The box on the back passenger side actually holds an air compressor! Also, the Generator is gas powder using the fuel from a 30 gallon tank and can be refilled from the onboard 30 gallon tank at the rear. It also comes equipped with a 12vt Residential style Fridge as well as a solar panel with a Lithium Ion battery already installed.
Hell yeah! That and a high efficiency pressure washer is something I've been thinking of adding to our toy hauler when we purchase. Plus pre installed E Track another win. What is the season rating?
Question JD, I know most of the lower bed/ seating in the garage areas are removable to increase height for taller toys does this one have that same option. Great video thank you finally one that is just about perfect. 👍🏻👍🏻
We love this unit and it is on our radar for our next rig. We took a tour of their facility and it was so fun. The people who are part of the Alliance family are incredibly nice. We joined their facebook page and am constantly impressed with how often Bill (head of customer service) chimes in, takes feedback or helps resolve issues. I wonder if he ever sleeps he is so quick to respond and help. Can’t wait to own an Alliance!
Supposedly they’re taking feedback back from the Tampa show. They’re extending the peninsula or putting a drop down counter in. As well as multiple options for washer and dryer. The 2nd location will be in the garage. The Valor units are also set up with 12volt for a majority of the unit. The garage door is also weather proof unlike other manufacturers.
Yeah, my personal preference is to put the washer/dryer in the garage where there's plenty of room, and free up some (always much-needed) space in the bedroom.
My fiance and I just bought this exact model down in Ontario Canada. We're going tiny and figured this was the best route to bring our dirtbikes and toys with us.
Another Great review. Thank you. One thing you missed is on the curb side in the back you called it a storage compartment. That compartment holds an air compressor to air up you tires for your toys.
I really liked that Toy Hauler. I'm glad your back showing them. And I like the 13 Foot Garage. Have a Motorcycle and 4X4 Four Wheeler to go in there. 👍👍🇺🇸
This doesn't even look like a normal toy hauler when you first walk in. I love the kitchen, 1/2 bath, and whole layout. Wish washer and dryer were in the rear! Thank you for always doing an awesome job in presenting it!!!
That's a nice rig. I still think all of the toy hauler's half bathrooms should be wet baths so you can rinse off after a long day of off roading without glgoing though your nice living area
Thanks for the review. Some things I thought of.... the steps going off of the patio are not in an ideal location given the support cable. Would prefer the steps go off of the far end of the patio. I'm speculating that part of the reason for the washer dryer placement is also weight distribution? Hopefully the dryer can be vented easily. The cable driven slide with the fridge and sofa in it would be a concern. Alliance is a brand that usually seems to really hit the mark on a lot of items though.
JD I’m hoping Alliance will be the manufacturer that will listen to your advice and build a floorplan like you have been suggesting. Same length toy hauler just with an 8ft garage. It’s my dream design. Alliance has a facebook group which they are very active on and have asked for suggestions from the public.
I just had to basically re-build many systems on a brand new alliance 31. This unit should have never left the dealers lot or the factory. Alliance called me to make everything right and their motto is believable Do what's right. I think. anyway new slide arms, new under belly new bedroom slide, rebuild the bed and all of the trim plus bulb seals throughout . No grinding at all and sent everything we needed asap. Granted sometimes worker are rushed and sh*t happens but they are a new company and everything I've seem is top tier all the way. Plus just great folks who want their customers to be happy with the product no matter what.
I didn't read all the comments but the generator is a gasoline style with a 30 gal tank. Plus a 30 gal tank for toys.. which you could actually use the other to run..60 gallons for generator.
They are close to building a winner IMHO, they need Moreryde IS option, Full Body Paint option, Fisher Paykel DW option, and an option to reallocate garage space to living space, as has been suggested. I personally only care about room for my Motorcycle, 9 feet is plenty. Even in a small garage you can have smaller drop down bunks, couch table combo. They are definitely headed in the right direction with their use of 12 volt, solar, and LI from factory. Now give customer option to add solar, LI, and larger charge controllers, inverters from the factory to compliment what is a good start. All 4 of their Valors use garage space wisely, ie no bathroom taking up garage, or Washer/Dryer looking ridiculous and taking up garage space. They have also nailed it with the 42v13, 2 patios, access, functionality...now offer me the option to add necessary full timer goodies as mentioned above and I am in. PS....tell them to use better glue,😉
Alliance comes standard with 2x 320watt solar panels, 40amp charge controller, and a 100ah lithium battery from Renology. Their solar plus package adds 1x 320watt solar panel for 3x320watt panels total, 2 more lithium for a total of 3x 100ah batteries, a 3k inverter, a bigger charge controller, and 90% of the outlets in the RV are connected to the inverter as well.
Kind of a low GVWR compared to my Voltage, 20k. I like the w/d prep in the bedroom and shower with the fold up seat. The Range is awesome too. I just like more water. My Voltage has 160. If Alliance can match Voltage, they may be my next TH.
For future reviews, those "tie down connections" are officially called "E-Track". Makes it much easier to purchase the actual equipment that mates with it.
Well you got my attention now....I am a Grand Design Momentum Guy right now. But I really like what I see there...13ft garage works for us...with a quad and big touring motor cycle...we fit back there. The only thing I wasn't big on was the cable slides. I'm going to watch again because I didn't see a awning. I just read up on there mission statement and read the Bio on the Management staff. Pretty impressive.....thanks BT BRV
Cable slides are actually pretty nice nowadays. Plus they are easier and cheaper to repair if you have an issue. They have two awnings on the side that covers almost the full length. Plus with the patio package there is one out the back as well.
The fact that they did include a very large backsplash and very long extended backsplash impresses me , and that it was stainless steel as well. Might’ve been a time factor on the glue as they were installing it and they didn’t get the backsplash on quick enough...not a big deal. The definitely get credit for putting one where it belongs, and making it extend clear to the bottom of the cupboards is smart as well because Grease splatters quite a distance, nothing worse than seeing a backsplash that’s 1 foot high behind the stove it’s practically worthless good , Job alliance
Agree w/you on the indoor dining area...large family area, and the 13'/8' idea, plus 40lpg's..the mfg. Should pay you a cut for those great options....great videos...🏜😎
I tow mine with a Chevy 2500 Duramax. This TH travels very well, and does not feel unsafe. However, my next truck will be a dually for overall safety. But you can get by in a SRW. Airbags would help keeping your headlights level, as there is a decent amount of squat.
MSRP is 15000 less than I guessed! This is a floor plan I really like! Only changes I would make is ditch the corkboard and regain that storage. And I can't believe I am going to say this find a way to center the TV with the seating area. JD enlighten me on the need for thick baggage doors? The thicker they are the heavier they are and more storage you loose. I realize we are talking only a few pounds and cubic inches but every bit helps and I am sure they cost substantially more.
Thin, light doors are significantly less durable and lower in insulating the basement area. They flex and bend and can break or be forced open much easier, especially if something shifts while traveling and hits the door. Also, if you're stuffing your basement storage so full that the thickness of the doors I'd a factor, then it's time to reevaluate what is in there.
We are really liking this model for a full time living situation. We love the epoxy countertops and the 12 volt fridge. But now that we've seen your new RV, I want that master bath door to be changed out to swing out like what you did.
Agree on the shorter garage area... would also be nice if they put a dinette where the TV is and just put the TV above the dinette. Don't need the fireplace... or find a different spot for it.
I like this better than I like the Momentum. The small storage that is in back actually is a compressor and I think an outdoor shower. I remember pricing it somewhere in the upper 70’s too. About the same as the Momentum M class MSRP . BTRV does a great video on how they price these things. A must see video.
I agree 100% that an eight foot garage would be perfect. Not everyone has side by sides and most of us want to be able to use the garage for other things besides toys. But the toy hauler gives you the "party deck" for better views and so on. Plus, like you said, gives back to the living area and maybe a dinette.
You give very comprehensive reviews ,I enjoy your informative input, one thing ,it would be nice if you close the door when entering,it is still noisy, you always leave it open ,plus it would be nice to observe and compare how much highway noise each one filters out, thankyou
I would love to see RV manufactures build in side hinges when it comes to doors like the wet bay/ storage area when the door can not be folded up completely. I find it annoying to have to bend over and lean in to do anything. I have the same situation on my Open Range front left storage compartment.
Saw these at Tampa. IMO the only flaw is the Washer Dryer in the bedroom. As a FT I need the closet space and want the W/D in the garage. Other than that Alliance does well in both regular 5th wheels and the Toy Haulers. Great Review!!!
Myself I like the larger garage as I want to use as a “kennel” for my dogs that I show and breed. I would rather have a booth or table and chairs in the kitchen area. I really would like to see this one in person. I would like options to take the couches in the back out and the stairs off the back to be like the front stairs. I would also like to know if a full second bath is available.
Personally with a triple axle toy hauler I prefer to have the washer/dryer in the garage, not the front of the rig. As well, I would want more storage under the floor since if I bought a toy hauler for full timing I would use the garage as an office and thus need the storage space elsewhere. As well, like you stated, I would prefer to have somewhere to eat inside near the kitchen. I like the layouts with a table. Overall, nice rig.
They need to have the same bathroom and bedroom set up as our grand design solitude 384 arthritis in our legs. We would buy this unit in a heartbeat but need to get into the bathroom in the am when we cannot walk. Need to hold onto the countertop
I love the L shape. However, the kitchen is lacking storage. Would love to see them take a cabinet to the right of the stove maybe to almost the wall for cutting board/cookie tray storage. Extending the peninsula is nice. Also make the cork board an option. With lacking cabinets I would need all my pantry.
Man I am so stuck on which I should buy. 5th wheel, I like the toy haulers for a computer room, but hate having to get out of a truck to go into bed. I am also looking at a Prevost, a little remodling I could have a big enough area behind passenger seat for gaming and streaming
Very nice toy hauler, and another spot-on review. Could they have replaced the love seat with a booth dinette? I actually like the washer and dryer up front and centered, it should distribute the weight evenly. One thing I noticed was the water line the 1/2 bath. It looks like someone would trip or step on it where it comes out of the wall. It is nice they put a shut off valve on it, however. Otherwise a very nice toy hauler. Maybe someday someone will build your 8 foot garage version, with the full, 4 chair dinette.
I have been watching you for a good while now, and have applied your advice and reviews many times. Can I say one thing though? Time to upgrade your camera! Thats it, love this channel and all you do, please keep doing it!!
If I had a toy hauler I wouldn't like to eat my meals in that area. I am sensitive to smells and if my husband has been using oils or lubricants those smells will linger.
Can the cargo bay be longer. Can w/d go in cargo bay with a shower. I like the bathroom. Can they make bed slide wider and the drawer area bunt out to a small slide.
Nice rig, but totally in love with the Riverstone 42FSKG Legacy right now. Would like to get your take on one, but so far I've had trouble finding one in Texas, at least in the Houston area.
If you don't have any toys or have motorcycles, bikes, kayaks, etc. a smaller garage might be ok, but for most people buying toy haulers a 13 ft. garage is the minimum size you need to fit a 4 seat side by side (In fact it is too small for some 4 seat side by sides). Over the last several years side by sides have dominated the outdoor community over ATVs, and the toy hauler industry has been slow to react with garage style trailers often coming in at 10, 12, or 12.6 ft. garages. This leaves many people only the choice of an open floorplan toy hauler, especially if you have multiple toys. I know that some people make the garage a second bedroom, office, etc., but toy haulers are, as the name implies, for hauling your toys and that can get very complicated these days.
I seriously wish they'd start making a model which provides a real office space. Take a toyhauler profile but instead of a garage, it's an unfinished room with fold down desk and places to mount monitors. Maybe an extra wide door for loading and unloading stuff, and instead of the lowerable bed, LOTS of storage and overhead shelves.
Both. Alliance does a complete system check plus they take them out and tow with the tanks full and do a complete shakedown. After that they are cleaned/detailed before they leave the factory.
Disappointed in your review of the 40v13. What you called a storage outside by the back steps is actually a built in air compressor. A definite improvement for a toyhauler. It has a 4 burner stove top you failed to mention. The solar system and the 12v fridge along with all the other 12v systems.
JD, goood analysis on the review!!! I really liked your idea of the overhang for the kitchen counter for a couple of bar stools!!! Also, your idea of having another floor plan for a smaller garage to make the kitchen bigger - giving that space back to that area. Kitchen storage is lacking a bit on this model. Other than that, its very well laid out. I would definately buy that one over the Momentum if they made the adjustments you recommended!!! 👍😃
I love this Valor Model.... I have been doing soooo much research on toy haulers and have been waiting for you to do this review. I can't express how much I agree with you and adding the overhang on the kitchen peninsula to accommodate a couple stools. With so many boxes being ticked for our ideal rig, I (for some reason) am still hesitant to choose this as our future home. Although it has many great features, the look seems of poor quality and cheaply done. I think we'll bide our time and wait for buyer/owner reviews in the coming months. Thank you for doing what you do!!
@@tynottelling6584 You are Absolutely correct. This Floorplan beats pretty much anything else on the market. Alliance makes Quality Units and the Valor is leaps and bounds ahead on the options for Off Grid usage.
What are you referring to? The only thing in the frame is part of the main floor and the front edge of the slide in front of the fridge and couch. There is a flap/transition on the front of the slide.
Since you are second to none regarding your reviews I would like to ask you to review the 2022 Alliance 40v13. Seems they made some upgrades that are well thought out. Maybe you could compare it to the Momentum 349m
The box on the back passenger side actually holds an air compressor! They normally have different tanks for the generators
Thanks for sharing, we have one set to be delivered in a week or two. They come with two 320 watt solar panels and one lithium ion battery.

Hello from Idaho 😲
We have had our 40v13 since December 16th and absolutely love it 👍
This large living area feels much more livable than the typical toy hauler floorplan.
Another Great review. Thank you. One thing you missed is on the curb side in the back you called it a storage compartment. That compartment holds an air compressor to air up you tires for your toys.
It was locked. Thanks!
@@BTBRVReviews You are welcome. It's OK a lot of others have missed it. It could very well of happened to me.
I really liked that Toy Hauler. I'm glad your back showing them. And I like the 13 Foot Garage. Have a Motorcycle and 4X4 Four Wheeler to go in there. 👍👍🇺🇸

They have made quite a few changes since this video.
Ours has laundry Hookups in the front and the garage.
We Absolutely love our 40v13 😉
That's a nice rig. I still think all of the toy hauler's half bathrooms should be wet baths so you can rinse off after a long day of off roading without glgoing though your nice living area
I work at Alliance, we build a great unit and really care about quality. The backslash now goes over that entire wall and is actual tile.
the fridge, TVs and the furnace are all 12volt powered pretty cool
The 3 small TV are 12volt and the living room is regular 120 A/C.
Thanks for the review. Some things I thought of.... the steps going off of the patio are not in an ideal location given the support cable. Would prefer the steps go off of the far end of the patio. Really cool unit, we've been looking at toy haulers a lot and I like this floorplan

It’s my dream design. Alliance has a facebook group which they are very active on and have asked for suggestions from the public.
What would you be hauling if you only need an 8 foot garage?
A single full size 4wheeler might not fit with the patio setup installed 🤔
Love the critical mostly unbiased reviews! Thanks for helping to keep us all safe and understanding how these large 5th wheels are designed!
I'm putting dual wheels on my Tahoe so I can tow this puppy! I was going to use my ford focus but didn't want to be unsafe.

I didn't read all the comments but the generator is a gasoline style with a 30 gal tank. Plus a 30 gal tank for toys.. which you could actually use the other to run..60 gallons for generator.
I like how you looked into the access to the water door and saw the mess and quickly closed the door. :)
They actually are Not very messy at all.
There is however a lot of stuff in there. Lot
They are close to building a winner IMHO, they need Moreryde IS option, Full Body Paint option, Fisher Paykel DW option, and an option to reallocate garage space to living space, as has been suggested. Full body paint is absolutely an option.
It's pretty expensive!! Like 14k upgrade 🥴
Nice tint color for the cabinets, and Excellent that the Control Panel has its own cabinet. The Soft Closing Drawers are nice too. Thanks, good job.
You are so right. A garage is just that. Living space is where it’s at. This is a nice unit though.

I agree. I wish some of that garage space went into the living room to have space for a dinette.

I really like the layout of this unit! I've not seen this brand before.
I would love to see RV manufactures build in side hinges when it comes to doors like the wet bay/ storage area when the door can not be folded up completely. Good Morning from Italy, I am living in Rome, I followed always, bye bye.
Thank you!
That backsplash needs some gorilla glue spray adhesive. I hear that stuff really works lol. 😆
Saw these at Tampa. IMO the only flaw is the Washer Dryer in the bedroom. As a FT I need the closet space and want the W/D in the garage. Other than that Alliance does well in both regular 5th wheels and the Toy Haulers. Great Review!!!
W/D can be put in the front or in the garage on the new models.
This countdown is fancy!

Very similar to the 353g momentum. Love the L shape couch setup vs typical 5 seat couch
Personally with a triple axle toy hauler I prefer to have the washer/dryer in the garage, not the front of the rig. That plumbing acces will be a future mod I think to ours.
They need to have the same bathroom and bedroom set up as our grand design solitude 384 arthritis in our legs. We would buy this unit in a heartbeat but need to get into the bathroom in the am when we cannot walk. Need to hold onto the countertop
love your idea about a smaller garage! do you know if there are any out there that have the shorter garage and more living space?
There are some brands that have a storage garage under the bed but they lack the additional sleeping space Toy Haulers provide.
Good review! Need to have access to all doors to show what's behind them.
Love it but I agree it needs a small counter extension, then can be used as a bar.
The newer models have an extension and stools to go with it.
The slide needs somewhere to go. Lol
It comes in and almost touches the counter right of the stove.
Looking forward to an Alliance toy hauler,......then, lost me at cable driven slide.
Man I am so stuck on which I should buy. 5th wheel, I like the toy haulers for a computer room, but hate having to get out of a truck to go into bed. I am also looking at a Prevost, a little remodling I could have a big enough area behind passenger seat for gaming and streaming
That’s awesome Ive never seen one quite like that
You should do a video on RVs for handicapped people
I am going to work with Winnebago on this. They have a big focus on that.
Are the tie down rails in the garage floor welded to the frame? Possibly adding this to our consideration for a our new home.
I have been watching you for a good while now, and have applied your advice and reviews many times. Can I say one thing though? Time to upgrade your camera! Thats it, love this channel and all you do, please keep doing it!!
I love Alliance 5th wheels.
Love this unit!
I am still looking for the unicorn. RV with bathtubs
keystone avalanche had an 8 ft side load garage. 385bg but they discontinued.
Looks like if you open the oven the door takes up most of the aisleway - the U should be bigger.
You need at least a 8’ garage for a motorcycle.
Alliance makes some really nice units. I would like to know your opinion on the epoxy countertop.
not in the market for a toy hauler, but i really like it, all around.
I don’t like the kitchen counter that not flush all the way around...but looks pretty nice.
I just assumed that manufacturers do not provide an access panel is because they do not want you to see what is there back. Some reviewers too.
Or you could convert the garage to an office. Many have done this.
You mentioned PDI , I thought PDI was done at the factory before it left for The dealer.
PDI can be all the inspections and repairs prior to being pulled off the lot by the new owner.
Both. Alliance does a complete system check plus they take them out and tow with the tanks full and do a complete shakedown.
After that they are cleaned/detailed before they leave the factory.
The storage area Iooks big enough for it to be my dog house!
...and addition. An oven with a drawer underneath for pans
It has an oven with a drawer under it.
He just didn't show it.
Plus the newer ones come with a Convection microwave.
Agree on the dually but i see them being towed all the time by 3/4 ton trucks lol
I love toy haulers!!!
Still haven't seen anything as well thought-out as the Prime Time Spartan 1234X.
As long as I can fit a corvette in the back it's not to shabby
If it don't go Haul it! 🤭😂
The new models coming off the assembly line now have a fold down countertop extension.
Is there any toyhauler that the garage is just a garage no benches or table or bed or anything and have a some kind of dinnet
Wow!
Its gonna be hard to beat the momentum
I agree. The Momentum M class has always been my favorite till I walked in an Alliance and then after seeing this review, well I have a new favorite.
@@tynottelling6584 You are Absolutely correct.
This Floorplan beats pretty much anything else on the market.
Alliance makes Quality Units and the Valor is leaps and bounds ahead on the options for Off Grid usage.
I haven’t seen a toy hauler that tempted me to trade my XLR, until now...
Nitro XLR 405/407 unusual floorplan
At 12:25, what the hell is going on with the flooring inside the unit?
What are you referring to?
The only thing in the frame is part of the main floor and the front edge of the slide in front of the fridge and couch.
There is a flap/transition on the front of the slide.
I wonder if anyone has ever turned that 13 ft garage into another Bedroom or Office??
Pretty decent toy hauler.
Drink every time he says "which is really nice"
wish you guys were in canada i would so love to buy one . later on
Since you are second to none regarding your reviews I would like to ask you to review the 2022 Alliance 40v13. Seems they made some upgrades that are well thought out. Maybe you could compare it to the Momentum 349m
Do you think you can show us those RV coach buses?
I'm sorry but the defects are a major turn off. As insignificant as it may seem.
