മൂന്നു ദിവസം ഞങ്ങൾ പെരിയാർ ഹൗസിൽ താമസിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. Nilgiri Langur, Giant flying squirrel, മുള്ളൻപന്നി, കാട്ടുകോഴി, ചെമ്പൻ മുള്ളൻകോഴി, Gaur, കാട്ടുപന്നി, മ്ലാവ്, മലയണ്ണാൻ... എല്ലാം അടുത്തു കണ്ടു.നേരം ഇരുട്ടിയാൽ ആ റോഡിലൂടെ നടക്കുന്നത് safe അല്ല. കരടി (sloth bear ) ഉള്ള സ്ഥലമാണ്.അപകടകാരിയാണ്. അതുപോലെ തന്നെ കാട്ടുപോത്തും. നിങ്ങൾ കാണിച്ചത് മണ്ടത്തരമാണ്. ഭാഗ്യം കൊണ്ട് ഒന്നും സംഭവിച്ചില്ല എന്നു മാത്രം.
