I’ve noticed that when I agree with his reasonable and rational self is when I personally agree that his viewpoints are reasonable and rational. The guy has an incredibly subjective opinion of almost everything, you know, just like people do. That’s why he’s not a journalist nor could he ever be, he’s not respectful of his guests if he doesn’t want to and there comes his appeal in the entertainment business. On the other hand, it’s kind of strange to me that Trevor Noah, who isn’t a journalist either, can be so incredibly articulate, respectful and insightful with every guest that he has had, he knows when to put the journalist hat on and is amazing at it.
Joel Estrada His commitment to truth is more important to him than being polite. Maybe the world wouldn't be such a mess if more people were like him. It's very reasonable to see through liars and treat them with derision.

The most hilarious part of all of this is knowing that almost everyone who laughed when Prager talked about menstruating men wouldn't dare go against it in 2022.
Wasn’t good old Ms Rowling (attempted to be) cancelled for saying 'people who menstruate = women', i.e., exactly what all of Mr Prager’s interlocutors at the table seem to consider true, as they laugh off the statement that ‘men can menstruate’? Stating statistical reality is not being unfair to a miniscule minority. It’s like saying "metals can be liquids at room temperature too". Just 2 out of a hundred can, and hence no one tries to say sucha thing. The exception proves the generality.
Eh, I do agree it’s stupid, but I think most people in that room would object to the notion that men can mentstruate. I think the only reason that’s believable is that by and large minorities with extreme positions speak the loudest.

I think most people on that panel actually misunderstood Prager because they aren't close to the whole trans issue and don't care one way or the other what humans do on that subject. Their mind went to the idea that Prager was calling MtF trans women "men" and claiming that saying that these newly minted women can't menstruate is somehow transphobic because it reminds them that they aren't "real women" or something. Thus it being an instance of the Left actively lying. What Prager actually meant (I think) is that the opposite type of transgender, FtM, sometimes still menstruate, the lie in Prager's eyes being that these menstruating human beings are being called "Men".

Nissim Levy I’m just saying that his subjective viewpoint is more important to him than the truth, regardless of how close to it he may be. You want an actual example of him being irrational? The whole idiocy of his critique to overweight people that James Corden responded to. He can be amazingly coherent too, but his viewpoints can be controversial because of how important they are to his personal ego.
Nissim Levy I actually love him and respect him for fighting that hard to discuss his personal opinions on any level. His commitment to truth is unquestionable, but it is still a personal truth.

True. ✌
Daily Beast among others have run pieces about this. Prager just couldn't recall his source.

Because you're being victimized by a Machiavellian BS artist, masquerading as an intellectual. I'm serious.
He just went on a serious boomer rant

We’re not as racist as other countries, so all is well.
that was not his point though.
snuffeldjuret I’ll make this easy, fuck everything prager has ever said. 🖕🏽
What a ridiculous man he is.
That's not his point. He was providing context, compared to Utopia of course there's room for improvement. If you look at the whole of human history and US history however, we are doing better than ever. Unfortunately nobody on the panel would let Prager talk long enough to fully disclose his arguments.
Ron Hawk yes and no. America has historically set standards for eclecticism. Any drop in that standard even if it’s on the positive size of zero will be perceived negatively. America is where it is today because of its acceptance of different cultures. Now an orange douchebag is hellbent on destroying its legacy and people are suddenly okay with it. I don’t care republican or Democrat. I person in that position has to be a person of integrity, morals and lead from the front. A person who unites people not divides them. DJT is doing exactly opposite and people are okay with that. It’s a sign that all great civilizations ultimately die and self destruct and America’s decay has started. 25 years from now it will be behind Mexico and Mexico will be building a wall.....
Dennis Prager was completely right. And he was laughed at… good lesson there.
UC Berkeley’s men’s room has tampon dispensers............And on to the comic relief!

He did that on purpose to not have to talk about Trump's lies.

It was an extremely overblown case that in the end was investigated constantly and ended up not being that big of a deal. Prager was still using 2016 talking points and looked foolish. And no Prager is not for the truth. He defends a man who lied all through his campaign and has lied from the first day of his presidency (crowd size) to now. This is the person Prager goes on his radio show every day and defense that the media is unfair towards.
this man gives me a headache
Ronan is absolutely brilliant and kind guy. During the show Bill was rude and personal with Ronan and he smiled it off. If it was someone else they would have insulted back.
Bill, who cares who is Ronan's father. First of all, he is doing something good for people who were voiceless until he came along. Second, even if his dad was Frank Sinatra, what's that got to do with his work. You are going to blame Ronan for Frank's deed? You were trying to imply that. Stop doing that to him every time he comes to your show.
It was rude of Bill. How would you like it if we put you in the spot and make you tell us why you don't date girls or never married. That's personal and nothing to do with professional life.
Bill always throws personal jabs at Ronan every time he comes to the show.
Ronan keep up the good work.
@Daniel Drader Colbert also likes to wrap up a Ronan interview with a smart alec Sinatra comment. Fortunately, Ronan appears to be so well composed that he treats this with levity. Some people would find it highly challenging of their identity, and I personally don't think Ronan deserves to have this personal side of his life teased and made fun of. He is doing the greatest investigative work for the public interest in the world, and he should be accorded due respect. Jokes should be kept to the content of what is being discussed, not putting guests on the spot because of parental matters.
It matters because Ronan continues to repeat his mother's lie about his who his father is (as well as Mia's other pernicious lies). It's hard to take a journalist seriously if they continue with an obvious falsehood about their basic identity. He can't tell people how "the truth hurts" and then hide behind the apron-strings when his own Big Lie is thrown into his face.
@@SirVic42 Ronan had a very tumultuous early life, which he has made the absolute most of. There are very objective reasons why he is loved and regarded as a hero by large sections of the population. Why is it important to some people to point fingers at his patrimony? I don't see why the relationship between Woody, Mia and Ronan can't be left up to them to sort out. When there is a justifiable reason for it to be publicly commented on, it can be done on their terms at their timing.
Note: Dennis Prager doesn’t answer the question.
He is a damn trump enabler pure and simple
which question?
My thoughts exactly when I was listening to his rant. This is what makes Republicans very effective by being able to turn the tables and making their opponents be on the defensive, and yet no one called out his bullshit by skirting of the original issue. Prager is a sociopath.
a Republican deflecting ... what are the chances!!!

"Bill: He [Trump] does lie, you would agree with that?

(As far as I can hear)
Seems to me he did not deflect on those, so what question are you thinking of? I know you didn't claim he specifically did deflect on any question, but I am curious if you think schultzn1 might have lied or misinterpreted the situation.
Go Dennis!!! 🤗
Mr. Maher, I wonder if you would consider a show with a panel of Vaccinologists and Dr. Jay Gordon?
But bill had factually accurate reports... so are you saying it’s fake news? Are you saying Bill is taking this out of context? Or perhaps making it up? The flu shot is well known for having a very low success rate. It’s sold everywhere even Walmart and gas stations. You don’t think that it’s possible that there could be for profit motive or even some negligence in the vaccine industry? They’re all perfect angels over there huh?
Bill made the case that vaccines are the greatest medical marvel of the modern world, but he pointed out that there might be side effects that we aren't 100% aware of yet, based on the fact sometimes medical research isn't 100% correct. I don't understand what is controversial about that. He did NOT advocate not vaccinating your children
What do you propose as the topic for this panel?
Catherine Ferris, PhD, RN, PHN yes yes please we’ve been asking for a real debate in vaccine safety but nobody is taking R Kennedy Jr on it, he has offered and been stood up and all the experts decline.
QUALITY INN Precisely. That’s what I heard. I don’t hear him advocating any radical, extreme position but merely asking if vaccines have side effects that we don’t realize yet. I don’t hear him saying that people should stop vaccinating their kids; if people take it that way it’s because they lack any semblance of critical thought. We need to tackle the stupidity epidemic before anything else.

What's scary is that this was only 4 years ago. How does the world change so much in that time?
5:00 Turns out Bill and everyone on that panel needs to eat crow...
What did all that "tampons in the men's room" blather have to do with Trump telling lies? People need to stop letting ridiculous distractions keep them from getting their questions answered. Maher just went on to the next question. Weak and frustrating.
Trump is 1 guy who tells a ton of lies, meanwhile a lot of people on the left say that you can choose whatever gender you want at any time you want and that it's perfectly possible for a man to bear children and menstruate while also wanting these lies added to the circculum in schools. Oxford has now banned clapping to not offend people, multiple universities in America have also adopted similar policies. If you don't get that changing scientific facts in order to not 'offend' people is a bigger issue than 1 lying president (all presidents lie btw, Obama also lied a ton). Just because you like the character of 1 president better than the other doesn't mean they don't tell lies. And believe it or not right now Fox news is the least biased mainstream news network in America, as someone from europe looking at American news it's extremely clear, and before you call me racist and bigot you should now i vote left in a country where our most extreme right wing party is more left then the democratic party.
@@sw-tg6no We're not watching CNN, let's stick to the point of my comment. He had plenty of time in this setting to actually answer the question. He's using a common technique where when you know the truthful answer will not be in your favor, you basically filibuster with on a tangential subject to distract from the actual issue. If your being honest, it's pretty obvious.
@@SamDePrez So you are refusing to answer the question too. It's like saying, "why are we upset about Jeffrey Epstein because there are plenty of other pedophiles out there". There's plenty to discuss with all the crazy gender stuff going on, but that's a different subject. Not really pertinent when discussing Trump's relationship with the truth. These types of debate techniques are just silly.
Prager is pointing out the absurdity of the left's teachings. You're not smart enough to see that?
The distraction method is the GOP/Alt-right's MO. (Also some Democrats at times as well, when they don't have an answer to a question).
For the GOP though, it used to be obvious but at least *somewhat* subtle.. but now, it's hilarious how bad they are about it. You could ask a question about the stock market and they will instantly start talking about BlueLivesMatter. It's so fucking transparent and incredibly frustrating to me that people fall for it
