@@grungestoryteller Um.. are you speaking the two deceased again? You really need to stop pretending like Chris and Andy weren’t good friends. It’s weird at this point.
Great. I'm in a learning mood tonight. I looked to see when this comment was originally posted (and clicked like) but I'm confused as to why it says 4 years ago because Chris died in May, 2017 and that's not even 3 whole years until this coming May, 2020. It's not appearing as saying it's been edited either.
And so.. not sure why it first appeared that way, but I just had to go all the way out of TH-cam and close everything and all the way back in to see the word edited next to 4 years, because I really did look before I commented. That was strange. Well I do know stranger things have happened on line and I'm in a custody battle so I hope these aren't my last days on TH-cam. Peace..

The good old days is what I remember. Some of the best years of my life. And I have to say; I'm surprised I made it this far. But as the saying goes at some point we all have to grow up and become our parents so to speak. Lol! I only wish the people we've lost along the way could be here too! And anyone who knows anything about music is surely missing the hell out of Chris Cornell. RIP Bro! Peace out Peeps!

I've been listening to this song for a long time and every time I'm taken to this spiritual state. It grabs you by the mind and flings you off far into an area far off beyond reality. It's the fucking best feeling.
I took magic mushrooms with hearing this song, and moments on, it took me to a whole different world where it haven’t felt like my life. These legends would have been something BIG if they’re around at this day!
I read through several comments. No differing of opinions. No arguments or debates. Not anything unkind from one person to another. That's why this shit is so important. Music like this exists for good reasons.
Listening to this music. Timeless in its sounding beauty. Watching the late sun dance on the covers as the branches flicker shadows through the window. I love you boys. For the feeling you envoke. Delivering paradise in a sometimes parasitic world for a moment. The late sun teases a falling amethyst sky. Back to childhood and innocence, and the world is perfect. A fucking legend song!

This is one of the most blissful and incredible songs I've ever heard. So incredibly poignant and achingly beautiful. They just whipped this together. Astonishing.
This is better described as "An Andrew Wood song (with Chris Cornell)" than the other way around, since Wood wrote it and Cornell is really doing the backing vocals here (though it's almost lead, the way the song works), but that's a minor and pedantic point. Thanks for posting this!
I was scrolling through the comments to see if anyone else thought the same. But I guess it was a major influence on Chris (and probably on Andy too). It's pretty obvious in Soundgarden (you just have to add some Black Sabbath) but I also rember listening to Audioslave once and a friend told me it sounded like a ripp-off of Led Zeppelin to him.
There's quite a few parts of Apple that sound like they could've been from Zeppelin, and the On Earth As It Is collection also has numerable songs in that vein, nothing this good though.

Underneath a fallen dream
Theres a winter
Pardon me i did not know
You were sleeping
Warm my body and my heart
I think I'm freezing
All i need is one more chance
To get through this season
Hey yeah
Where did the day go
The sun just seemed to sink away
Hey yeah
Island of summer
From my dream I'll find you
Before i wake
Remember leaves and fields of green
Because of winter
Rub your cold shoulder next to me
Because of winter
Drinking water crystal clear
From the river
Hey yeah
Where did the day go
The sun just seemed to sink away
Hey yeah
Island of summer
From my dream ill find you before i wake
Because of winter
Drinkin water crystal clear
Here's the winter
By the fire we can sit
And think of december
Just in time to breathe the spring
Though it stays
Not as long as you would
