    One thing that i have learned having worked at John Deere and also Cat. When it comes to fasteners like bolts and rivets. They mark those puppies up by about 4-500% on price. a pop rivet is a pop rivet. You could have probably gotten those rivets at a grainger for like $75

    Mike if you actually raised the wheels all the way up like your supposed to it changes the software logic for on ground cutting. The defaults are different in on ground vs off ground cutting. Then you wouldn't have the "problem" of it not being light enough on very light.

    Ah the convenience tax got Mike.. Having that credit account at the dealership is the most expensive thing for farmers & the biggest profit margin for dealerships… Mike could have bought two years worth of rivets had he planned that purchase over the winter & if he had a conversation with his dealership at that time they would have price matched his researched price, that works for nearly all parts from dealerships when those parts can be sold by third parties..

    • @interman7715
      @interman7715 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@verlinswarey507 My friend, a patent is not necessarily an innovation, an innovation is something revolutionary ie a game changer .JD is infamous for copying other companies tech ie the Axial flow combine which was perfected and marketed first by IHC ,JD bagged out the rotary concept and swore they were no good but of course they copied it to the letter after the patent ran out .JD copied the Quadtrac off Case ih and the Catterpiller rubber track tractor for their RX series.JD copied the twin rotor New Holland for their X9 combine. JD had old twin cylinder putt putt tractors till 1959 whilst most manufacturers had multi cylinder engine tractors since the early 20s .Old man Deere probably invented a plow (but most probably stole the idea) but the ground breaking tech stopped there! I actually studied a book of JD inventions in the last 150 years and it was pretty sad . If you want to get educated study a book called ' International Harvester farm equipment development history ' and you will be awakened from your green and yellow dream .Also study Massey Ferguson, Oliver and Ford history and you will see who the REAL INNOVATORS were . As all the other companies put their arses on the line to develop revolutionary farm equipment good ole JD just sat on the fence saving their money and waiting to see what was worth copying when the patents ran out. Sorry to rain on your parade mate but JD is a hack company and always has been .Btw if you think I'm some smart arse keyboard warrior with a set on JD think again as I am a fourth generation farmer and I have had much experience with multiple brands .
