- Con solo 23 años, la joven cantante de jazz Samara Joy es la gran triunfadora del Mundo del Jazz en la última gala de los premios Grammy, al haber ganado el premio a la “Mejor artista nueva” del año 2022, y su segundo disco “Linger Awhile” ha ganado también el premio al “Mejor Álbum vocal de jazz”.
Descendiente de una familia de músicos, pues sus abuelos paternos fueron los fundadores del grupo de gospel de Filadelfia The Savettes y su padre toca el bajo como músico profesional, Samara Joy es hoy la gran estrella del Jazz Vocal de su generación; de ella ha dicho la directora de cine Regina King que “es una joven que parece que Sarah Vaughan y Ella Fitzgerald vivan en su cuerpo”.

At just 23 years old, the young jazz singer Samara Joy is the great winner of the World of Jazz at the last Grammy Awards gala, having won the award for “Best New Artist” of the year 2022, and his second album “Linger Awhile” has also won the award for “Best Jazz Vocal Album”.
Descendant of a family of musicians, since her paternal grandparents were the founders of the Philadelphia gospel group The Savettes and her father plays bass as a professional musician, Samara Joy is today the great Vocal Jazz star of her generation; Film director Regina King has said of her that "it seems that Sarah Vaughan and Ella Fitzgerald live in the body of this young woman."

I don't know that I've ever been moved so much by an artist. The likes of Miss Sarah Vaughn and Miss Ella Fitzgerald were not part of my generation for the most part, so to have such a grand talent in the early stages pf her career is just a blessing for me. Thankful to be along for such a journey.

¿Se grabó con un móvil?, de 100 Hz hacia abajo poco; pero un nivel como 7 u 8 db. más bajo que los conciertos habituales del canal (no he medido, igual es más todavía).
Una pena porque Samara es una joya.
Estaba un poco más bajo de lo normal el nivel de mi equipo; pero 4 o 5 db, más bajo de lo normal sí que estará y más pobre de frecuencias abajo también.

The sound quality is useless !! .......How come so many sound people just don't have a clue !! . They obviously are not musicians !! The volume of the bass is far too low !! and the rest of the balance is just wrong !! What a shame because I'm sure it was a great concert !! Somara is amazing. !!
It seems so many sound people have a hearing disorder.
Buy a ticket and go see the show. You might just get the sound you're looking for!
I did !!......I saw her perform live in Dublin Ireland a couple of weeks ago and she was brilliant !! ......but the sound quality there left a lot to be desired also. If I was the bass player, I'd be extremely disappointed that I couldn't be heard properly by the audience !!.......not her fault though, but the fault of the nature of the venue ( very high ceiling ) and the sound production.
