OMGoodness, I didn't realize I was "lazy-twisting". And, my un-twisting technique is off, too. THANK YOU, MRS KAREN! I appreciate you!! 👍💜
Hey Gorgeous! Good to hear from you! Yes -- LAZY TWISTING is a real thing -- at least its what I coined it! LOL!
@@KarenofCurlHouseCan you give us tips on how to keep our ends fresh without freeze and ssk’s, also do you believe that we should retwist at night to protect the style?
Loved it thank you
I’am a lazy twister !!! Time to change. Thank you so much Karen😘💝
Let's get it! You got this! Let me know if you need to know any other techniques! I got you!
@@KarenofCurlHouse ohh you are so loving, caring and generous. God bless you my beautiful sister😘💝
@@odilehelbongo5221 Yes, she is, and without all of the hype and gimmicks to get you to watch her videos
I never knew the twist out was supposed to be done like this! You make it look so easy too! When my twa grows out I can hardly wait to try this! 😀♥️
With practice -- it is easy!!! You will love playing in your hair when it grows a bit!
This is how I twist my hair, I slightly pull up when I wrap, then smooth it. I stop twisting, leaving about an inch and Bantu knot the ends. That gives me more definition at the ends.
@@The1GeminII Cool! 👍♥️
Great twist out tutorial!!
Thank you!! I appreciate it!
This is why I am subscribed to your channel. 🥰

Okay, I guess i will just head off into the bathroom and start my twist over again cause i know i did them wrong. Lol once again here's your flowers girl. 💐🌹💐🌹💐🌹🥰

That's awesome! So glad my videos have been helpful.. Please let me know if you there is anything else you need -- I can always create a video 😜
Thank you for, showing me the correct technique, I’m not a lazy twister, I didn’t know how to do it correctly 😇🤷🏾♀️👍🏾🙌🏾
You are very welcome! Let me know if there is anything else you would like to learn! I'm just a video away!
Thanks for this👏🏽. Now, I'll know how to do this technique once my hair grows some.🥰

@@KarenofCurlHouse OK, will do!🥰
I was picking from bottom and now I know to just untwist the whole twist. Thank you.
You are very welcome!
I’m going to try and let see how it goes 🙏🏾🙏🏾
You can do it!!!!!!!!!
I loved the Michelangelo example! Another great video!
Yess! So glad you appreciated that fine detail! LOL!
@@KarenofCurlHouse As a former educator, I appreciate technique in your presentation, photo included! And I learned that I’ve been creating frizz before I even style my twists by untwisting in a “picking” fashion. Not to mention that I need to take precaution not to be a lazy twister!
@@claudiamoss7670 yes yes yes! I love it! I appreciate it! It's time to step it up!!! LOL! 🙌🏾
No wonder my twist never came out right. I was doing lazy twist. I want to try two strand twist this summer.
Now you know the right way to do it 🙌🏾
@@KarenofCurlHouseOh my! I have the same hair texture as yours 🤣🤣😭. No wonder , I wasn’t doing my twist’s correctly and would avoid them like the plague so thank you for showing us seasoned ladies the proper way to do twists. I got tired of looking at all these young girls on YT doing their hair. Plus, since I’m transitioning my gray hair from a chemical straightener to my natural hair, I don’t like using a lot of gel products. Thanks and keep up the good work! 🙋🏽♀️💝
@@QueenEsther414 Thank you so much!!! You can do it! You can be seasoned, still learn, and still be fabulous! 🥰
Got it!I been dragging 😮
Haha! Now you can correct your drag! Lol
Thanks you so much for this video, I went to a salon a week ago and paid $85 and when I went home and took my twist loose it did not look good. Now I know, the stylist did lazy twist and also she only used moose which does not give me the polished look that I was wanting. Now I know to tell the stylist to use curl cream and or curl gel because I like the lister and hold they give my hair. And I know when to get up out the chair and set and appointment with another stylist if they start doing lazy twists lol.
I am so glad you are able to be better what you want and do not what!! #empowerment
Can we get a tutorial on your hairstyle though? It’s beautiful ❤. Eta: I found the tutorial in your older videos
Thank you so much! Here you go th-cam.com/video/5iHGEbVjR_Y/w-d-xo.html
Oh wait -- You found it! 😂
Did you put the mousse on first then the leave-in?
I always put leave in conditioner first, then followup with up with mousse or whatever styling product you are using.
Can you tell me what to do for my bald spot
Hi Gustina! So sorry to hear about your hair challenges. Bald spots form for many different reasons, but generally speaking, it important to know if its scarring or non scarring. And how long you've been experiencing it. Here is a video of one of my clients that may help -- th-cam.com/video/ZVfxeFA1QP0/w-d-xo.html
I typically take a holistic approach to hair restoration and this client took that full approach. Have you seen a dermatologist or trichologist to help you identify the cause?
Also, if your hair follicles are still active, applying oils to the scalp help as well. Here's video th-cam.com/video/yXD0NcWdEEQ/w-d-xo.html
Please show how to reduce parts without causing hair to frizz, I never go anywhere near my ends but still often have considerable frizz. ☹️
So jus to be clear - you want to know how to twist hair without hair looking so “scalpy” and how to minimize the ends being frizzy? Because I’m will make a part 2 to this video but I want clarity…
@@KarenofCurlHouse
Yes that's it exactly! & thank you so much cause I can't fathom why I'm getting frizz when blending hair to minimize scalp parts ?
@@a.s.m.3246 I gotcha! Also - do you get trims regularly (or on schedule?)
@@KarenofCurlHouse
Not on a particular schedule, but I do if they're looking raggedy.
Ok! I think I have all the information I need to know! Lol 😂
A tutorial I neeed. I think I hold it taught in the back and once I get to the fron it gets crazy😩
Do you have a 3 strand twist out
Hey there! My hair is a wash n go? Are you requesting a video on a three strand twist out? I am going to do a video on twisting techniques and can add the three strand to the video.
@@KarenofCurlHouse Yes if you can please!
@@KarenofCurlHouse The tutorial on a 3 strand twist out!
Hello There! Enjoy all video.. I too have alopecia .. how can I reach out to u! I think need help with scarring alopecia
Hello there! Send me an email to info@curlhouse.com
Hi, Karen of Curl House Have you seen the method for the two-strand twist where you start with a braid and then twist the rest of the hair? If so what are your thoughts is it worth the time? Does it make the twist smoother at the roots? And does it make them last longer?
Yees I have. It does take more time, however, it does make the root tighter, and if you plan to keep the twists in for a few weeks, I think its worth giving it a try. I can add braiding at the base to my part 2 video as well.
@@KarenofCurlHouse Hi, thank you for your response. Please, add it to your part 2 video. I am struggling to get the technique right.
Hi, I'm Char and I'm a Struggle-Twister.🫣
Miss Karen, could you do a video of you twisting your own hair?
I looked around your channel and found several of you doing others but not your own.
I can't seem to figure out how to hold my hands when I'm trying to twist my hair, especially in the back.
My twist always come out looking crazy.
Crooked and inconsistent twist, that's me.😭
💋💋💋
🙌🏾
Nice, but I can't reach good in the back. Bad shoulders, unless I tilt my head maybe. Can you have the natural style without twisting and used the twist product or curl pudding? My own hair is always braided or in twisted using my own hair. No perm anymore, but I have tangled hair and tender headed, but the problem after detangaling, it tangles right back up. Honestly. I like natural but it does not like me. I have a lot of hair and miss my relaxer. It didn't hurt then.
Hey there! Have you tried a wash and go? Here's a video: th-cam.com/video/GZ_FoAXUGJo/w-d-xo.html
@@KarenofCurlHouse yes I have, but I'm learning more from your videos. Thanks for sharing the link. That was a great video and looking forward to more. I'm lacking the moisture seems like after the second day it's dry. I wish I could show you some pictures.
@@lisah6076 Hey there! You are doing great! Just keep learning and be patient with horn hair. Dry hair (even after one day) is not a bad thing. It may just be your hair as well. And it must dry once twisted correct?
Yes! I’m gonna do a part two to this video. I clearly left out sone details! lol 😂
I will post a review next time I do twists. Thanks so much Karen 🙂
My twists are lazier towards the back of my head. It's hard twisting that part without creating a big gap in the center! 😩
I am going to create a part two video which shows some twisting techniques to minimize scalp so will do parting techniques.
@@KarenofCurlHouse Looking forward to it! Thanks Karen!
@@KarenofCurlHouse Oh great. I definitely need help with parting, yikes.
I’m lazy at the take down, I guess 😂
