work for Dale Dye at Warriors Inc, and I know he would have made that crap so much better. Ugh.
I would like to suggest a TV series called Homeland (2011-2020). It is about the War on "Terror" and I would love to hear your thoughts on it. It is often said to be the American version of the French TV series Le Bureau Des Légendes.
I thought the same when I first watched it but it grows on you, and aside from the fact that its absurd that a woman thats 100lbs soaking wet is going to do anything but get demolished by a 200lb man (especially a trained one), the show actually does get entertaining. You just have to remember its fiction and to enjoy.
Okay so there is a movie called ‘Goon’ and it’s about hockey players…it’s the funniest shit but there’s lots of Team Dynamics in the mix, it would be good to see what Green Berets think of it
Season 1 gets better. it took me several weeks to go back to it after the first episode of season 1. Season 1 gewts better, but season 2...freakin' great so far

I know this is the Lioness episode but I actually had something to say about the terminal list when Sean was talking about Chris Pratt using his magnifier he actually didn't use his magnifier and most shootouts he flipped it to the side and if you watch closely after the bomb goes off and it doesn't work and he assembles his rifle you'll see him load the mag chain around and he's coming around the corner he'll flip the magnifier to the side so he's actually using just a Red Dot I just thought maybe I know you said it was nitpicking but I just thought maybe if you go back and watch it you'll see
Dude…you had me at “mixed kids!” ✊🏿
23:10 she also knew Arabic, looked Middle Eastern and already had 2 tours of duty.
Trailer for season 2 SAS Rogue Heroes is out!

valid point
Anyone who's said that this is the new SEAL Team needs their eyes examined. Nothing will top that show, at least not for awhile
Season 2 says otherwise I'd advise giving it a shot
@@KillMonger592 still not as good as seal team but very entertaining
The unit
bro what 😭 SEAL team is so cringy
@ no it’s realistic the cqb in liones is a joke 😂😂 i couldn’t believe they said you should enter the threshold and point the gun upside down
Lioness is actually a good show.
In the latest episode the husband suddenly finds his spine and takes a stance against Joe's obsession with her work.
Check it out lol.
Welcome back Buck & congrats on all your new accomplishments. Hell yeah.
thank you!
This video says 2 weeks ago but they’re reviewing old episodes. I really enjoyed season 1. Season 2 was for me though. It had me thinking about getting back in. I enjoyed Taylor Sheridans character. I love how they communicated during the mission in the 1st episode of season 2.
Waiting for you and Kurt to break down the final scene in Civil War.
The Marvel movie? That would be sick.
@@rafaelalodio5116 I think this person is talking about the movie that showed the United States going through a second civil war.
So the main thing that is a problem is there is a time skip from the time she joins to the time she is selected for Lioness that isn’t shown. Before she gets selected she already has multiple deployments.
Congrats on certification for EMT and soon Paramedic ! Your devotion to service is truly inspiring thank you for all that you do.
I appreciate that!
There is a whole, and it is a time-jump that is only referred to in setting and then exposition. I watched it back to see when and how it was indicated, only to find that it wasn't overt enough to fit the pace of the other storylines.
I watched the making of lioness and there is a green beret and two navy seals advising on this show....
=That doesn't mean anything. They are paid to be there and give advise ,but the people who work with them are free to follow their advice or not. Keep in mind Top gun had Naval/Aviation advisors They still had a bunch of scenes that were far removed from the real world
The terminal list has the most realistic tactics.
I would be very curious to find what you guys think about the house raid scenes (one where they raid terrorist cell and one where the operators are being "victims" of robbers). Also the highway shootout scene is pretty cool.
What is the name of the show he is talking about?
the next seal team with 8 episodes a season? no shot.
Any chance you guys would breakdown the mini series The Long Road Home? I find it really well made in terms of sets and props, but also heard some nasty controversy about it's authenticity vs the real event.
Eager to see your assessment of the hot scenes. Especially the cartel hostage retrieval with Sheridan at the wheel.
If you don’t mind me asking, what state are you in? And how do you find s&r jobs outside of the fire department?
Season 1 is more drama. It’s really good but Season 2 is the really tactical stuff!!
Dude that Spacedust you are drinking is gonna put you in the buzz zone.
If you like kit and gear and guns and accessories sprinkled with some
Drama you will eat it up
season 2 is WAY better though some of the rank/military shit is complete bullshit.
Honestly love the show it climbed to the top of my list
Glad you came around Buck 😎
Im absloutey loving season 2. It's much better imo 🙌🏻🔥
Saw this coming with the amount of traction the shows been gettin lately lol
Okay so there is a movie called ‘Goon’ and it’s about hockey players…it’s the funniest shit but there’s lots of Team Dynamics in the mix, it would be good to see what Green Berets think of it
I kind of miss the drinking contest between Kurt and Able now 😂
Season 1 gets better. it took me several weeks to go back to it after the first episode of season 1. Season 1 gewts better, but season 2...freakin' great so far
I straight up got humbled on my two trips to SFRE. It’s no joke. If you are going, better have your boots laced up tight.
I think there is one called "Badlands". It'd be dope to cover if you havent already. 🤙🏼
