- Injuries to the midfoot joints commonly involve a structure referred to as Lisfranc Joint. Nontreatment of a disruption of this joint frequently results in a collapsed and painful midfoot. Dr. Barei and Dr. Jones compare the treatment results of surgery with primary fusion of the injured joints to results achieved with temporary stabilization.
Get well Chet
My son was told he doesn't need surgery after breaking 4 bones.
Buenos dias, de donde puedo bajar esta material, me intresa para un estudio de la universidad.
On occasion surgery isn’t needed at all. I had a complete avulsion of the Lisfranc ligament, with a 2.3 mm dislocation/gap, no broken bones. I was in a cast for three months, non-weight bearing and I completely healed.
I’m getting surgery I’m sure as HECK not getting drastic fusion. And I’m getting my hardware OUT in a year. If 20 years down the line someone tries fusion why is fixing considered a “failure”?
What were ages?,And mechanism of trauma?
I'm getting a Lisfranc injury go into surgery. U of MD, Baltimore. I'll le t y ou know what happened with me. Plan: I'm a 55 up female.( Had that rectangle. bruise).. plan to hav e permanate pins and hardware. I had 3 falls previous, not sport related but landed on L-5,S-1 and sciatic nerve numb, and feet felt on fire..Then, the nerve pain!!!.
How successful was your surgery?

I’m sorry to hear that. I had surgery 10/19. Recovering has been difficult. I’ve been advised b1 and b6 help with nerve pain
