My favourite song of all time, so fucking powerful! So happy to see a reaction with someone knowing the meaning before hand, great work mate 🖤

Incredible song, but I cannot listen to it anymore without crying… and I’m not really an emotional guy. It just hits me too hard. It makes me feel TERRIFIED because I put myself into his shoes for those months leading up to his death 😢. The lyrics sink me SO deep into the feeling, that it stirs/upsets me to tears every time. I can’t help it.. 🤷‍♂️ 😢

Great video! Yeah, this one hits hard. Tom was an amazing songwriter. RIP.
Off of this same album: "Memento Mori" is the closing track, 8 minutes long, similar in theme to this one (and even more haunting in my opinion). "Nihilist" and "A Match Made in Heaven" are just absolute bangers.
From later material: "Doomsday" is probably their best-known song, and it was written by their drummer Dan (Tom's brother) as a letter to him after he passed. "Hereafter" is also about their grieving process. And if you want to check out their newest album, which is a bit different, I'd suggest "Dead Butterflies" and "Animals."

Tom actually had some input on doomsday, unfortunately he passed away before it could be completed.

A Match Made in Heaven off the same album it's a banger as well. Very politically driven

Would be good to hear your take on Momento Mori knowing what you know about Tom Searle. It’s his Swan Song. You think this song was bad? Check that one out.

Hey man, if you wanna hit a new Genre, react to "scars on my heart" by Powfu and Sadboyprolific! They are an incredible duo, and do more lofi pop/rap

He's talking about addiction and making a different choice

He's literally talking about the guitarists terminal cancer eating his body away, not about addiction whatsoever. But that's what makes music the incredible art form it is, you can interpret the lyrics however you want. That being said, this song is definitely not about addiction.
