    My husband died a few weeks ago, he meant the world to me. He started some building work on our house but got too sick to finish it. Like I say, it's only been a few weeks and I have decided to finish what he started, I'm no builder, I am in my 60's, a rather round woman and not in the best of health but I need to do this, I watched a lot of How To videos and I'm starting the work today all on my own which is what I want to give me time to think and time to do. Thank you for these inspiring monologues.

      I am so sorry for your loss. I applaud you for wanting to finish what your beloved husband started. I lost my husband suddenly two years ago. He had started a job in the kitchen (just putting some shelves up) and I eventually finished it and was so pleased with myself. I said to him out loud, "I've finished it for you!" I have also put in a washing line and smashed up our rotten decking - jobs that he never got to finish. Again I'm so sorry for your loss. ❤

    My father committed suicide more than a year ago, and it is just destroyed me. Even after a year i felt like I'm living the life in the wrong way. That's me who find him in a rope, and i accepted it. Rationally i know it, but my heart was feeling different. After that, my grandma died. Almost a year since the death of my father i broke up with my girlfriend. A lot of things happened in such a small amount of time, i can't even describe it all.
    But, what does not kill you, makes you stronger. Listen to your mind, listen to your heart, listen to your feelings. Learn to deal with problems, not to avoid them by being attracted(in easy ways: phone, procrastinating and so on).
    Thank you for your beautiful message Dee. It's a nice experience for me, to find out the person like you. Because, I'm from different country, with different culture and it is interesting to listen

      Life does seem to keep throwing stuff at us at times - you keep wondering if you can take any more - but you do.     If we knew how normal it is to feel like this we wouldn't feel so alone, or ashamed. We think there's something wrong with us and that no one else feels like we do. I've learned I need to intentionally create balance, it doesn't just happen. When we're struggling mentally we believe we don't deserve self care, I was never taught how to look after myself and my mother didn't model self care either so I had no way of learning how. Nature is medicine. I sit for at least 30 minutes every day listening to the birds and the trees. Magic! ✨✨✨

    I love to be out in my garden communing with our Creator and His creation but sometimes when Ive had a bad blow I just like to let myself go and rest a day or 2 and recharge before I can get back up and rebalance. I used to stay down for long periods of time. I used to shame myself for letting myself stay down at all. Now I know it is important to allow myself a bit of melloncholy and a small period of time to feel my true feelings and not just pop back up and dismiss myself and act like its all ok when its not. I no longer care what others may or may not think about my doing this. For me it is an act of self care and love that only I can give myself. After doing so, I am able to return to my happy, peaceful self and continue on in my life even though the problem may still be there . I know I have a choice to say " You can't make me happy, and you can't make me sad, you don't have that much power ". Only I do and I choose to make myself happy . Thanks again for sharing your thoughts !

    I love hearing your messages sweet lady. I recently bought a bike with a basket for me and my little terrier, we’ve been enjoying our rides at the park in the evenings after our work day at the computer inside, it is nice to get out in nature.

    My dear, I accidentally came across your video about a week ago. I was immediately impressed by you. Your voice was very soothing. I decided to follow you. In the last few weeks, I have been feeling very bad in my body, more precisely in my head. I felt like I wasn't doing anything well, like I was standing still, in some vicious circle. Constantly dissatisfied with myself. Tired and exhausted all the time. Everything you just said in this video has been running through my head for the past few hours. An hour ago I decided to change many things in my life, to put myself in focus, not my obligations. Because I can't go on like this and I don't feel well anymore. Physically and mentally. After a long shower, thinking, and crying, I sat down at my desk and went to TH-cam to play some light music for the rest of the evening, and the first thing I came across was this very video, which was published just 15 hours ago. Thank you. This is a wonderful sign to me that I have made a good decision and that this is how it should be. God bless you, dear. I will remember you and I will pray for you.

    I recently lost a friend and I repeatedly ask myself what I could have done differently and my daily routine and chores have been thrown off quite a bit. It’s taken a little while but I’m seeming to finally let go and get back to stability. Your videos Dee are so very encouraging and you somehow always have a piece of insight when I need it.     We say skew whiff....and we're London born. I wish I'd learnt about balance earlier in my life. Feet on the ground. Hands in the soil. Fresh air. Be beside (or in) any body of natural water. Animals. Laughter. Singing. Any creative activity. Meditate. ❤❤❤❤

    Thanks. My dad recently got a diagnosis of lewy body dementia and it's rocked my world off kilter. Meanwhile it's valid to be saddened by the news it's also important to try and retain some sort of balance.

    I love dragonflies. I recently found out that they eat mosquitoes. How wonderful is that?!!! I, at this moment am doing a balancing act. My little furbaby of 14 yrs is feeling really awful today. After her little walk this morning, I found her just laying in the floor. That is not her way. She is a very active little Chipin. My tears have been nonstop. I feel like this video gave me a bit of strength and comfort. Thank you so very much Dee.

    Oh dear Dee. I believe you’re a bit psychic. I was outside watering my plants around my deck area at dusk today. Today was an ok day. Paying lots of medical bills is exhausting. Paying all bills is exhausting when I’m running very low on funds. But…fed all my cats…inside and out. Accomplished a few things. Back to the watering of plants. I looked up saw a bunch of dragon flies flying around up high. About 5 or 6. Maybe a family night out for them. Just zooming around. As if they didn’t have a care in the world. I was mesmerized watching them..then they all kind of took off in another direction so I couldn’t see them. It’s amazing, to me, that you’re showing those beautiful dragonflies..and talking about balancing (with which I seem to have a slight problem doing).
    Btw…someone on another TH-cam channel is feeling a bit down. I told her the name of your channel. Hope that’s ok. Your gentle way..your wise words…your calm, lighthearted aura…..I think she might benefit from watching your channel..as I and so many others are benefitting.

    I have not heard about left hand writing before. I may try that as I constantly feel stuck on the past and become very easily upset.

      Another strategy - write the stuff from the past on pieces of paper, Screw them up - then have a little bonfire outside and let the smoke take them away. Hypnotherapists sometimes use a similar method but obviously at a deeper level. D

    I'm American, and I had a funny grandmother who used the word "collymobblus" as a catchall word for any minor illness. I think her ancestors were English, so maybe there's a connection to "collywobbles" there.

    Unfortunately my challenge was about decluttering but I am sure my recovery is under way.
    I go to the race tracks and volunteer in a wide open park with others .

    A light hearted comment: Going with the flow and ride with the tide... I do believe one must continue to strive for what it is that propels you forward in a positive way... Balance if defined would encounter many strong points of interest all leading to how you apply it... some moments of the day you may accept the sunshine and the rainbows, I must also accept the thunder and the lightening.... Sorta the mantra turn that frown upside down... can create harmony of great blessings the words of encouragement like 🎶 musical notes dancing on the page...Your flower arrangement are always quite lovely on display...Cheers!       Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Getting balance doesn't mean you have to stop that forward movement. In fact, I feel that it can help as you are 'in a better place' - don't like that saying but brain didn't allow me to find an alternative! D

      A gentle reply to the gentle reply: I had to go back and read what I commented... it was 2:16 am ET 🇺🇸 so my brain doesn't always register and of course thoughts and ideas do tweak with the morning light...8:39 am. ET yes I go to bed late and get up early... I love night and day... total different elements and energy. Balance is a temporary solution not my absolute goal...to the quality of a Harmopnious mindset ...it simply frees me of dissent forming a truthful agreement I'd like to think ?     It's to bad you probably don't live anywhere close to me. I'd cut your firewood. It's a different muscle group than the one I usually use. I could probably do that for a good long while. My legs have the scewwiffery. I walk too much. That's why it's hard to get to the store. As for Ballance, I could work in an office but I don't know anyone in their right mind who would hire me. It's really too bad cause I am very good with computers. Or maybe the recycling center. I can still stand I just don't want to go on long marches.

      You will find it - Tell yourself that you can - and you will, but you may have to be a bit patient. Do things that you enjoy, get out (in nature if you can) - whatever floats your boat. D

    I opened TH-cam twice and both times this was the first video that came up, so I thought "it must be because I need to watch it".
    That's what I've been trying to do for the last four months, find a bit of balance, slow down. I've been dealing with dissociation along with my anxiety and I remember that the first time I saw a video of yours, I was on very bad days. I'm grateful to you Dee, for your videos, for your words, for your kindness, for bringing me smiles and a little hope. Thank you 🤍 (forgive the outburst, I felt I needed to tell you)
