I thought the Vampire genre was done... I frankly avoided the book based on just the cover(Beautiful cover... but it screamed vamp romance). Then I kept hearing all these rave reviews. I listened to an excerpt and I was like.... OMG I must have this. I raced back to Barned and Noble hoping to find a signed first edition... bought the last one. Amazing book! Sooo good. I am anxious to see the next book.
I was already excited about this book that arrives in the mail Tuesday…but when you said it’s a cross between Interview with the Vampire and Name of the Wind….mic drop…..I am STOKED to read this!

Your review sold me on this book. I'm 60 pages in and already thinking this might be the best book I've read this year. Btw I have regular US first edition and it's signed as well. When I was wondering how is that possible I found that all pre-orders were signed but I didn't pre-order it. When asked on Reddit, someone responded that all first editions are signed. I don't know what's true but if the latter I hope Kristoff won't need a hand transfer from signing so many. After a long while it seems I found a bestseller that isn't overhyped. :)
I actually like the UK version better but that's just me. Just got my copy today and can't wait to start reading this. Jay seems like a cool dude so thought I'd give it a go because of Mike's channel and he actually interviewed Jay so I always think that is nice of the author. I have my fingers crossed this will be good.
Hey Brian I picked up my copy of empire of the vampire a few days ago. I got to be honest I've been on the hunt for a physical copy of your book for a while. I hate shopping at Amazon but I have not been able to find a physical copy of yours in the wild.
It Felt like "Interview" meets "Name of the Wind" meets "The Last Of Us" all in White Wolf's World of Darkness" and I loved every moment of it! 🖤

That's the American cover. We have a less deceiving cover art in Europe at least.
