Fred Astaire movies centred ballroom dancing, although there is tap in them. Maybe if you showed a clip of Fred Astaire we would’ve seen that. He is the perfect build for Astaire though.
Mmm so satisfying, thanks Ellie! My family used to accuse me of "OCMD" (obsessive-compulsive movie disorder) though you show Gene Kelly when saying Fred Astaire
There are a few of these I didn’t even know were being made. I’m pumped that Mortal Kombat is getting a sequel. I’m intrigued about the Naked Gun reboot. And I can’t wait to see Tom Holland dance his little butt off. Seriously everyone. Watch his Lip Sync Battle. I don’t even watch that show, but his routine is epic.
If anything they should have like one joke in the movie where someone Leslie Nielsen's him and him name-drops him BUT that's about it, reference, reverence but make your own thing
Believe me, I know some casting directors are amazing at their jobs. But few roles are as good as the ones written (well) with the person cast having been the person in mind while writing. For instance, aside from his humors and visual style, Wes Anderson is notorious for writing these roles. Ralph Fiennes in Grand Budapest. Bill Murray in Life Aquatic. He wrote a retirement worthy role for Gene Hackman in The Royal Tenenbaums, unfortunately that’s not how it turned out…. Fn mooseport
HBO missed the mark by not casting Sophia Lillis as Ellie in The Last Of Us TV Series. Nothing against Bella Ramsey she's a perfectly capable actor, I just feel Lillis would have been a better fit for Ellie.
Liam Neeson has a movie coming out. A movie? What is it? It's a series of fast moving photographs that tell a story... But that's not important right now.
I would say editing is the poorly understood aspect of great moving making. Casting is massively important, but a great cast can't save a poorly edited movie. I recently watched Heaven's Gate. A solid cast and an interesting story. The main problem is in the editing. There is likely a good movie hiding in the miles of film stock used. The problem is finding the needle in the piles of horse manure that is Heaven's Gate.
Nikki Cox as Nikki White In Nikki Her Turn In Unhappily Ever After was the perfect launching pad for this project despite her questionable Acting Chops
@patrickdoyle6201 that doesn't make you an A list actor. An A list actor is an actor who can lead his own film without a machine behind him. MCU films are machines, even without Tom, they still make would make a billion.
Thank you for proving my point . She didn't become the silver surfer 20 years after..... it not multiverse crap as we know and in the comics norrin is the one who faces the fantastic 4. Why oh why are you showing clips of Gene Kelly and not Fred Astaire sorry I love your videos but really it not hard to research
Kelly and Astaire have different dancing styles too. If Holland dances like Kelly, it's gonna be bad.
You said basically what I was going to say. I was watching the video and kept say "That's Gene Kelly!" Both from Singin In The Rain.
@@nkcjulieI think Whatculture's editor just got the wrong footage
Only reason I just got phone out whilst watching this on TV 😂. Oops!
I thought same thing
Most of the footage you used for Fred Astaire was actually Gene Kelly. 😂
@whatculture tell me you don't know who Fred Astaire was ...
You mention a Fred Astaire biopic and show clips of Gene Kelly. At least you didn't mispronounce his name like you do so many others.
How else could it be pronounced?
@@SnailLordNeonhe said they didn’t mispronounce it
What if I told you they do it on purpose, because they know it will increase the amounts of comments they get on the vid
@@SnailLordNeonthroatwobbler mangrone is the correct pronunciation...Teddy Baby for short 🍺🍻
Neeson’s ‘checkout’ scene in “Ted” was deadpan comedic gold!
Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly are two different people. Come on, guys!!
It's actually painful that you showed two clips of GENE KELLY for a Fred Astaire reference.
Billy Zane is the perfect choice for Marlon Brando. He really needs this comeback and I hope the film is great.
Fred Astaire movies centred ballroom dancing, although there is tap in them.

He is the perfect build for Astaire though.
The Naked Qui-Gon
Y Gene Kelly and not Fred?
If you want a sneak peak of Tom Holland in that role check out his Lip Sync Battle performance
Wherein he starts out lip syncing to Singing in the Rain, which is, again, a Gene Kelly movie. *rofl*
@@nixeleth If they were going to show a bunch of clips of Gene Kelly it's a crime not to mention the time Tom Holland "played" Gene Kelly.
Tom Holland looks like Fred Astaire about as much as Samuel L Jackson looks like Fred Astaire
Billy Zane wow he looks like Brando and he's a great actor
Mmm so satisfying, thanks Ellie! My family used to accuse me of "OCMD" (obsessive-compulsive movie disorder) though you show Gene Kelly when saying Fred Astaire
You lot do know that Fred Astaire was not the star of Singin' In The Rain, don't you?
I'm confused, is the movie about Fred Astaire or Gene Kelly?
So is Tom Holland playing Fred Astair or Gene Kelly?
OMG Liam Neeson in Naked Gun. I am there. What is up with the Gene Kelly clips? Oops like 10 of us had the same comment.
I'll give you two examples, Nicholas Cage as Longlegs and Alicia Witt as Ruth from Longlegs. Those two were perfectly cast.
Maybe if the video were titled "People who were perfectly cast in Longlegs." 😁
Bring on the Zane-a-saunce!!
Liam Neeson in a Naked Gun film? Sign me up, right away!
Ellie brightening up an othwerwise dismal sunday evening

If they ever make a movie about the Monty Python troupe they should cast Ralph Ineson as Graham Chapman.

JUST heard .... its Liam Gleeson not Liam Neeson in the naked gun film !! ahhhh those clip/script mix ups!!
That’s Gene Kelly.

Kristen Stewart as Joan Jet.. perfect.

Yeah, I loved that show too. But this clip is about "upcoming movies", not "sitcoms that were cancelled 20 years ago".
List like this aren’t to backfire smh
Gene Kelly isnt Fred Astaire.

Sorry, but Glenn Powell only looks and acts like Johnny Cage in Top Gun Maverick. It should have been him and not Urban.

Jon Hamm obviously should have been cast as Frank Drebin Jr for The Naked Gun reboot.
Johnny Cage at 60 is good casting. Lol.
