I was never impressed with the live performances I've seen on TH-cam but seeing them live.... maaaaan. Their sound is so clear while being pretty loud. Very inspiring.
As a casual fan I wondered how their live sound would compare to their albums. Seen mixed comments about them being amazing/underwhelming. Is it worth catching them in 2024?
@Nath-rg2qd I mean, they're not gonna be a carbon copy of the albums of course. I was also afraid of the sound being super treble heavy from how most videos sound but they sound greeeat. The best thing I can say is that they sound incredibly well-rounded at a pretty good volume. Everything gets pushed just to its limit before it gets muddy or compromised. Give em a go. You'll have a blast.
This performance gave me the warm fuzzies, seeing father & son perform together with music that exists through this commitment to the next generation. It’s so beautiful.
I was there! The sound improved when walking to the front, otherwise it was hard to understand the guitar ... but the magic was definitely there! This band is poison!
waves of confidence was released alongside swim and sleep as a teaser EP for the 2nd album. and yeah I love Ill come back 4 you. ive always wanted to learn it
Honestly, for me, they were way better live back in their early era from 2011-2013. They were just a 3 piece and their raw power was UNBELIEVABLE. When I saw them again in 2015 after those first 2 tours I was actually disappointed with their smoother sound and extra live band members. They got softer, more commercial sounding, and just lost their edge and original charm.
