    Lacie here! Western North Carolina holds a special place in my heart, and I’m eager to give back to the community where I’ve made so many wonderful memories.
    I have secretly creating few online courses in a series I have named, From Kitchen Cabinet to Medicine Cabinet! Initially, I planned to launch this series in November, but in light of the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene, I’ve decided to offer a presale of my course, Top 25 Remedies to Treat Your Family at Home.
    For just $20, you’ll gain access to simple, easy to create, effective remedies that you can use to support your family’s health at home. Plus, $5 from each purchase will be donated directly to help victims of Hurricane Helene.
    I look forward to helping you learn how to treat your family at home while also giving back to Western North Carolina

      They opened three dams that's why y'all were so flooded

    • @odesangel
      @odesangel 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +8

      @@AnnaBaldwin-k5y Flooding would've happened anyway. Dams have a finite capacity and do not prevent an unprecedented amount of precipitation, which is what caused the flooding. With as much water flowing over the tops of the dams, they were clearly operating far beyond their designed capacity. In this scenario, opening a dam helps relieve stresses on the dam itself, reducing the likelihood of the dam failing completely.

    • @mariareyes7913
      @mariareyes7913 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +6

      If they open the dams like you said that what they were supposed to do. If not the dams break with all the pressure. I don't think that who ever did it was to cause so much damage they did it to prevent a bigger damage. If that is what happens. So sorry for so many losses, let's pray for the victims and family. Keep on the good work.

      Sorry, but it could happen. No one is immune to disasters. Our climate is changing, and we need to really keep an eye and ear open, because those 100 year, once in a lifetime things do happen.
      Two years ago, hurricane Hilary roared through CALIFORNIA! We don't get hurricanes! We get earthquakes.
      My area, in the desert is low lying, and my immediate area is on a 100 year flood plane. If I you've ever seen a flash flood start, it is dramatic. Hurricane Hilary dumped so much water on us, that our streets became torrents, raging rivers. It shut down the 10 freeway! I've lived here 45 years and I've NEVER seen our freeway close. People where stranded out there, in their cars. We had homes below us that were compleatly surrounded by flood waters, as the rain came down from the higher grounds, wiping out a good half of my senior community alone. In other areas people's homes were chest high inside, filled with thick mud. It took them months to get cleaned up, and longer to be rebuilt.
      We are resilient beings, and we will emerge like the legendary Phoenix, arise from the ashes. We know we can do it.
      So guys and gals, it's going to take lots and lots of time to completely rebuild, but you know we, you, can fo it.

    • @melaniebrown4947
      @melaniebrown4947 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@karenshepherd2412 The truth about the climate changing isn't being discussed or debated in the main stream media. Weather warfare is real and there's patents on it. Microwave lasers are also acknowledged by the military.
      Look at
      Parsdise City, CA fires 2018;
      Lahaina in Maui, Hawaii fires ( metal in car liquefied while nearby trees stood standing);
      East Palestine Ohio;
      and now this Hurricane Helene.
      Too many people steer away from "conspiracy theories," We need to wake up to the fact that our government is an enemy of we the people. They are trying to kill us. And it's not a secret. Check out Bill Gates, the World Economic Forum, the United Nations. They want us to "own nothing and be happy."

      It can be HELPFUL for us ALL to keep a LOOKOUT for ANY information you find on local SMALLER organizations & CHURCHES taking 2ND HAND ITEMS! --Most ppl have extra clothes, coats, sleeping bags, blankets, towels, boots, backpacks, hats, toys, gloves for kids, working/gardening tools & gloves, pots & pans, & everyday essentials. BUT some are HARDER to find & knowing when they're accepting dropoffs, so post & share them with all groups!
      --The larger donation ctrs do NOT have time to manage USED ITEMS(unless they've requested), BUT those items DO help IMPACT plenty of families❤! --No point sending them somewhere they'll sit around, till THROWN OUT.
      --Mostly the smaller Community ctr, Charities, Church groups can & will sift through, sort out, re-wash, dry, fold, & transport to distribute gently USED ITEMS! While the other facilities are trying to keep goods flowing & stock warehouses.

Main stream media is not reporting the truth or anything at all. Also there are those on FB that are putting info out how Fema is helping everyone as well as the government and we shouldn’t listen to the disinformation. I have not heard about landslides except for major highways. We live in the watershed of the mountains of Puerto Rico. Our mountains are steeper than the Appalachian mountains and water runoff is fast and furious. We have constant small landslides. We can get 24" of rain in an afternoon in the rainy season. I am learning so much of land management, water drainage, etc. from a microcosmic version of WNC. The winds of Hurricane Maria was so strong that all the trees leaves turned brown from wind burn. Within two years we got new growth
