Her sister has said that Sharon was considering leaving him and that the only thing that stopped her was her pregnancy. I think ultimately she would have left him.
@@BBI_Strange_Agent Yeah. By the summer of 1969, Sharon was definitely fed up with his womanizing and was planning on filing for divorce as soon as he came returned to the states.
@@BBI_Strange_Agent I remember the E! True Hollywood Story episode "The Final Days of Sharon Tate" and many of the interviewees that knew the couple said that Roman was very controlling and demeaning to Sharon. He often put her down for not being "intellectual enough" and once she had to beg a total stranger not to let him know that she lit up a cigarette because he would explode on her if he found out she was smoking. When she learned she was pregnant, she had to keep it a secret for the first couple of months because he would've forced an abortion if he found out. Well, Manson took care of that.
I remember when Quinton Tarantino said "she wanted it" referencing the child on a radio , defending Polanski. You know the industry is full of demons when you get an awards after fleeing the country to escape prosecution. Whoopie Goldberg even down play the assault of the child. This JoBlo video should have included all the people that stood by him after the assault. Scary stuff.
I always wonder what would've happened if Polanski had fought the sentencing. The judge had told his buddies AFTER he accepted the plea of probation that he was going to make sure Roman never got out of prison. I know this happened in the 1970s and it was a different time then, but Bill Cosby got off because he accepted a probation deal in exchange for a confession and then prosecutors reneged on it and locked him up with the intention of life imprisonment. Morally, Roman deserved life in prison, but LEGALLY, the judge telling people that he was going to reject the plea deal after telling the lawyer that it was acceptable is grounds for appeal. I could see Roman maybe spending a couple of years behind bars, but he'd still be out by the end of the 1980s, and I'm sure by the turn of the centuru everyone would've forgotten about his legal problems and he'd be able to accept all his Oscars in person.
