I set up a ghoul hunting team similar to yours, went to catacombs, the VERY first fight I get truthed and an Otekh spawns!!! Mind blown completely, barely make it with massive stress and one hero paranoid... Decide to continue, get halfway through, thinking about bailing, then push on one more room and I finally get her to spawn, and she BAILS ON ME HALFWAY THROUGH???
@@sansenoy You mean she run away? On what round? I fight her couple times and killed her before round 6 usually. If your fight took longer, that might be a reason. Did you get a trinket reward in the end? And you can avoid fighting Otekh by looking on the enemy class. If it's mimic, then it has "stonework?" in the list.

She was roughly at one third health, she just ate a smaller ghoul for about 100hp, got to about 50%, smacked me once and just escaped, no loot... I think it was less than 6 turns, I'm not sure if it said she scampered off like the smaller ones, it was something else. I was so blindsided at the moment, i was just expecting a stomp attack or something... I've seen the stonework? tags before and completely ignored them as time went on. I was totally in the blind when that thing came out, holy cow...
Went on an expedition to the treasury, with a pretty nice team as well, and got truthed on my first fight. Well, I wasn’t fighting any more cactuses, and even the rest of the normal fights were hard.
Usually yes, if your heroes are strong, they can reach 100 hp mark, even on the first mission level 1 hellion deals 80 hp sometimes. Heroes in this video had buffs from curios too and crusader has additional bonus against unholy enemies with his Smite and Holy Lance skills.
@@theoutergod8666 You asking about 80 damage? I rewatched my first mission video, her Bleed Out damage is 26-53 after a camping buffs and Enrage skill, so critical would be 79. If the enemy was bleeding, that would be even more. With more positive quirks and buffs, you can reach 200+ damage per hit on one hero in the party. I'll make a video about it in a week or so.

Maybe because I've yet to lose a trinket? I've been playing very slowly and cautiously, mostly at work

he forgot to mention that the HP and damage values of everything has been doubled for easier fine tuning

Other than fairweather faster quirk, I don’t know how to get any other specific quirks, how do you do it?
so the gimmick on this mod is to use Honing Oil on every fight?
+15 damage against PROT enemies is quite useful, but you can win without it, just a little slower.

The hero becomes Frantic - every non-killing move adds horror and knocks 1 position back.

Yes, but you won't deal that much damage at the start of campaign. You may receive that much, though.

Yeah, there will be lots of them if you infected with Ghoul Plague, but even without it, you have a chance to face them in champion level dungeons.
