I've been a huge fan of Ken Smith basses for a very long time. This is a very well done and informative video. I especially like the music in the beginning and end.

    The bass player's bass!
I'm not a ubiquitously recorded session bassist. Nor have I ever held down the low end for, or shared a bandstand with any of the revered titans of jazz, R&B, rock, etc. I'm just an average guy who loves the bass, has had one for over fifty-plus years, still jams with his buddies, and enjoys playing and listening to the music it makes. I didn't realize just how beautiful that music was, or how effortlessly it was to play, until I invested in a Smith six string nearly ten years ago, and paired it with my classic Ampeg 4x cab and head.
I own close to twenty basses of myriad make, model, and function. Some I haven't actually played in years. I'm also nearing the fourth quarter of the game, as an early septuagenarian. I figure it's prolly time to start liquidating some of my hobby related and other material assets, I've accumulated since high school.
The one thing amongst that collection of hunting rifles, handguns, watches, clothes, and other things I just had to have at the time, which I will keep until the game clock eventually winds down to 00.00, is my bubinga wood, Ken Smith six string electric bass. That's how much I appreciate the sound and the quality of your work, and what your instruments afford bass players of any and all skill levels. 👍🏿

It would be cool if Smith basses made guitars. They have amazing tops.
