Technically these are amateurs (being college kids) but that's straight-up professional-level foxtrotting right there. Every one of them should be hitting the competitive dance circuit after they graduate.

Why? Because it's what Hermine teaches Harry? I think their dance looked a bit different and a lot less polished and professional than that. Are you a German A-level student or did you actually read the thing just for fun? (Or is there some other connection between Hesse and Foxtrot that I don't know about?)
Real Modern Western Square Dancing, (as it's done by hobbyists as opposed to middle schoolers who want nothing to do with it) is really, really fun! If I'd known they did this at 'The Y", I'd have gone to UT to University instead of staying in Toronto, Canada for my 3 degrees including my Masters... which was lonely and hard work. One night off per month for 7 years of education... no time to date or socialize. I just worked. No guys in the singles program where I attended church, no singles program, and no social life. Had I known, I would have switched location for my EDU!

My parents love to dance they did the foxtrot the Jitterbug you name it they weren't professionals but they sure did enjoy it they're both gone now but I have very fond memories of watching my mom and dad dance my Dad tried to teach me but unfortunately I inherited the two left feet Factor LOL

Have you thought about - Miyyan Wenacob Bulldozer (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is a smashing exclusive guide for learning the rumba and other popular ballroom dances without the headache. Ive heard some super things about it and my work buddy finally got great success with it.

Embrace it. That's the most classical manly manly moves out there. Men need to go back to this gent style, without the sexism of the era off course. But I'd rather dance to this all day in a pink suit than listen to a second of tekashi 69
@@nicolassalazar457 Oh the gay part wasn't bothering me, I am gay. It's the very... traditional, strict, straight sort of vibe that I don't like. You know, the snobbish attitude. But you can easily get around that, usually, and then it's very fun :)
The basic foxtrot is back back side together, but there is so much more to it. That's just baby beginners. When you get up to bronze it goes back side together with lots of turns. In silver it's just step step step step. So there is so much more to foxtrot than people learn on just a beginner's lesson.
I mean, that's a different thing than just dancing foxtrot what they're doing there. It's a choreographed performance, intended to look good in a big hall with lots of professional dancers. And it does look good, but there's nothing wrong with your everyday simple amateur foxtrot, just for fun, spontaneous and in jeans without the fancy ballgown. It's all foxtrot and it's all wonderful.

That's American Foxtrot formation dancing at it's best. Year in and year out BYU wins most of the big team competitions.

Your right. They aren't doing the Foxtrot. This is more like a chorus line than ballroom. Still it looks nice,just wrong title.
