To je super, že můj oblíbený kanál Munchies už má svůj zásek i v Česku :) Možná se z českého vepřového jednou stane stejný pojem jako plzeňské pivo, český porcelán, atd. :)
+kubishtaNYC Plzen neni nic moc, uz jste mel Bratcice/Oslavany?
There's actually a huge comunity of vegans and even raw vegans among Czech people. I didn't agree with lots of things said in this documentary. It was interesting to watch my own country by the eyes of someone else, but I didn't find it that authentic. Even the music sounded like Russian Jewish music. I've never heard music like that in my country. Then again, although I've been to Prague countless of times, I'm from Moravia. So maybe there should be a documentary about Moravia too. Especially about wines and spirits. Bohemians can't make good Slivovice. That's preposterous. Interesting to watch nonetheless.
+Judah Licharowicz Nice try, but you obviously don't know, what you're talking about. It's true, that Bohemians and Moravians have some kind of rivalry between each other, but I don't feel being a part of that. For example, I wouldn't ever say that Brno is more beautiful than Prague. Prague is one of the most magnificant places I've ever been to (when it comes to sight seeing and culture). But the people there are cold and basically just try to get as much money from you as they can (there are tons of documents about this - one even made by BBC). Now, in Brno, people are grumpy and swear a lot, but they are actually more honest and it's usually their pleasure to help a stranger lost in their streets (unlike people from Prague). Of course you can't apply this on all the people living in Prague or Brno, but from years of my own experience, this is how the majority of people behave. So if you want to see some great sights, visit Prague or Český Krumlov. If you want to taste great spirits from all kinds of fruits, be sure to visit South Moravia, particularly small villages. That's just how it is.
+Jakub Urbánek I concede, seeing as you are both knowledgable and intelligent. But I have a question, do you think Prague and Bohemia are changing because of this food movement?
+Judah Licharowicz Thanks! That's actually very admirable. Not many people can admit mistakes! I really respect that. Indeed! I think nowadays lots of major cities go through noticeable changes when it comes to gastronomy. It's finally popular to eat healthy local foods, so many people try to connect the traditional cuisine (by using local ingredients) with modern approach (using high quality and, if possible, healthy ingredients). Prague certainly is no exception. I think people in Brno try too, but as Brno is significantly smaller, the changes are much slower and less noticeable. When I look back - 5-10 years ago, you'd randomly walk around the center of Brno or Prague and you'd find lots of taverns with cheap shitty food. Now with the new (post-communist) generation of young people, these practices heavily diminish. We even have a cooking show on TV, where a Chef visits a restaurant in every episode and tries to improve the kitchen, perception of the staff and an over-all enviroment - very much in style of Gordon Ramsey. So yes, I'd say for sure - our post-communist country is finally changing and tries to catch up with the western culture in every aspect and therefore gastronomy is no exception.
+Bětka Změlíková Not sure if the reporter is czech. Just love her voice and accent. I don't usually fancy Cauasian women. But I will make an exception for her. And I love PORK!
Bětka Změlíková Nothing wrong with a foreign accent. As long as I understand you. :) I speak with a weird accent as well. Just be comfortable with who you are!
There is a lot of water in the muscle. When it dries it intensifies the taste. It also allows time for the natural enzymes in the meat to break the muscle down further which makes for rich tender meat. Some people like it and some people don't.
So typically, pigs that are placed in very small quarters, in poor living conditions will begin to bite each others ears or tails. Rather than improving the living conditions, it seems better instead to cut the tails.
After watching multiple shows on food production, I've come to the personal conclusion that I'm not sure whether or not raising & killing an animal for food is right or wrong, as long as it lives a pain free life. The only thing I'm very certain about is that there's hardly any justification for having animals spend a life in miserable conditions in mass production.
everybody always looks so pale and unhealthy over there, probably just the crap sunlight but still, here in belgium I don't notice that and we have crap sunlight as well.
+Endrikh Darkvine CXVI that's in your brain... Communists (Czechs hate them), Eastern Europe (it's Central Europe, Prague is more on west than Wien)... it's just your stupid imagination and the fact it was filmed in late autumn or winter, that's all
This is rediculous, free range meat is even more unsustainable than factory farming. With growing populations, demand grows meaning it would require more land for them where all the time, effort and resources(water, feed) could be going into growing vegetable/plant based foods that could feed more families and for longer time. Now that's what I call sustainable.
Yea we love our pigs so much we kill them for food. Did you see how happy them pigs looked? Why can't they just remain so. They were just like that dog they had. This video disgusted me.
+Judah Licharowicz yes but for how long are you going to be able to keep doing that? as populations keep growing we won't be able to keep up with the demand, so much more food could be produced with the time, effort, and resources that is being used for meat.
+OSMxLOBBIES Doesnt that depend on how much meat we consume? Killing an animal and consuming it slowly would make it sustainable, supply and demand really, people eat more than they need, therefore there's always a growing demand for meat, so i guess you have a point there, although if we controlled ourselves it would be possible to make it sustainable
+OSMxLOBBIES I agree, but that isn't really a reason to stop eating meat, and isn't an argument for harsher ways of raising livestock (those ways that mistreat animals). If your statement comes to pass meat would once more (as it has been in the past) become a rare commodity, for the rich.
I was going to say, the only reason this reporter was getting the article was because she speaks English. That was till she said "everyone is losing HIS shit"
as a vegan i think you guys should appeal to my better nature and shut down your channel, how dear you guys show this. this is wrong and you owe vegans an appology for not thinking like us
Oh god. The host made it a bit hard to watch. I want to enjoy it as much as she is enjoying it and she doesn't. That's just how I am feeling. Love the channel though.
Munchies, why wouldn't you get someone to do this story who is interested and knowledgeable in this kind of topic, who would know what kind of questions to ask and, in turn, give us a thorough insight into this kind of superior product. Instead we get some irrelevant ditz who further proves that human evolution still has a while to go.....
Ima miss not seeing new episodes for this series.. very good host btw, hope to see more work form her : )
we love you Hannah
Did anyone notice the weed tractor?
best episode of this series so far

Your clearly racist against bohemia, what is good to you might not be good to them and vice versa. Your culture is not Bohemian, hers is.
The racist thing was mostly a joke, I'm merely saying you don't respect bohemian culture as much as your own, or have some rivalry with it.
+Judah Licharowicz Nice try, but you obviously don't know, what you're talking about. It's true, that Bohemians and Moravians have some kind of rivalry between each other, but I don't feel being a part of that.

Munchies needs to make a GUIDE for Hungary! Budapest is amazing and Hungary has the best pork in the world!!

I fell in love she is eating it rare... thank the heavens
Hannah. I love you!!!
The reporter remind me of Zoey Dischanel from the side view.
Why they age the meat? Does it really taste better over time?
There is a lot of water in the muscle. When it dries it intensifies the taste. It also allows time for the natural enzymes in the meat to break the muscle down further which makes for rich tender meat. Some people like it and some people don't.
I want that beer glass.

I could eat a whole pig right now lol why do I torture myself by watching food videos when I'm starving! lol
1:53 My god it's like a fucking Eli Roth movie.
At first I thought it was humans. Not that it makes any difference.
So typically, pigs that are placed in very small quarters, in poor living conditions will begin to bite each others ears or tails. Rather than improving the living conditions, it seems better instead to cut the tails.
so glad im a vegetarian
"Veganism doesn't stand a chance in Bohemia."
Finally she eats something.
In a larger space they have stronger immune systems and mothers are able to nurse longer
you think there is such a thing as happy meat. that's cute -_-*
That steak looked bomb
Dance Moms "Freak show" song XD in the beginning

She looks old and young at the same time...
Vegetarian Paradise
I don't think Czech beef can compete with Argentina beef.
I think I saw this pig farm in Day Z.
everybody always looks so pale and unhealthy over there, probably just the crap sunlight but still, here in belgium I don't notice that and we have crap sunlight as well.
+Endrikh Darkvine CXVI true ^^
+Endrikh Darkvine CXVI that's in your brain... Communists (Czechs hate them), Eastern Europe (it's Central Europe, Prague is more on west than Wien)... it's just your stupid imagination and the fact it was filmed in late autumn or winter, that's all

Happy meat? Happy Slaughter.. Oh lord. 1984 at its finest.
There is no humane slaughter or ethical slaughter.

What a foodie? The hell is this girl doing in this show? oh god...
Nummy numm! Cuz ur hotness! And good info, 😆
Opinions are like arseholes - everybody has one.
why has she been wearing the same dress?
She might as well have not worn that hair net if she's going to have half her hair hanging out of it.
She clearly had trouble tucking all that hair in a hair net.
Shnizzle lmfao
It sounds like she says czech like chick
Grey...

+smartdave599 lol that might be more sustainable alternative than animal meat, but I think I'll just stick to plant based protein.
+smartdave599 but is your addiction to eating something alive that hard to overcome? that you are willing to eat bugs as an alternative?
+Rusty Shackleford I'm laughing my ass off to your comment
+OSMxLOBBIES In Europe it is sustainable.
Stop filtering your nutrients through other bodies. Go to the direct source, eat what comes from the earth.
everything is so grey and boring jesus.
+pimpmafuqa well sorry the whole world is not a fucking Disney World or Las Vegas. lol
+wassupMannn how much obese children and McDonald's do you see ? Lol ask him that!
Not all the time 😄😂
+pimpmafuqa i love it! i wanna go there, i love the grey gloomy type weather
To each their own. Looks like beautiful country to me...
Yea we love our pigs so much we kill them for food. Did you see how happy them pigs looked? Why can't they just remain so. They were just like that dog they had. This video disgusted me.
There is no such thing as sustainable meat production.
+smartdave599 hmmm, they are high in protein.
If you breed one pig for each pig you kill, then that's sustainable.
+Judah Licharowicz yes but for how long are you going to be able to keep doing that? as populations keep growing we won't be able to keep up with the demand, so much more food could be produced with the time, effort, and resources that is being used for meat.

she is a cutieeeee
mmmmm pork.
Shes cute.
nothing about that steak looked good tho lol..
She's hot ngl
nice series but she would look a lot better without that damn nose ring!!!
It's not about weather or not you find her attractive that's not the point of it, if it was it would be a porn.
I was going to say, the only reason this reporter was getting the article was because she speaks English. That was till she said "everyone is losing HIS shit"
This is the most clueless reporter ever...
when going to a farm or a kitchen, you shouldn't be wearing a bath robe and you should tie your hair.
as a vegan i think you guys should appeal to my better nature and shut down your channel, how dear you guys show this. this is wrong and you owe vegans an appology for not thinking like us
This looks like a cow pig
she need a man in her life ;^)
