New mic is good, sound is much more isolated on your voice and not the running water in the background 😊 If you do more satellite guesser you should know that you can use the shadows (most of the time) to determine north/south hemisphere.
The new mic sounds a lot better quality, though I think there is a bit of a hiss/white noise coming from it. You can reduce it in OBS (which I think you use?) by applying the built-in filter "Noise Suppression" to the audio mixer :) Idk if I can link the tutorial, so it's called "How To Remove Background Noise on Your Microphone (OBS Studio)".
I watched this right when it came out but I'm coming back to it now to say that right after I watched it, I started to play set 2 and got 39/50... I had another look at it just now and managed to complete it. There were definitely a couple tough ones in there that took me forever to figure out, but also a couple that I think are non-trivial that really surprised me with how fast I got them. Would love to see you have a go at them! (I also need to inform you that I'm one of the people who recognised Athens and screamed at their computer for several minutes)
Maybe its becuase of all the time I've spent staring cities in making app but I was able to get most of these super quick :) Mic is good but I'd lower the gain and add a noise filter.
Nice, HugeQuiz has similar quizzes that I enjoyed, this should scratch a similar itch Also, mic sounds clean, background noise is much lower, I guess you sound a little more high pitched on it but it's not like that's an issue
New mic sounds crispyyy 🔥 Would definitely like to see more of this. It would be interesting to see even smaller cities to challenge your detective skills
New mic is great! like other people said there are some tweaks to be made (white noise), but your voice is a lot less harsh and less overall background noise. Also, enjoyed this a lot!
This was fun. After watching you do the first ten, I thought I'll do the rest myself and then watch you solve it. You were generally a lot quicker, but not always. I got stuck on Tijuana for a while as I had zoomed out immediately and then recognised San Diego relatively quickly so was then confused when it didn't work... There's a few things that make the world look quite different than on Geoguessr. First, airports are super prominent. Secondly, there are often some massive buildings or complexes that you don't really get to see from Streetview. And thirdly, the maps don't always seem to match the extent of the city as seen in satellite.
The grid on #10 sent me to the wrong continent too at first - but then I zoomed in on the weird beige splotch in the middle and realized it was the Acropolis
That was really fun honestly, tried it before I watched the video. Took me a bit longer than it took for you (mostly because I forgot Iceland existed...) but managed to get them all eventually. Honestly I'd love to see more of these. Cities look fascinating from satellite images, and there are 25 more of these 50-location quizzes left to do.
I absolutely love this game, good to see you play it, and you should definitely do more. Also i thought the Athens loc was in Latin America for most of the time, Greece is definitely unique when it comes to architecture in Europe, so it didn't even cross my mind.
I was gonna say - either a new mike or Jake turned off his computer fan - not caring if it overheats 😀 This video is good! You know you can get this mod for GeoGuessr, right? Gavin is pretty good at this, with his knowledge of urban planning.
23:31 You were right, it is in fact a humongous cemetery with more than 1 million buried there 😲

New MIC is great
These are awesome, i'd love to see more on YT. Love the content!
Fun video as always! Tried to play along, Nairobi and Kabul took me ages...
My experience is that screaming at the screen doesn't really work.
That doesn’t stop most people 😆

Jake Lyons ASMR

love these kinds of videos, and new mic is amazing 😀

You can also do this with a script in geoguessr, infinite possibilities
Hey Jake, any chance you'll play some Timeguessr?
While you were busy guessing Cape Town and Jeddah I was scanning Japan on Athens :'D zooming in on the hills within the city helped a ton.
Keep going!
The mic sounds good and this game looks like fun.

Enjoyed this! Would love to hear a bit of your thought process on some of the rounds where you got the city right away

You were right, i was screaming Athens at the screen hahahaha

took me a few minutes to adjust to the sound of the new mic, but after watching the whole video, I have to say: it sounds really good!
I absolutely would love more of those
Please do more of this
More of this, it was fun! 👍
Nice with a new video!
I want to see these on youtube.

Its my birthday today and my wish is Please continue this series!! 🙏
14:58 one of the oldest geoguessr metas is yellow crosswalk = switzerland 😭😭
I love these. Try not to look at the stadiums at first.
Sounds great
I would like more of these
mic is good add some noise supression tho to remove background white noise
I absolutely love this game, good to see you play it, and you should definitely do more. Also i thought the Athens loc was in Latin America for most of the time, Greece is definitely unique when it comes to architecture in Europe, so it didn't even cross my mind.
Since we're talking about audio quality, you should get a DeEsser.
33:55 fun fact : it was actually modelled after Washington DC!
The new mic is 🔥🔥🔥
7:34 I thought Karachi for sure
Ottawa but not Toronto (unless I zoned out and missed it)? Gasp! What is the quiz world coming to?
try lowering the gain a bit on the mic might help get rid of the fuzz iirc
You should play Geoguessr with the satellite view script! maybe with some themed maps.
I was gonna say - either a new mike or Jake turned off his computer fan - not caring if it overheats 😀 This video is good! You know you can get this mod for GeoGuessr, right? Gavin is pretty good at this, with his knowledge of urban planning.
Hi everyone! I’ve seen coverage copyrighted for 2023 & 2024 in Russia and Ukraine. Is Google back in these countries, or is something else going on?
I didn’t guess Athens on #10 but I figured it had to be that area (was thinking Mediterranean Sea)
I can tel you were tiering on cap town 😂
I enjoyed the crap outta this. I was so proud of myself for the first 30% of the video . . . It went downhill fast after that, though. 🤣
Who misses the keyboard sounds?
mooooooore!!!
Jeddah has stadiums?
I didn’t Even know the 10…
hey i wanna create a similar one just for indian cities, can anyone guide me through ?
Do it blindfolded
Did you ever figure out what city you were missing in the cover the world video?
Hmm, which video do you mean?
I think it was called the most satisfying quiz or something like that… and it ended with this tiny little circle in China
@@pinedrops7542 it was something called Liyang 🤷♂️
You sure you’re not Liyang about that? That’s what I’d call it if I was making something up 😂.
17:34 time to fix Nordic sprawl haha
