    Hi Peter yes definitely the backlights. The 7 blinks will be the red light turning on the tv , the backlights will try and fire up but the psu detects a current issue and shuts down.

      After I found out my Panasonic was a Vestel, I of course bought a UMC Sharp. Now I'm about to buy a Samsung and I hope it's actually a Samsung...

    Hi Allen, my Panasonic TX-48CX400b has the 7 blinks and no picture. It will give a flash on the screen but nothing else. Do you know what this could be?

    Nice Video to watch. Thanks for that. I replaced some LED's and the TV is working again. My problem is now that i see all LED's when the screen is showing some bright pictures. Could you help me out with the right order of the diffusor layers,please? I think the pre owner tried a repair and messed it up. Screen supporters are all new. That shouldnt be the issue. Thanks again

    Well done sir...Im from Bristol and also repairing Tv's but just for fun and coffee money.Working on same model but 55 inch.Power supply buzzing so it can be because faulty led drowning lot of current but can be faulty power supply.I got one at home so I hope it will be that.I hate working on these model's just like You but they not as bad as screwless samsungs 😃

      Hi Martin. Agree with the Samsungs. After extra testing I noticed the buzzing it’s onl on the Freeview channels. HDMI does not take extra current.

    Please help! I have same tv but have backlights but no image. I have power to tcon but no voltage to panel end of tcon. I've replaced all the boards with same problem. I've replaced psu with a new board thinking it was that but made no difference. Could the cable from tcon to main board cause this fault by failing but still giving power to tcon? I get 4 red blinks pause then followed by 10 blinks. Panel is not connected ever. TV started flickering but now has nothing but backlights. Any help would be grateful. Thank you

    • @allenfleckney5969
      @allenfleckney5969  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Voltage to T-con does not mean signal is being received , a scope is required to test that. Have you tried removing one of the lvds cables from the Tcon to screen to see if half an image comes up. Could be the screen.

      @@allenfleckney5969 thank you so much for replying! Yes tried removing each cable and no difference with either. When swapping boards around I did get a picture quickly then not had again so assume the panel is ok. My led readings are 115v but lit up fine and everytime but I'm guessing that's too low?

    • @allenfleckney5969
      @allenfleckney5969  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes should be double that voltage. They won’t light up with 115v.

      @@allenfleckney5969 thank you again... the LED voltage is steady at 121v I was wrong with 115v. When I turn tv on its 79v then goes up to 121v.

    Hi Allen, really informative vid. I'm trying to find the reason for my model shutting down after switch on. I seem to get 10 blinks after turning on then a few seconds of picture before it disappears, I will take it apart to see if I have any dud backlights but is there anything else I can check?
    Thanks in advance !

    • @allenfleckney5969

      It’s looking like the backlights. Remember the way to tell is the audio will remain , just the picture disappears, if you are losing pic and audio it’s something else.

    I have this make and model. Screen went black with picture visible dimly behind, I assumed the backlights had gone, but it seems I can get the picture to return fully but it cuts out after 10-20 minutes. Does this mean the backlights are okay and it has a different fault ie power supply? An engineer told me he wouldn’t touch it because of the Vestel parts being known as faulty. Could you tell me if you think I should just scrap it. Such a shame I love 3D movies and they don’t make 3D sets anymore.

    Great video. I’m currently doing the same but on the 55”. Where do you get the round clips that that twist off that keeps the screen away from the leds? All of these on this one I’m doing are just breaking. Thanks from a fellow Cornish man 👍🏻
