can I be honest: as a woman, I prefer Viola to Bayonetta.
I think it’s a combo of her introduction being so abrupt and important, and because she is now THE Bayonetta (We all hated that, really hoping Bayo comes back somehow because she is irreplaceable.)

@@lazypikachu2.0 In order to make a one of those "pass a Torch" situations in these games they have to introduce the new character in one game, make it lovable, but not make it a replacement of the MC, then in another game you can start thinking about replacement, if you do everything in one game you GET Backlash from the Fandom.
They could make a good alliance. Even a comedian duo, with Nero's sarcasm and Viola's goofy attitude.
And can also be trolled by dante and Bayonetta:

It’s funny to see how bayonetta has been heavily inspired by the later DMC entries (3, 4, and 5) , considering it’s helmed by the original creator of DMC. Things have come full circle

I wish we got Shin Megami Tensei V featuring Nero from Devil May Cry. That would've been so cool. Unfortunately, if we do get another version of SMT V, it'd probably have Viola or at best Bayonetta. Bayonetta is cool and all but Nero and Dante are on another level.
Bayonetta 3 being limited to the switch is REALLY doing it no favors.

its a damn shame. in some areas the game looks alright but any area thats even somewhat large looks fucking ugly as hell and is a real turn off overall but sadly it cant all be blamed on Switch. there are SO many better looking games on it that its insane just how ugly Bayo3 really is.
Yup. I saw Bayonetta 1 was on sale on playstation but decided not to buy it, seeing as I wouldn't be able to play the sequels if I liked the game
well to be fair that was the only way they could get funding to make the game particularly since they had a lot of issues with the development. also comparing it to dmc5 potentially the best looking action game ever made is pretty unfair
There are tons of switch games that are good looking enough bayo 3 while being good was rushed. It isn’t totally the systems fault.

@@danipatac7210 they'll just revamp her. Wouldn't be surprised if they made her meh on purpose so that when she's more fun to play in 4 people will praise the devs. Its all according to plan. I find it hard to believe that they did what they did with viola and the game when you have dmc4 and dmc5 to look at for an idea of what fans will like
The entire multiverse only gets saved because she warns Cereza about Singularity, tells her where to find Thule to travel to other dimensions and get chaos gears, and she helps save Luka, who is needed to beat Singularity in the final fight❤

I think the reason was because of having to replay V's parts so I opted out. On top of that I had never played DMC before so I did a marathon of all the games before DMC5 released.

Literallly how did you get that SSS with Nero at 2 mins? I can count on one hand how much ex-acts were used and Nero without Exceed is painful to build style with. I'm not even mad I'm genuinely surprised

DMC 5 is quite easy if you are aiming for SSS style.
It's all about Attacks diversity. Even if you are bad at executing Ex-Act or Max-Act, all you need to do is cycling between Sword, Arms, Guns, DT, repeat quickly

The problem with Viola is that she just feels like a lesser Bayo she is not as fun to handle
Cause it feels like she was an afterthought and even though she was advertised almost as heavily as bayo herself, she only has a playable levels and is feels like she was underdeveloped

Viola is DMC4 Nero but worse, in terms of what she's meant to be. She's the funky new character you have to play a lot, that's meant to replace and overshadow the protagonist, and is smug about it. That's not how you do a new protagonist.
But hey, Nero redeemed himself in DMC 5, so now we wait another decade for Viola to redeem herself in Bayo 4 and it'll all be good, riiiiight? (Sarcasm)

That's mostly what people said about Nero they both had a rushed introduction and not much room to grow to start. Nero just also has DMC 5. Viola doesn't have Bayonetta 4.

Have never played bayo in my life and played all of the dmc games, except dmc 5. Don’t see anything wrong with bayonetta 3 thus far though outside the shitty va controversy, heck it even won best action in game awards if I’m not mistaken. Not entirely sure how it was massacred, it’s not like dmc reboot level of massacre or anything right? It’s fine I think

Massacred is a bit extreme, the gameplay is still great. The enemy design, graphics and story were pretty ass though. Im glad nintendo saved the franchise but the switch is holding the series back imo. I hope they release a more powerful system by the time bayonetta 4 comes out.

Such a pity that the awful graphics of the Bayonetta 3 kinda ties down to Nintendo making it exclusive to an underwhelming hardware like the Switch. With specs almost similar to a 2017 mobile smartphone no wonder it looks cartoonish and floaty compared to other games. Devs probably wanted a better looking game art but the Switch probably couldn't handle it.
Here me out, what if Nero gets to be Viola's partner in Bayonetta 4? Just like Cereza and Jeanne? 😃

Nero's look is just so casually cool. its punk but doesn't need to be up in your face about it and still keeps elements of his past design as a culmination between red for Dante and blue for Virgil

Ya'll talking a lotta shit but I remember when nero first came out and how much shit was talked. Shit, I remember when five came out and all the dead weight memes hit. When bayo 4 comes out Viola will be a cult classic. The only thing I didn't love is going to dodge and realizing it doesn't work like that with her.
The problem with that is people straight up don’t like her character, while people mostly didn’t like Nero taking the spotlight away from Dante.

I think it’s more likely they actually just Reboot Bayonetta with better graphics and an open world, same old Bayonetta. The creator said fans misinterpreted the ending.

The combat in bayoneta looks kinda slow compared to dmc I have never played it be4 but dmc combat is very very fast
It's because DmC exclusively has a Movelist so you can use any attack with your gun/sword/arm/devil trigger freely at any time which lets the game flow faster since you have complete control over the combat speed.
Bayonetta has a really small "move list" (attacks that you use direction inputs/button combinations for) because it has a combo list, and combo's are things you have to actually press buttons in a specific order/timing to do, so it slows down combat because to do certain attacks you have to go through an entire combo string, and since bayo games are focused on dodging/slowing time, you're constantly canceling your combo's without the time slow.
@@Sylvastier uhmmm, that’s not true. Bayonetta games focus around dodge offset to continue comboing after dodging. The witch time mechanic actually takes a bit of a backseat in the first game. The third game tends to use the demon slave mechanic alot to clear entire masses of enemies, or to help gain advantage. It’s all about being stylish and in control in Bayonetta games.
@@MommyHelpU my main point is that DmC has no set group of attacks that you have to do in any specified order so your combo length and speed are entirely up to inputs and enemy knowledge, while Bayonetta outright has finishers which do the majority of her damage, her "move-list" is alot smaller in comparison and her combos....are combos so you have to go through most of a set amount of animations or cancel and start over again. Which makes the combat feel abit slower than always being able to cancel anything into anything. That's not even mentioning the fact that summons have lengthy animations in Bayonetta, as well as slower attacks than the characters. nearly any input in DmC is instant (Nero's Devil Breakers, Sword Ramping, Gun charging, swordslashes, etc. some of these things can outright be done simultaniously), Bayonetta outside of her move-list all have alot more startup frames and set up moves for combos, as well as being alot more AoE centric.

@@Sylvastier Except you're just spitting BS. Dodge offset allows you to skip straight pass most animations and continuously chain moves into each other, whereas summons in 3 can be used simultaneously with normal moves to stunlock enemies and deal damage.
