what an incredible set. and the the way the film made it feel so dreamy!! perfection. if you need someone in the crowd that'll look less bored though, hmu 😂
I wish nothing more than my 4 and 7 year Olds can aspire to be as honest as this art, awww shucks,. Never stopped being honest, there is nothing to not love about the beats and the mindset ❤
Love the way Ruban is one with the guitar, absolutly impressive, as always. Less than a month for me to see them here on Argentina, I'm really anxious! Love them
Really good. I think this was recorded pretty early on in the tour so it features a slightly younger version of their live act. They've since made changes which I prefer but this is still a great set and nicely preserved window of the bands history.
@@IanBurningham Main thing for me is the rythmic change in Waves of confidence. Ive been combing thru amateur footage of their recent gigs and that apacella/solo section is much more rythmic. Alot of the transitions and ending jams are a bit more fleshed out too. They play alot of shows and change things constantly so my analysis isnt concrete btw.
He actually just explained why in his right rundown that was released the other day. He said it’s easier for him to pass to techs when he’s switching guitars and he hated how, if he had hats on, taking the guitar off would knock his hats off. lol.
This is my second time watching this performance recording. I know I'll come back many more times in future. Edit: Also does anyone know what ride cymbal Kody is using on his right? It sounds absolutely lush with the rivets. His other cymbals look to be vintage A New Beat Hats, and an Istanbul Agop Turk Ride, correct me if I'm wrong.
Layla live hmm so and so I like the reggae beat though but yeah it’s gotta be thicker sounding like on the record more reverb on voice or some sort of hambience background. It didn’t blend well but yeah great band

Respect to the audience, I would be just dancing like a mad man
To be able to make music like this with your father is such an accomplishment.
And your brother
My dad and I were in a garage rock duo band and it was such a fun time
This taught me that I really like Waves of Confidence
Banger
this is one of the best sounding live sessions I've ever heard
They never fold on live performance recordings
Check the
presentation of them in KEXP
I love Waves of Confidence so much 😭😭😭 what a treat!!!!
I'm just in love of this song 10:24 That Life

crowd was not hype enough
This and the tiny desk performance are phenomenal!
WAVES OF CONFIDENCE!!!!😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
woodwind instrument has brought you to a different level. and prolly the dad’s playing it, such a great vibe.
You’re not going to believe this but every person playing an instrument in that room is a dad 😒

Mi grupo musical favorito de la actualidad, me alegra mucho haber conocido a Unknown Mortal Orchestra.
what an amazing performance! recording and filming crew did fantastic job, visuals fit perfect with the music!
Ruben with at least 17 pedals. NICE
Brodie your work is top notch. I haven't seen this level of quality in TH-cam.
Super impressive band. Love Rubans voice and guitar riffs. I saw them live once and they were electric

ITS A FAMILY AFFAIR!
I love umo and nielson but I’ve always wondered why he’s got his guitar strap like that like u in a hurry why do u have to have it on standby
Can’t let the opps know your next move 🤷🏽♂️
he does it since his early days with the mint chicks, so i guess you can get used to it lol
It’s a hair thing
His rig rundown juat came out. He explains his strap situation there.

Believe it or not, some people like to focus and listen to the music + instrumentation without bothering those around them

Thanks
as someone named Brodie, I’m trying to understand why these are called Brodie Sessions
Brodie is named after our English bulldog that used to live in the private residence where the live sessions take place :)
this looks like Copenhagen!
layla es el mejor tema de la historia
💯
Any one know what kind of guitar Ruben is playing?
it's a custom made by Baranik guitars in LA.
the other one is a Rogue electric sitar
I see the electric sitar in the thumbnail but does he actually play it in the session? I did not spot it.@@borgesguerardi
@@VinnySgro i don't remember him playing it also, but he usually does when performing multi love, so its quite easy to spot
10:53
Is this the entire set?
There is one more bonus track being released today at 4:00PM CET
🙂
god
best band, why is the audience dead?!!!!!!
how come nobody is dancing??? they're just staring and noding...
These spectators do not seem to know how to move their bodies
Hey bro get a wet/dry rig happing. Trust me it will be more effective.
what a horrible show
