In threes you can fake challenge on your side line, let the ball over your head to your teammate, streak up sideline, grab mid boost and play the pass up wall or towards midfield. If its not there, you have boost/momentum to get back to far post for defense and to demo their 3rd in rotation.

The only problem is the casual audience that rocket league over encourages to play ranked will never see this, and that's the problem with the ranking system. You can literally float at a rank below you for most of a season due to all the random unranked matches you will get.
I have a video idea : gameplay of a good player but every time they Powerslide a green dot appears in a corner. If u know what i mean. U could also show some especialy interesting moments when they use Powerslide where low ranks maybe wouldnt.
u need to boost in interval sections to get the fast speed possible otherwise u lose, speed when u turn ur car. Just tip a tiny bit on your boost button and u get back to supersonic.
Yeah that supersonic tip is misleading. If you turn at all it reduces momentum and will slow you down. I think there are very few situations where you will want to reach supersonic and then continue in a perfectly straight line.
I don’t blame my teammates. The only thing that pisses me off is that they never watch the goal to see if it’s open. I used to stay hovering around the goal to keep it safe. Now I push and if it’s been open and we get scored on, I bash them about knowing the goal has priority.
Cheating on kickoffs is great assuming the person doing the kickoff doesn't completely screw up the kickoff. At lower levels, kickoffs are definitely not that controlled, so i would recommend not cheating up unless you know your teammate is going to have some sort of control at kickoff.
@@wwerty234 If you are not in the front position on kickoff, accelerate without boost towards the ball so that if the ball gets stuck in the middle after kickoff, you have an easy shot on goal.
@@reddragon2249 It is true, after a certain amount of time your super sonic goes a bit lower, if you really need it (I do it for last effort saves) feather boost when already super sonic. It was either rocket science or rocket sledge who made the vid on it. I hope he can find the vid, but it is true either way
sort of true but not really. the supersonic range is about 2kph, and if you turn your speed goes down a bit. at that point you can boost a tiny bit to get back up to the actual top speed, but definitely dont just hold boost the whole time youre supersonic.
Now I think most know that these rules doesn't apply at ALL times, but I still find it important to say; that especially in higher ranks closer to and above ssl, gameplay tend to vary a lot more, therefore needing far more gameplay variation based on how the game goes, but these rules still apply most of the time!

You have to hold gas AND go straight to keep supersonic. Turning lowers your speed. Driving straight with gas does not.
