Helpful vid, thanks. Does Maschine have a way to record notes 'step by step' like in Renoise for example? So without the sequencer playing, you hit one pad and that note is entered, then you hit another pad and that note is entered and so on and so on.
Hi Tom - I'm not familiar with Renoise, so I'm having trouble understanding what exactly you could be referring too. If you reply with a link to a TH-cam video showing this function in Renoise, I could check it out and tell you if it can be done similarly in Maschine
Tip 11 FTW! I'm always struggling to select multiple notes to edit things like length and velocity together, especially when they're not adjacent. Never occurred to me to use Step mode and the pads to select them if they are part of a chromatic sound, so that's a great tip.
Thanks! If you want to clear the whole sequence for one pad (ex: all the kick steps), you can press shift + select + the pad containing the kick. This will highlight them all. Then you can hit shift + clear on the controller. Does this help?
@@MusicMemor I don' t know why Maschine plus doesn't work as audio interfacce when it is used in controller mode ....some body confirmed this behaviour also indicated in the user manual...It is not a good point...
hey nice informative video, with the upcoming update i was looking at maschine again and i'm wondering, can you hold a pad slot then play in the note you want on that slot with another midi controller or add notes one step at a time? im not a fan of live recording or selecting a note with a rotator knob
Brandon, thanks for useful tutorials!) I've known almost all of it except for tip number 7) By the way, I use my Maschin+ only in standalone mode and I have even opened soft on PC May you know the answers to these questions?: In standalonе mode: 1. how to record and process a great voice (how to remove noise, what chain of effects to assemble, and how to configure); 2. how to rewrite macros; 3. is there an option on how to reset any parameter (when you screw it up with knobs and so as not to set your hands to zero, what to do for a long time, but press something so that it is reset); What I remembered and haven’t found the answers yet. Thanks in advance)
Is there a live transpose key in Maschine? So like if you have sequence playing, you can "perform" the sequence by pressing pads to raise or lower the key of the sequence(s)
I think your best bet would be highlighting the notes of the sequence playing in Maschine and using shift + pads 13-16 to transpose the MIDI notes up and down octaves and semitones
Hello. Thanks for the tips. Can I create/move loops in step mode? For instance 32 bar sequence I’d like to loop 4 bar (white block that follows the sequence) and move it along? Something like in traktor
Hi Yury - I'm not sure about changing the loop in step mode, but in Pattern mode, you can edit the start and end points of a pattern using the knobs on the controller. For example, if you have a 32 bar sequence, and want to loop the 4 bars from bars 13-16, you can do that by adjusting the start and end points of the pattern with the loop. You might want to put this loop into its own group so when you make these adjustments to the pattern length, you aren't impacting your other sounds. Hopefully this makes sense. It's hard to describe through text
Do you know if its possible to control the four macros in Vital plugin with Mascine MK3 controler? Using the arrow keys, they are not one of the options to choose to make a macro in Maschine. With my Circuit Tracks, I just turn the knob and it maps. But I have no idea how to get one of the knobs on Maschine to control a vital macro - which can have several parameters that its controling.
Hey! I don't have a class on it. In my course, I have 2 videos which cover Lock and Ext lock states. It covers the basics, however, both videos combined are less than 8 minutes. So I wouldn't push anyone towards a full course solely for those two short videos. I wish I had a video for Lock on this channel, but I don't at this point in time. Once I have time to make videos again, I'll make a video on lock state. My best recommendation is to browse every video you can find on lock states. Also, read the Lock State section of the Maschine Manual online. The videos will teach you and help spark ideas on how you could improve your workflow with it
I didn't know you did regular tutorials too, sweet! These should apply to Mk3 too, right? And if so, do you have any tutorials up that show how to make something like different loops, (I was hoping to be able to fill up a couple pads or groups with a few background beats and bass that I could solo guitar and keyboard over, for live and performance videos) If you didn't , would you consider making any, (If Maschine is capable of doing something like this )
Yes, this should apply to the MK3 is well. You can add loops in Maschine using the audio module. It'd be a similar process to the one I showed with adding a vocal in the video on my channel titled "How to Create Remixes with Acapellas in Maschine"
Hey Dave. In Maschine there are groups that are similar to tracks in other DAWs, if that’s what you’re referring to. But then within each group there are 16 sound slots which you are probably familiar with by now. I’m not sure what the limit is with how many groups you can create, but I’m sure it’s more than enough. Im not familiar with real time replacing over dub so I dont think i can answer that unfortunately
I'll try to do some in 2024! I'm not the best at those genres yet, which is why I don't have too many tutorials featuring hip hop and R&B, but I'm trying to learn. Once I do, I'll make some videos

Some great tips here, thanks
Thank you!
Much appreciated. Looking forward to applying these tips.
Of course!
Thank you!!! Thanks for sharing your knowledge!!

I had the same issue and felt the same way once I learned this lol. Glad it could help you too!
This was incredibly useful! Thanks a lot and keep up the good work!
Thanks Christian! Happy it was helpful. I'll try to make some similar videos

Like your vids easy to watch, nice tempo and good explanation! Keep it up buddy! 👍🏻👊🏻
Thank you, Mark! I really appreciate the feedback
tip 4. thanks that was maddening for me.
Glad the vid could help!
thank you for making these videos!!!

Unfortunately, I can't help you much. I don't have experience trying this
Do you have a class on lock state. i need to master it but the workflow work around hasnt clicked with me yet. any tips?

I’m new to masculine plus how many tracks can you make and does it have real time replace and over dub?

I have vintage Yamaha rs7000 that has real time, grid sequence, step sequencer and replace overdub.
Can you do hip hop and rob tutorials?
