I have done 55,000 kms on my Ford Raptor with the 295/70R17 MT71s and still have 10mm tread left. I have had the MT71s on my previous vehicle (FJ Cruiser fitted with 285/70R17) and when i sold the vehicle the tyres had done about 40,000 km and still had over half tread remaining. . I do a fair amount of bitumen driving to and from work (86 kms a day) but like to get away when i can and do some reasonable off-road work through the Flinders ranges, Terowie, Bendleby ranges etc. The tyres have performed very well in everything I have done so far on and off-road. My son-in-law runs the 35x12.5R18 MT71s on his Y62 and loves the tyre and he does a lot of towing and off-road work. My brother has an FJ Cruiser as well and is now running the MT71 .The mileage returns we are getting are far more that what you have achieved. Noise levels are far from noisy compared to other M/T tyres we have used.as well. Like any M/T tyres, regular cross rotations (5,000 to max 10,000 kms) will help alleviate tyre noise from vehicle induced wear. I have run Kumho KL78, KL71, MT51 and now the MT71 and have had a fantastic run with all of these...so not sure why you have had such an ordinary experience with Kumho

I replaced them at 50% so still around 7mm they definitely didn’t have an easy life with me. I still think they have their place I just have had better runs out of others

Thanks for this, so few reviews of this tire which is mind boggling. Great price, you'd think more people would be trying them. Been going back and fourth for months on getting these or something else. I can't see spending premium money on tires that will age out before they wear out for my uses. I guess I'll end up getting them, I hope they're great for mud.

They are a great mud tyre, and the price is hard to beat

This review of how noisy these tyres are has definitely made me decide to go with a set. I need every bit of help I can to drown out the rattles of the old rodeo 😂

    Appreciate the review!
Having same problem with tyre sizes here.....which is crazy because I only want a standard 31"
Whats the go with wet roads? I thought my razrs were pretty well behaved for a muddie but falkens up there on the danger scale
Look like they have some siping.
Gotta pick a tyre that can handle tassies snow & wet roads

      Thanks mate ✌️
the definitely seemed to hang on to the road regardless of what was going on. I didn’t do any snow with them though.
Tyre supply is definitely funny at the moment. It’s almost easier just to see what’s in stock and go from there atm. These kumhos were available in most places when I was looking to change them.
I’ve just thrown a small set of RAZR ATs on for a new y62 tyre size vid I’m doing. So far I don’t mind them

    Nice review!
Have you tried them in deep mud and clay?

Ouch, your car is super noisy! Maybe try and get it down and make a vid on how to do that? Nature will be thankful.

So far the Nitto trail grappler. But I’m still going to keep using different brands.

Thanks mate ✌️I was a big fan of the nittos when I ran them. I had similar results on the old Fortuner.
