I like how you continue to explain things in your videos, even if you've already mentioned it before. It shows that you're here to help the community out : )
A reply to your comment that many people don't really enjoy crawling and trailing - I personally think those kinds of RCing are the most appealing. I have not had the financial opportunity yet to purchase a trail truck, but I can't wait until I finally do. I really enjoy all your videos with the Ascender and Komodo - my 2 favorite trucks!
I don't care about what type of video you post on this channel to me all the videos are great especially the ones with your family in them, they just add more fun to it.
Great looking rig man. Gmade is really holding their own in the trailing/crawling world.. Thanks medic. Another great presentation. Well done as usual. 😊
+RC Tanks & Trucks 24/7 You are pretty amazing you know.. always here, commenting on my films. Thank you for taking the time to come by and support. I appreciate it :) Glad to know the films are giving you a smile !
+RCSparks Studio Gives me more than a smile Any. Inspires me to try and better my videos on my channel with quality content. I always smile and am happy whenever I see those pallets I sent being used in the studio and videos. My small contribution to your awesomeness :)
so true ! it's so much fun to challenge the truck and your driving abilities . the gratification one feels after conquering such a challenge is pure bliss ! lol! i know of speed demons who thought crawling and trailing was boring, till they tried it ! they now love it . he! he! he! fantastic vid !
I have to agree with what you said with the scale crawling/trailing..anyone that's curious about it should defiantly get into it. its a huge challenge . im always down by the rivers picking hard technical lines thew rocks letting the mud fly when ya hit the pits and the hillclimbs on loose shale is a great time. Thumbs up for the venom !!
i ALWAYS get exited over rock crawling, even rc rock crawling my dad takes me with him on a couple of trails at johnson valley(like if you've been there) and it makes me feel so jumpy and excited
+Dave Cooper I agree Dave, it is very technical. Especially when you start setting up markers and restricted areas. Trying to make it through a course can be nerve wracking and extremely fun! That's part of the reason I do videos like this - to showcase how many avenues of the Radio Control hobby there are. Thanks for commenting!
***** Santa is hopefully bringing me one of those mini 4 wheel steer crawlers and so I'll be able to crawl around the sofa!😀 It's great when you explain the thought processes and how to tackle a given situation. Keep it up because what you do is entertaining, informative and great fun. You must have one of the best jobs in the world, come to think of it.
You know Medic, I'm always tired when I'm watching TH-cam but your videos seem to keep my attention and keep me interested. All in all your probably the best rc TH-camr out there in my opinion 👍👍
Love your videos, this one too. Love the energy you put into it and the atmosphere and ambience with the bonfire and all. Great crawl! Truck is surprisingly capable despite being gimped a bit by those scale bumpers. Very nice looking rig.
+utrak Thanks my friend! Yes, I try to make the series as warm and inviting as I can. The RC Hobby sure is vast, and with the right atmosphere, can be enjoyed in all different types of weather. Thanks for commenting !
+rolexr Nice to see you again Rolexr!! Missed you around here.. I figured you guys would be as cold as I was if I didnt light a fire to keep us all warm :)
Awesome rock crawling Medic, that was some fine techniques you have there bro. You really know your RC stuff. It's good to have someone very knowledgable in RC and to go to for advise.
+Noeys fastrc Well thank you so much! I do my very best to keep viewers in the action with me, so I pass on as much as possible :) RC is such an awesome hobby, and a great community! Thank you for commenting
Late night frozen roads and one little mini revo on a 2 cell with TSM up half way. 👊😎 This Tbone chassis 4 piece is really holding up and the mini summit tires really make this thing a little beast. Thank you Sir. For the inspiration and knowledge in abundance. I now have sound Solid RC cars. With all the help and ideas found here and there watching these videos. Peace man enjoy RC's always 🙂❤️
+Scott Elenbaas Thank you Scott. I learned over the years of filming that watching a truck climbs is cool and all - but it certainly helps to know what the driver is thinking, while they are traversing a course. Im glad it has helped you learn a bit :) thank you for commenting
I really like that little Komodo, maybe not as popular as the Scx10 but it still performs . All the scale details, really are nice add ons that other manufacturers don't give you . Great crawl man !!!!
+Joel Sanford I have been very pleased with this truck so far, (thankfully) I havent broken a single thing on it yet! The mirrors are pinned on, and rotate when friction is applied - and like you said, the scale accessories are awesome! Makes it really look beast, right out of the box :)
+RCSparks Studio I agree brother , hopefully the innovation from G-made will continue. The rotating mirrors is a nice feature. Your convincing me on my next crawler purchase hahaha, capable rig!
Another Great video man, Now I have been into RC hobbies since 1985 and I love all RC hobbies and by watching your channel that's how I got introduced and seen for the 1st time Crawling and I now love it, I own 2 Axial's and also by watching your channel got me to buy my most recent RC my pride and joy my LOSI 5IVE-T with AVC. So by watching your channel I'm learning still as I go even after doing this hobby this long, So Thanks Medic love what you do 2 Big Thumbs Up, RC All Day Everyday !!
+Shayen RC Enthusiast. HEY! Right on! That is super cool to know. You certainly an RC Addict, through and through! Crawling is such a neat area of the hobby.. and usually.. very technical, with less broken parts. When all my other gear is busted, I can always get out a crawler and still enjoy the outdoors! Thanks for commenting :)
cheers for getting back i am still new to your site i will look out for them i have previously run a cc01 and scx10 dingo to start with and slowly upgraded them and i found them bullet proof when done .look forward to your nxt vid
I am amazed at how well the tires are gripping. Never gave them a chance on my build and put on a set of Trepadors I had. As for the stock shocks, the trick is the 4 hole pistons with 20 wt silicone oil. Very smooth (should have added teflon tape to the threads to stop leaks though. Overall I am super impressed with the Gmade Komodo kit. Buy a stainless screw set and you are golden.

what a great run on the track...thumbs up bro :-))
so, im new as well, but I still want some speed. I used to sc10 and a 1/8 losi buggy. I ordered a wraith today and cant wait to get into it. thaks for all the vids and info.
Redcat Everest 10 is a great starter crawler ready to run with battery and out the door 150 nice truck so nice I bought two and gave them the Good old west coast custom make over hehe
Nice video and good crawling. That truck looks a lot like your 1:1 scale Ford. 7:27 EPIC! I hate to go off topic but I am coming up from Indiana to help setup a horse complex west of Calgary next summer. Going to be up there from 3/16 to 9/16. Are there any open parks or areas that I could run my 5iveT or my Wraith?
+Derick Miles Sure man.. just write me again - March and April are still pretty cold around here.. not alot open.. but in May/June.. things will be buzzing!
hi love the new vid .i was just wondering if you ever thought about making a vid on a budget setup for people who havent got a great deal of money but are realy interested in scale crawling . ive been doing it for the last 2 year and love it nothing better than getting out there all the best to you and the family liam
+Liam Crawford I certainly have! In fact, we have done several over the years. The only problem for me, is that they dont hold up to the abuse my rigs go through.. and people end up being disappointed. So, I left a few vids up on budget rigs.. and then moved on to types of rigs I prefer. Good comment!
+Collin Dudley yes the scx10 dead bolt i know is good. im new to crawling its very easy to drive its easy to maintain its a great truck they can take a beating. unless your doing super hardcore off roading you don't even need to upgrade the suspension or links. I rolled mine down a huge hill that was almost vertical and super tall it rolled to the bottom and all i did was bend 2 sway arms (plastic) axial sent a huge bag of parts with it containing 2 new ones and i just bent the old back and they both work great like they were never bent.. the trans case i recommend up grading to a vanquish aluminium case because it has too much torque for the plastic
I too have the deadbolt! I highly recommend it. Great starter RC. I have upgraded tons on mine and still have more to do. But really it's all up to you what you want to do. I love mine
medic to get better traction with my scx10 I have 1.9 super swamper boggers no foams 110mm kings or a knock off not sure. I have the springs in the front but not the back because both shock loosened up and the springs fell of the shocks and shock oil went with it. love the look of the flex but it flips alot my hard body is getting beat it's more glue that anything any ideas thanks
Hey Medic is the Komodo a good rig to build a scale truck out of? Or should I go with an rc4wd chassis?. Also I have an axial deadbolt that I was thinking about stripping down and using that for a scale build also. but I wanted your thoughts on it:)
+Cody Ogden It could be.. are you speaking of the grease you added to the axles and transmission? I always do a seasonal clean up of my trucks.. and grease appropriately for the weather. When its cold.. I use verrrrry little.
***** okay thanks i cleaned my axles out just put a vanquish transmission case on it so it is good for the winter what grease do you use? thanks for all your professional advice
I love RC cars and in the past have had all kinds of battery and nitro fuel models. The one thing that spoils the scale of these models for me sometimes is that they don't move slow enough in some instances, and when making films as good as Medic does here especially using large trucks or crawling etc, this really show up and it's not realistic. For instance in real life driving you don't just engage first gear then take off.. You have a clutch to get you going from 0MPH and if you wish you can use that clutch to continue at 1MPH if you wish. I understand that even when using a digital motor controllers erc that a motor still needs a certain voltage to start to spin, but this could be overcome using either a tiny gearbox or even a type of slipper clutch. I feel that this would make the likes of crawling, trucking, works machinery etc seem sooo much more realistic.
+orbiter8 (John) That is the beauty of RC.. you can setup your rigs to suit your driving and mental image needs! Then again, we are just goofing around having some fun :)
+orbiter8 (John) That isn't actually true. There are RC's with a more than scale minimum speed and many that can move VERY slowly like the truck displayed in this video. Throttle control on these vehicles is just like the control you have in your own.
Your channel made me appreciate slow RC'ING more. I was once all about speed. I enjoy all aspects now!!! Thanks bro!!

I love the look of those kings
Awesome job my friend Medic.
I like the way you talk your self thru the climb and what and why you are doing it. It helps me learn to hear it not just see it I'm new to the sport
+Scott Elenbaas Thank you Scott. I learned over the years of filming that watching a truck climbs is cool and all - but it certainly helps to know what the driver is thinking, while they are traversing a course. Im glad it has helped you learn a bit :) thank you for commenting

+Marcel Celliers Thanks my friend! Happy RC'ing to you!

you know how to enjoy live , great watching your movies...............do you have video about e maxx , witch i love.
I really enjoy crawling/rock crawling, as you said people don't appear to like it much. but I can't rc really because of snow... it sucks lol
I think some scale skid plates would be awesome.
+BIGBROWN138 and an exhaust pipe :)
+RCSparks Studio yes lol those would be awesome together.
Gonna get to a million quickly😆👍
Don't worry about the little bit of dirt on tires. Prob. help if it's as icy as you say.
Nice video and good crawling. That truck looks a lot like your 1:1 scale Ford.
7:27 EPIC!

Yes thats my biggest concern. I really don't like the cold much lol. I was hoping it started to warm up in March like it does here.
Derick Miles Ohhh,,, yikes, I have seen snow as late as June.. haha ;) Bundle up!
+RCSparks Studio Oh man don't tell me that. Guess I better start looking for snow chains :)
Derick Miles We usually have 1 BiG snow dump in May, that only lasts on the ground for about 4 days.. other then that .. you're good! ;)

I was very apposed to the crawling and trail truck thing until I started watching your vids I'm gonna buy a wraith asap lol thanks medic
You're the man! Remember - a lot of the rules we live by are self imposed. Get outside and have fun with RC - no matter the style!
can you put link to the purchase of car i am trying to find the lowest price
*****
suggestions for a decent trail rig for a beginner on a budget?
7:31 🔥 R.I.P.
Hey Aaron,
Did you sand the inside of the lexan body before painting..??
Thanks
Compared to axial ripsaw, the komodo's tire seem stiff and not that sticky. Do you agree?
Also, how is the back-mounted battery doing for you?
nice video
You should add a bridge made out of different size and textures logs somewhere in your crawler corse
Love the video would you recommend the deadbolt for a first crawler (I have a slash)
+Collin Dudley yes the scx10 dead bolt i know is good. im new to crawling its very easy to drive its easy to maintain its a great truck they can take a beating. unless your doing super hardcore off roading you don't even need to upgrade the suspension or links. Almost one million lol
almost, can't wait for 1m
+Ricardo Fontes same
1.4mil now lol
could you let me know what the wheel base is for this rig please
live the video
At that rate the bumpers will just rub off! lol
That is sweet
Lol, I was sitting in class when that snow hit, we were like what the, and then it was gone.
Oh calgary
+Pavel Lagun Yeah, it kept going.. Hit my place, and poured for 15 minutes.. then POOF.. gone as soon as it arrived.. haha ;)
are those stock wheels and tires and what mods have you done to it? looking at picking up one
As a trail truck which do you like better?! The SCX10 The Ascendor or The Komodo?!
medic to get better traction with my scx10 I have 1.9 super swamper boggers no foams 110mm kings or a knock off not sure. I have the springs in the front but not the back because both shock loosened up and the springs fell of the shocks and shock oil went with it. love the look of the flex but it flips alot my hard body is getting beat it's more glue that anything any ideas thanks
I'm thinking about getting this for Christmas so I want to know what kind of electrics it has and remote and receiver please
Awesome :D
de mais,parabens... mande um "olá" pra mim no proximo video, irei ficar muito feliz 👍
Hey Medic is the Komodo a good rig to build a scale truck out of? Or should I go with an rc4wd chassis?. Also I have an axial deadbolt that I was thinking about stripping down and using that for a scale build also. but I wanted your thoughts on it:)
I'm looking for a starter trail truck/crawler recommendations
hey on your last video you said by my issues with my scx10 my esc is getting hot. could it becaused by the grease i use being too think in the cold?
+Cody Ogden It could be.. are you speaking of the grease you added to the axles and transmission? I always do a seasonal clean up of my trucks.. and grease appropriately for the weather. When its cold.. I use verrrrry little.

is it ok to run a 11.1v lipo in this truck? it says 7.2 nimh or 7.4 lipo, but the esc says 11.1?
