Air filters make a huge difference to jetting, I noticed the 26 had a filter, the 28 open. You really need to run both either with a filter or open to compare 👍 having one carb with and one without is screwing your results. On a 70cc 2t scooter engine, going from standard air box to cone filter I had to jump from 58main to 70main everything else being equal. You done a great job on the build, that air/fuel sensor is brilliant.

Love this project. From my understanding, in basic terms, the pilot jet controls 0 to 1/8 th throttle, the needle 1/8 to 3/4 throttle, and the main jet 3/4 to full throttle.
Its a little ripper love it looking forward to the clutch conversion part hopefully that will be all the niggles finished with unless of course you have other plans.
hi there. just stumbled upon your video and it brings me such a joy that this bike modification exist outside of SEA. i used to modified the hell out of this bike in my teen days. from my experience and your video, that 28mm carb already works perfectly. getting rich on heavy engine load (ie getting over a hill or inclined roads) is quite common or normal, or it is normal back in my days. you can only play with the sprocket after that. the main thing is you get the right AFR along the range. but that's just my limited knowledge and can't wait to see more of this bike adventure.
As soon as you modify things. The normal size carburettor recommendations go out the window. It's definitely time consuming getting it right. But well worth the effort.

It's meant to get rich under acceleration. If you go too lean, exhaust valves burn out and eventually pistons melt. Take a look at the spark plug colour. It should be the same colour as a digestive biscuit

@ Thank you. I had a 24. Now run a 26 with big valve head and huge 6.0 duration cam. Its almost there tuning wise and the plugs a good colour. It should be replaced by a Honda derived 190cc 4 valve by May 👌
26mm 'Waste of time' yes having proved the engine can use the air the 28mm can supply at large throttle openings AND the slower air velocity when not. I thought you would've had to start thinking about needle position/ tapers(which can often lead to more jet swapping) but the air/fuel ratio now seems very good over a wide range of demands from the engine.👍

Are you running on super or E10? I've found Phyllis runs noticeably worse on E10, no go at all. Phyllis is injection so I hope it'll have enough brains to cope with the 150cc kit. If not, then I may have to go down the carb route. How far out does the air filter sit? Does it sit in still or turbulent air? A bit of turbulence can make you chase your tail a bit.

a lot of work going into this project, have you thought of the Honda cub 125 carb at all, them bikes do about 65+ just wondering if you could jet that up to what you need ?
@@rs2klee, Hi, yes when I first built the bike it was a 125cc and was running on a std Innova 125cc carb, you are right most honda 125's will do 65 mph, however it's how quick it picks up speed..the bigger carb allows more power on the bottom end, I've had the bike over 70mph, but I'm not really interested in top speed as it's an awful thing to ride over 60mph, I want the low down power for fun, thanks for watching 🛵

I have a c90 with lifan 110 in it. The original carb was well worn so 3 chinese shit ones later I got a nibbi I think it was a 19mm but I spent ages trying to get it running right. It's OK now but sometimes pops when I let off in 4th. Can I ask how you found what jet sizes nibbi advise for 110 and where you get the jets. I ended up drilling mine to the best size I could find with carb drills. I see you too have a big pezza key ring, think I have ridden out at matlock with you in the past but only just found your channel. I did ask pezza about the fast blue cub.

Carb size wont make much difference. The 26mm carb is either faulty or not properly jetted. Change the jets, needle and atomiser from the 28mm onto the 26mm and it should run fine.

@Motoshed There is something wrong with the 26mm then. Larger choke size will allow more revs and maybe a bit more top end, but running at lower revs should be about the same. If it goes OK with 28mm doesnt really matter, though, I guess. Adrian at OO Racing is a useful source of parts for pitbike motors.

@@Motoshed Thank you apologies if I missed it in the build did you weld a nut on the downpipe to mount the sensor or is it just poked up the end of the exhaust? Pricey but better than destroying an engine.
@@SAM-zt2uy , Hi Yes unfortunately it requires a nut welding in the downp pipe, as they are designed to work a certain distance from the header, I think from memory it's 25cm, but it's in the instructions, the meter can either be connected to the 12v circuit, or will run off an internal battery, yes they are pricey, but takes the guess work out, I wish I had brought mine years ago...thanks
I can't get any speed out of my ANF125 Innova since end of November...because scumbag thief stole it...buses and walking for over 7 weeks...my Christmas present...no bike...spent like 45 minutes on mobile to the Police and made full report...theres a part2 though...Police called me up about 10 days later...female officer at 4am...i swear...4 in the morning...what's the emergency? She said my bike was spotted...a pursuit took place...the youth abandoned it and made off...Police recovered it to the Impound and awaiting Forensics inspection...that was like 6 weeks ago...nothing...not a word since...i keep being asked but no update yet...my insurance is wasted...renews in April...i'm now sorting out a Honda Wave...it was my seized up backup bike...now it runs again...I'll have to sort the MoT and Road Fund Tax and Insurance next...start all over again...if i get Innova back...if...then it'll be the backup bike...

Takes a while to dial these things in, and the only way I know how, is to road test with a wideband lambda sensor like you.

I just came across your channel. On the AFR reading, doesn’t a higher number indicate a leaning? You are getting more air:fuel.

I had a 1969 50 cc model put a 70 carb on it straight through pipe could get 62 out of it used to beat my mate on his rd lol
