Hello, I also live in Arizona! My son is also 4 1/2 .😃 just found you and subscribed. I want to start with homeschooling. Thank you for these videos that you share😁
Hi! Unfortunately we don't live in AZ anymore. We're now in SC. But I have very fond memories of AZ and monsoon season. 😀 Homeschooling is so fun! Please let me know if I can help in any way. :)
You’re so sweet thank you. I will add you on Instagram. I just found your channel and could help with any tips on home schooling. I will catch up to your previous videos. Ahhh you’re no longer in Az. That’s too bad. I would have loved to meet. That’s ok. We can be friends on Instagram☺️
My daughter is 4.5 and is doing the good and the beautiful level k Language arts and math. She is obsessed with the math. So fun. So awesome to see that another little one the same age is doing the same school level.
Oh wonderful!!! Yes! I sometimes feel like he is too young because others are starting later. But he is SO READY for Kindergarten and I have to remember not to compare my kids to other kids. ;) I'm so glad you're enjoying TGTB. Isn't it great?! So simple and natural in their teaching. I'm so happy I found it and that I can share it with other mamas. :)
Yes me too. Comparing is hard not to do. But, she completed the pre-k and K-primer courses. we took 2 months off and then I noticed she was getting bored so I decided to just jump in and start kindergarten. She’s having a lot of fun.
My son is also 4.5 and even though he's cognitively capable of the work I have to work with the wiggles often. He's reading and doing well with the kindergarten earlybird primary standards Singapore Math among other things but I have to respect the fact that he's 4.5 when he needs me to.
I love that math. It’s so hands on and colorful and sweet! I did start the new LA with my young kindergartener as well but I found that she was getting confused with the non decodable sight words that I was trying to teach off of the sight word ladder and the beginner books list...she came from a phonics heavy program before so I think it was confusing for her. She started messing up decodable sounds after that, so I just stopped the sight words. We will see how far we can go holding off on the sight words for now :) tfs! Beautiful year planned!
Yes! The math is so fun! We took a survey today to teach her about graphing. What a fun and practical way to teach. :) Make the curriculum work for you mama! Sounds like you're doing a great job! :)
I love those preschool sticker books. My son is 3 so he's not yet ready but I will probably get one for him when he's a little older. We loved TG&TB LK Math! We use the rekenrek all the time.
Yes! Those books are so fun! :) We love the Math too! Doesn't it teach in such a natural way? Praise God for such a great tool. :) BTW - Your videos on TGTB were one of the ways I found this curriculum. So thank you for being a blessing to my family. :)
Hi Josie! Homeschooling is so amazing but I understand the fear. It can be intimidating. Prayer is the first thing I say to do. Asking God for His will and ultimate peace is how I get through every day. Not just with homeschooling but with everything. :) I also want to encourage you...it really isn't that hard. I have no teaching background but I'm having a blast homeschooling. :) Once you get a feel for it, you'll be able to see how easy it can be. How old are your little ones?
@@PursuingPeace she will be 3. I have a 12 year old daughter and a 11 year old son. I just dont want my baby to go thru and see everything my other 2 have. I just don't know where to start. I would love to pull my older 2 out of public school as well but am extremely afraid to fail them by not teaching them what they need.
Have you checked into The Good & The Beautiful curriculum? It's is so easy to use and it covers pretty much everything you need (except Math for your older two...for that I would try Teaching Textbooks). It's a very easy to use curriculum that helps you teach them to see the good and beautiful things around them. Plus it's very high quality education at not a high price. I highly recommend it! 😁
My daughter is doing the handwriting with out tears Level 1 (yellow book) we like TGTB handwriting book better. It is so much fun and cute I just love tgtb

Please do a video about the books that are for teaching reading. Alot of people use Handwriting without Tears.
The school zone scissor book is now called little hand helper cut and paste.
Yes! Thank you! I figured that out shortly after filming this video. It has a different cover but still the same cute book. Love it! :)
I haven’t seen the beginner books before! We are using Primer K and K for my daughter’s K year.
The Beginner Books are SO GOOD! I have a video reviewing them if you'd like to see inside. 😊

How do you reuse the workbooks that need to be written in or do you buy new workbooks for each child?
Hi Courtney! I buy new books for each child. I found that works better for me instead of trying to print it ever time. :)
