i think for an actual real world applicable durability test, you guys should do actual powerslides with breaks inbetween, so the polyurethane has time to cool off. right now the cooldown periods are determined by how long you can hang onto the back of the car and the indoor ride test, which isnt consistent across the different products, would be dope to see the durability tests be a little more scientific! still super entertaining to watch tho, u guys rock! test out 86a ricta cloud wheels please!!

You guys are doing great, as always! On a constructive note -since you said you’re focusing on video quality- you should test out (and maybe even review?) some equipment that helps with camera stabilization! They make great, light, small mounts now that would allow Gabe to focus on tracking and framing instead of focusing on keeping things still. (I think I’d be able to watch more of your videos with my wife, but she gets motion sickness and the unpredictable camera movements don’t do her any favors.) Just something to consider!
You guys should try thunder hollow trucks, their what I use on my board and I don’t know if I can can feel a difference between hollows and regular trucks, would be nice to se a test on them!
I got the hint that we’re getting a tensor mag lite video in the future! I know Bev is injured in Europe right now, but they’re the dude that properly does these trucks justice in how easily they grind rough ledges
Spitfire til the day I die!!! Been skating since 12 years old and I'm 37... I've tried them all. Spitfire is just my wheel and you can't convince be otherwise
foot was directly above wheel and board wasn’t letting the wheel spin which forced it to just keep sliding in the same spot the way they resist flat spots is even when you power slide they keep rolling and give and even amount of wear but when the wheel was forced to stop moving the wheel flat spotted
whether you get flatspots or not depends on your slide technique, ie. whether you lock your wheels into a full 90° slide, where they will not rotate and therefore flatspot. OR if you keep your slides under 90° and keep them rotating throughout the slide...... thereby preventing flatspots entirely. it is impossible to flatspot a rotating wheel
That's the secret. That's also how to slide properly doing downhill skateboarding. Nobody does 90 degree slides while going downhill for that reason and of course to not get "stuck" while sliding through a corner
You sure you flat spot your wheel the property way? Not attaching them to the lowest riding point of your Tesla and driving off (ie make em flat) is not the way to go yo
I had always been a Ricta guy myself after getting back into skating in my 20's but as a kid skated alot of Bones or Slimeballs. When recently picked skating up once again in my early 40's I decided to try out OJ's due to all the hype (Made by Santa Cruz/Slimeballs) and have really like the soft Plain Jane's and harder Elites depending type of skating. I had bought several pairs of the new Dragon wheels and still on first pair. Curious what the price is down there for those wheels? I just bought the conical full 55mm 101a formula 4's from Spitfire. They were $74.99 at my local shop in BC Canada.
I am guessing somebody said this somewhere in comments, but just incase. If the trucks were tighter and wheel bite didn't lock them into one spot, they might not have flat spotted.
How to not get flatspots: Stop doing power slides constantly. It's like razor tail at the end of the day if you drag the tail to slow down it bound to happen.
Please help me discover what wheels are best for dusty indoor floors and MDF ramps. Does durometer make a difference or would a really narrow wheel have more pounds per square inch and bite better? Love the vids!
Yeah test the magnesium trucks that grind the chunkiest stuff with no wax. Also it’s be cool to call back to bamboo skateboards to see if they’ve changed up

Of you want trucks that will grind anything then make a titanium base insert. Aluminum is sticky, even a high carbon insert will grind well. All you need is a simple milling machine.
I do a lot of power slides and have never flat spotted formula 4, I think the last wheels I ever flat spotted was them bones 100s I feel them wheels are for when I’m broke and need a cheap set of wheels though
