I dropped like 1200 for a sr4c demon kit and all the goodies to run it. Took it to my local hobby shop and snapped a front cvd axle in less the 5 min. 4 days later got used ascender for 300 and I found myself using my sr4 parts to build up my ascender. I'm really liking it. Good comparison done
I am new to the RC world and really appreciate all your tips and comparisons on setting up my trucks. Have a friend that just gave me his old 1986 Black Foot and the Monster Clod Buster. Looking forward to trying some of your tips in getting better controlling my trucks. By the way I also have the Trasher Jet Boat thanks to watching your videos.

Love those 2 trucks !! I really like how they barely need any upgrades out of the box. You need some rock sliders on the Komodo though your gonna destroy the body :). Waiting until Vatera releases the Ascender Bronco in kit form.
I swear I saw a full scale mudding video with a 1/1 blazer that looks exactly like this. I also think removing foams and a drag brake would make the Komodo a beast.
1992 jeep cherokee on an scx10 chassis. dual motor, 1.9 beadlock no foams just air. aluminum links. also made a duck tape underbody tray? I guess you could call it. it was built the way it is from watching your videos over the years.

Thats a really nice course Medic. great video( I have an Axial SCX-10 CRC edition Jeep setup for my Trail truck with several upgrades & scale addons, A stock Scx-10 Jeep unlimited rubicon that is a work in progress as a half trail truck half crawler that will be my castle sidewinder brushless beast, a Original design Wraith that is comply stock that i have for fun use & a Traxxas Summit full size that i do everything with Crawl, trail , bash. once you commit & put a Summit in your fleet it never leaves i like to say. Traxxas nitro slash never sees the trail just asphalt & grass at high speed.) Love RC Adventures

I just gave Revo 3.3 away to a kid iv had since I was 14 lol switching to electric trying to choose between the gmade Komodo, or the ascender, or scx10 2. or may just get all 3. it's hard to choose. and do all the kits come with better parts like the scx10 2 ? havient found much comparison videos on the others yet.

Very Cool video. I have watched a lot of your adventures. I am wondering if you can advise me on how to program my Hobbypower 320A High Voltage V2 Brushed ESC. I have it in a SCX10 with many mods. The drag break is set at maximum and I want to loosen it up a bit but have no instructions on how to program this unit.
Hey Medic I know this is an old video. Ut what shocks are you running on your ascender in this video? I just added one to the crawler collection and have to do something about the stock shocks! I've got an Axial SCX-10, it's totally awesome, and it's a great crawler. I've also got a Traxxas Bandit which is fast as hell!
I would love an up to date video on the asender... Im going to buy one and would love youre tire and shock set up.
I just got the Komodo and I love the super quiet transmission! New shocks are a must though.

We had a brushless system in Brenda's Komoto and we went with a brushed system so she could gain the drag brake and more control Too.
