@@happycat4766 they earned over $500,000+ on their kickstarter alone not to mention how much more they've earned from game sales/dlc, they have plenty of money i'm sure a dlc costing like $10 isn't going to destroy them. if anything with all the money they've already earned by now the game should have significantly improved, which hasn't happened.
@@happycat4766 Ark had the same negative reception to paid DLCs before release btw. Buying early access or even DLCs before the full release can help game development, but taking advantage of the goodwill of players is something else. If a game wants my money for a DLC then the game needs to actually be fun to play and have a good amount of content amongst other factors.
Permanently locking characters behind temporary campaigns (e.g. Kickstarter, Twitch) has to be one of the worst ideas that have been brought into the gaming industry.
I agree having characters locked behind paywalls is like a smack in the face to the consumers. We wish to see the return of when you buy a game, you get the entire game with no strings attached.
it all depends on how you wrote your disappointment lol. passive aggressive phrases or straight up attacks and harassment NEED to be punished lol. I myself criticized the devs's decision but i'm still there and unmuted lol. don't throw the rock and then cry of you get another one in the face in return
>the more you play a single dragon, the better it's genetics become >groups will abuse this to hatch super dragons by staying alive for longer >solo players are factually weaker then groups >no lifing is thusly encouraged by the game Did they learn nothing from BoB??????? What the fuck????
The worst is all the people claiming that the flying mechanic is the best they've ever had... They must've not played any other games before to make such a inaccurate statement.
@@apalala4166Nah, I have to disagree on that. The game is pretty shitty in almost every way but they did nail the flight system. It’s the only reason I’ve ever played this game.
The biggest problem is their clan issue. New players can’t even try to enjoy the game without being obliterated by Clans who practically run the servers that are pvp and guard every area of the map, going as far as slaying hatchlings when they spawn and kosing anyone they see that isn’t affiliated with their clan or clan partners. It’s highly upsetting
Every time I wanted to grow a dragon, my group and I would get annililated because of clans who have infinitely better stats than us and more people. There's essentially no point in playing unless you're part of these mega clan gangs.
@randomwolfygirl You join them, but as I said, they are 100% like gangs. The big ones at least. You have to join their Discord group, change your name to have a little bracket at the end of it, and pledge your alliance to them. Some are more extreme than others, but I've seen some extreme ones that do nothing but completely wipe entire servers.
@@shlingusdingus4174 what do they even find fun about playing a game where there's basically no opposition or challenge, you might as well play chess against yourself like actually 💀
The game went from "12k is all I need to get started" to "I need to sell DLCs because making video games is expensive!" Right after it got 530k from KS backers.
The two things that deterred me the most about this game was how tedious the breeding system is and the clans. The breeding system seems about as complex as getting mutations in Ark, and as someone who just wants to fly around and be a dragon, why on earth would I spend hundreds of hours breeding and just hoping I get good genes? That, and the clans in this game are virtually gangs. If you're not in a clan, you die. If you're in a clan, you die. If you are in a rival clan, you guess it. You get wiped out of existence, and there goes 6 hours of growing your dragon. Even the Isle is much more forgiving than this game.
@McNugget555 True, but I mainly mean that it's very tedious. Stacking mutations with no boosted egg times and maturation times takes ages. If you had no incubator, for even longer. You're still breeding a better creature at the end of the day, and as a fairly new player, the whole process seems daunting for both games as a solo player.
@@shlingusdingus4174 Tbf in ASA it’s a lot easier considering everyone has access to mods, if you play unmodded ASA and complain about tedious breeding than that’s on you (not saying you do, just in general)
@McNugget555 My computer is too shit to play ASE or mod it properly. Always has been. I've been playing the game solo and on console vanilla for years. I assume you're also a person who has played the game since it first came out or has the luxury of having your game completely modded out so that breeding is easy. Either way, you're not a new player and don't seem to understand my point. You don't get just how difficult it is to breed a better dino or a better dragon with the default system in place. At the very least, Ark has some incentive to breed super dinos. DoD doesn't. It's a meaningless chore whether you understand that struggle or not.
@@shlingusdingus4174 I’ve been playing console ark since ASE’s console release, and I do fully understand the struggle, but if you really think about it it isn’t actually that difficult, literally just breed until a baby has different colours to its parents which in turn means a different boosted stat, rinse and repeat until you have better dinos, it is pretty simple when you think about it, it’s just a time consuming process if you don’t play on heavily boosted servers
The biggest issue I have with games in this genre are the people you encounter when playing, I dont know what it is about this genre but it attracts some of the just...weirdest people I have ever had the displeasure of interacting with, weather its the spiteful petty type or just flat out toxic and sometimes unhinged type.
Years back I stumbled into a couple of players ERPing in local chat. "Daddy Toothless, I soiled myself. Please lick me clean~" I never Alt + F4'ed so hard in my life. I 100% know what you mean...
As someone who really enjoys this genre.... Yeah you're totally right 😭 either you meet 12yr olds who just learned what swears are, or you meet grown ass adults who act like those 12yr olds. There are nice people, but I find they leave very very quickly or don't talk at all, which I get.
@@iwillhaveyourorder5174 the humans can be disabled for community servers, so there will be servers where you can only play as a dragon which I do like. The devs of WoD plan on giving lots of features for server options to allow community servers to customise their own player experience which I tip my hat to them.
@@salva2387 You are right and i was just in blind denial of it. It's better to not have faith in any of these shitty fucking games, please disregard what I said.
@@lt.kainjiiva How do we know that the asset from ark isn't already from someone else? Why does it matter, just because ark is more popular, doesn't mean they invented it. Just saying. 😅
@@Noktomo cross referencing the model is how, and often I'll do that, I'll see if there is any other model that crosses ark, either way it would still mean they still have stolen assets in game if that's the case
This game has been given way too many chances. My last straw was their latest announcement in their discord server, talking not only about another delay, but how they’re no longer giving release dates. “It puts stress/pressure on the team, and the community gets upset when we don’t make it, which in turn adds more stress”. No shit it puts some stress on a person, that’s the whole point of a deadline, to encourage you to finish it, and obviously players are going to be upset at releases rates slower than what The Isle has done
The amount of people copeing tryna convince me its good and the moment i critisise the game for haveing stuff behind a paywall and people dismising that by just saying "you can just get nested in no big deal" like yeah that is a big deal especially if i just wanna go solo.
ESP as like- Id understand if the DLCs were so he could pay off medical bills that he didn’t want to effect the 500k he had… but that’s it, pushing any dlc this early is just- dumb.
And for some reason he's switched sides and decided to start supporting the game again. He's definitely getting paid for it as I can see no reason he'd randomly turn and start praising the game again.
Elder is unlocked with passive growth. For every TWELVE hours, you get ONE tick of growth. So that means, they want you to spend roughly 100+ hours(correct me if I'm wrong, I kinda suck at math) on ONE dragon, AFTER reaching full adult just to play as a red and orange glowing lump of rocks. Very interesting indeed.
You can speed it up by eating a specific mushroom that ALSO only spawns once every like 12 hours, but theyre often highly sought after by clans so good fucking luck Im pretty sure what DoD wants you to do is log in at the exact right time to get your elder tick, then just fucking log off LMAO, its actually hilarious
The "they don't want to create or inspire" is so real. Monster Hunter probably is the only game what really shows how much simple concept of dragon or dragon-like creatures can be creative, colorful and fascinating at the same time. And its a shame to see how game CENTERED purely around dragons just blatantly rips-off already existing designs and somehow makes them even more boring. Draconia shares same problem. Century: ages of ashes does much better, but still. HTTYD is top tier though
Note again that Monster Hunter's monsters (at least, most of them that arent from Frontier) are able to not only be extremely creative, but also be extremely creative while keeping surface level believability
@nomshark7241 it's a HUGE reason why MH is my personal favorite game series... ever. The devs *care,* and they care a MASSIVE amount about everything While they are mostly exclusions to this design philosophy, even the elder dragons are strongly based in actual biology Teostra doesn't JUST create explosions. Teostra creates explosions via a highly flammable powder-esque fur that its mane is comprised of, and it uses its fangs as a flint and steel or lighter to activate these clouds of powder Kirin doesn't JUST summon a thunder bolt, it uses its horn like a lightning rod to attract storms to its location The ONLY elders I can think of that aren't from Frontier/Explore/Online/whatever the fuck spinoff that actually just deny every part of the design philosophy MonHun is famous or... are the 1st class elder dragons (ala, Safi, fatty, and dire) and that just makes the 1st class elders even better, because their other worldly biology makes them standout in a crowd of standouts for being basic, its actually genius god I fucking love this franchise
Day of Dragons being bad is why I'm so excited for The Wings of Dawn. as of right now, they're doing everything that DoD did poorly or just hasn't bothered even doing and doing it better. I am so excited to be able to either test or play the full release of TWoD!
@ExilaArika Not only is it going to be a good dragon survival game, but there are going to be playable humans with a building and taming mechanic with NPC mounts! Also, the devs are just good people in general, the community is pretty good so far, although the game I'd fairly new so the community is still building itself, so I can't praise it too much right now.
@@Hyper.Vyper. So I checked it out and holy shit you're right. The devs sound amazing so far I have seen, they are indeed doing everything DoD is doing wrong, the community is great and then there are the creature designs, oh my GOD the creature designs, I one day want to also make a dragon survival game and their creature designs are doing actual wonders for inspiration! Most of them are nothing like anything I've seen before. I'm DEFINITELY with you with being excited about it.
The dragon designs are so much more thought out and creative and there's SO many different types of dragons, we don't know how it'll play out yet but just the dragons shown already make me happy
fact that day of dragons gets $21,490 monthly from their Patreon supports and still bare bones is sick. bought the kickstarter just to see all the promises I paid for completely changed and the backer skins given away for free. after 5 years is still the same as when they first released it with their store-bought assets. ngl the game looked better with those store-bought assets lol
At the worst the lead developer has also stated that NONE OF PATREON MONEY goes into the actual game development: it goes for mostly creating the comic and plushies/merch.
@@Lurbock yerp it's all just a scam to get more money from poor yet dumb ppl that are hopeful. it does not take 5 years to make such little progress. I'm sad even I defended this game
What I don’t understand is that with 500k u could EASILY hire a pretty good team for developing. I mean neck sakes u have 500k and crappy asset dragons that are copy and paste? You could easily hire someone like at most 50 bucks per random dragon concept and that’d be better.
I actually was apart of the discoed a few weeks back, and during their update of “soft releases” after postponing the big update AGAIN, I was openly critiquing in the discord about it, and had like 20+ reactions on my messages supporting my thoughts and people hyping my voice, due to this- I got punished by staff for being disrespectful to the staff team, so I said f all of yall and left. I think Im banned lol.
Anthomnia now supports DoD btw. The dev Jao is constantly banning people still. All kickstarter promises were revoked, shuffled to Patreon, and then given out for free. Patreons now get even more exclusive content because I quote: "They continue to pay me" as opposed to Kickstarter who never got what they were promised in the first place lol His new game is a disgrace and still a scam. It's been worked on for 5yrs now. What he's done could be done (and people have done it) in a matter of a few weeks at MOST with a basic unreal engine tutorial from youtube. Don't support a corrupt dev and corrupt scam from the beginning. We warned you as those who were mass banned the first time jao lost his mind (it wasn't youtube propaganda as he so often says lol) and continue to warn you as those who join our ranks that are being banned for asking questions (not even being negative or breaking the rules of his discord- JUST ASKING QUESTIONS) from the discord. Jao's a joke, and finally more people are seeing this. Someone give us the dragon game we deserve.
Some points are right but some are really just fake news in this comment im really not a dod fanboy but you should really inform yourself a bit better b4 throwing out such a acvusing comment.
This is the most controversial game and rightfully so. It’s got some dirty laundry within its own staff and it’s not something I’d willingly support.. not to mention the game permanently banned me from playing via a hardwire ban because they mistook me for an “alt account” of a banned user lol
I tried launching it up after the new update, and it caused my graphics card to completely shut down and it made my monitor disconnect so my only option was to restart my pc lol. I've never seen that happen with anything before but at least it saved me 4 hours of my time sitting and doing nothing.
I had a similar experience; my computer fans were bawling out like they were placed in a medieval torture device. After updating my gpu (which was the problem), it STILL screamed even on low-medium settings. I hope once everything is added, they optimize the game properly so that the forests don’t look like a 2nd grade art project-
Hmmmmm, it sounds like they used coding meant for Microsoft XP professional rather than whatever system you run its like trying to use old coding for new systems it causes glitches which cause catastropic failure. For example say you have a system running Microsoft XP steam for example won't work correctly for such a system due to its age mostly because the system is out of date and will not function normally under those cercumstances when Microsoft 11 is out and about. I suspect if Jao is working on it he or his felow devs are using a outdated system like Microsoft XP to try and get the coding up and running nevermind that he doesn't seem to quite understand that what working in former generations will not mesh well with Microsoft 11 as the bios and other programs which help it run were likely not present (some of them likely were) and if some of that programs were deleted by the program itself could cause a blue screen of death because it deleted something it shouldn't have. I've actually dealt with games that have actually done that and it wasn't fun trying to fix the damage sometimes taking it back to factory at the cost of losing everything. Bare bones with no self awareness I may not be a dev but I know crash logs lingo from my days torturing my computer with 50+ mods in minecraft 1.12.2. They might have ended up screwing up the system settings by copy pasting the coding somewhere where its not supposed to be is the best possible answer I can give. Especially if you got the black screen of death.
I really wanted to be able to say DoD was a good game when it was announced & stuff, i got it the second it was playable, and i've played it every once in a while, but honestly there's just nothing to root for. Rocky start, and the surface just keeps getting bumpier. I had such high hopes for a "unique" game (to some degree obviously, i play TI BoB and PoT), and theres SO MUCH creative freedom with DRAGONS. The fact that they're only giving us a fire furry, a banshee, cloudjumper, a spicy dog, and blue toothless is ridiculous. Oh, sorry, don't get me started on the skrill. The designs are so upsetting. There's absolutely no care, just slight adjustments so they can't be bit in the ass by copyright. It's so saddening. With how much money they raised too? are you serious? and the amount of DLCs so early was the biggest red flag i have ever seen in a game. ever. period. the fact that it was a DRAKE was even more hilarious, it's a dragon game, the selling point is flying. My theory, on the drake.. did they make flying intolerable intentionally so people would buy the drake DLC? Worked on me if so, because Jesus Christ how do you make a dragon game and mess up the flying so badly. Aerial combat is even worse.
This is why games like these won't ever get popular. Because they surrond themselves too much with DLCs and people don't want to spend more money on a game unless it adds something meaningful. One example of a game that works well with DLCs are the two Frontier Sandbox Games, Planet Zoo and Jurassic World Evoultion 2. Not only do they give you a couple of animals for you to play with, but they also give new Structures and Items for you to place down and decorate your parks. This is only one issue it has that I decided to describe. This isn't counting the problems it shares with countless other games in this same genre.
It's amazing to me how a free to play Roblox game with Dragons, Creatures of Sonaria, is better than DoD. On the topic of these types of games, I never understood why Devs don't develop something in the game for players to do that isn't going into battle with other players. Path of Titans kind of does it with the whole quest system but, it's still largely boring and repetitive. I don't see how so many developers can be so ignorant on this issue, for me it's a fairly simple concept of keeping your creature healthy and fit by performing certain acts that will either boost your stats or ensure they don't lower. Things like scraping claws on trees or rocks to keep them strong whilst also leaving behind markings on the environment for other players to find, eating minerals in a specific place that is required for your diet less you develop some deficiency, illnesses that can be cured with either time or resources so you aren't just sitting around as a max adult with nothing to do but kill younger creatures, etc. I doubt these mechanics would be hard to develop compared to anything else and it would give players a lot more to do and further submerge the players in the life of their creature.
Different mechanics take effort and, unfortunately, these types of games gain a community that will praise the devs for the bare minimum, so they feel no need to improve on it.
CoS is a dark pattern game that is worse in its own ways, alongside that Twin Atlas is a toxic studio and the main directors like Erythia are awful people.
Honestly, thank you for this video. I've been a DoD kickstarter since the beginning and personally still have hope for the game, but I was an ADAMANT defender of it for many many years. Yours is the FIRST video I've seen with genuine criticisms that doesn't just lean into shitting on the game, the players and taking small details and running for miles with them. I was hesitant to click at first, but I'm really glad I did. You validated all of my criticisms about the game and more without making it personal or spending time rehashing old drama that was sorted years ago. This video lowkey genuinely helped me rethink the way I feel about the game, and while personally I'm still hopeful to one day see it come to fruition, I'll also happily admit I've played like 6 hours of it since "1.0" release... and most of that was afk growing. Cheers :)
Not to beat a dead horse, but it's genuenly funny how uninspired the desogns are when you take one second to look at the internet for any dragon design, for example, the dragons from thr dragonslayer codex, each have defining details that make them unique while being incredibly cool, so it's a shame that DoD just has httyd dravon Number 78
Oh don't forget they haven't released the eldering system as well. While saying "its in the game, go find it" its been over two weeks with a decent chunk of the community constantly searching for it with nothing to show for it. Many are starting to suspect its not actually implemented or has been disabled.
Yeah, I'm waiting for 1.0.1 when Jao said he's going to "change" how we begin the eldering process. By that I saw him say he'll put it in the game. He gives out pathetic clues too, am almost happy I got banned for giving constructive feedback.
I'd be curious to have your opinion about "The Wings of Dawn" game currently being developped. The dev teams seems pretty transparent, and from what I've seen it looks like it's going to be everything DoD promised and even more... But I've only learned about this game recently, and since you seem a better informed on these kind of games than I am I'd appreciate if you could share your impressions on this one. (and If you had absolutely no idea this game even existed, no issue ^^)
I’ve interacted with them before on stream. They’re nice people at least. I’m personally still apprehensive about how they are going add people to the game, but I think they are heading In the right direction.
@@TheWingsOfDawnOfficial I look forward to playing your game, and I hope your ambitions are set high! Another problem with DOD, is they don't want to be anything more than a small, insignificant, barebones indie game. Wings Of Dawn has the potential to make it big, like Grounded, Conan Ex, Temtem, and Palworld.
From what I’ve heard they give more info on their discord and their TH-cam channel serves monthly updates. A little unrelated, but in one of their videos, they ran MAXIMUM graphics on a low end laptop. This immediately got me slobbering imagining a game where my ping isn’t higher than Mount Everest and my fps is actually tolerable. So overall, I’m hopeful
Shiftyvee good to see yah! From the Kickstarter alone I was very skeptical of the game as a whole, besides the constant Kickstarter goals. It was the fact they played the most iconic track in the How To Train Your Dragon OST "Test Drive". Way back when Jao was giving TH-camrs early access to the game I had joined the discord, immediately witnessed the lead developer witch-hunt someone for expressing concern, and dipped the discord practically right then and there. I hate-watched this game's developers commit mistake after mistake including breaking steams TOS which is still absurd to think about to this day. Although I hate the sheer unprofessional behavior of the developers, what I hate more is the dragons. I am an avid creature designer and dragons are probably by far the most fun! This game however just uses existing versions in the most uninspired manner. For a game that earned half a million dollars, I expect actual original concepts. This game is simply bland and uninspired. They copy the abilities and appearances of iconic dragons and fantasy creatures in media. One or two here and there are fine eno The Shadow Scale is a bootleg Night Fury, it contains a plasma blast, and it can turn invisible, even more suspicious is how little we see what inspired the animations for it compared to other dragons in the game, because it is painfully obvious they just reanimated clips of toothless moving around. On the topic of uninspired dragons here's the full list and why they are pretty much to a T knock-off versions of existing properties and then I will give my own example of a dragon I made up on the spot. Hybrid dragon: Stormcutter from HTTYD, Blitz Striker: just an amputated Skrill from HTTYD, Inferno Ravager: Monstrous Nightmare from HTTYD, Ice Wyvern: Just a wyvern version of an Icewing from the book series Wings Of Fire, Singe Crest: The love child of a Leonopteryx and Banshee from James Camerons Avatar. You could play a drinking game with how blatantly they copy these designs from popular media. Sadly the dragons and fauna that are the most unique are the ones made by Hoa who I followed and was inspired by long before he was even involved and hired on the DOD's developer team. He was by far the only reason I had any interest in the game and practically all the other creatures were brought off of him, There is proof of this from his Art Station account @Hao where you can see them not credited by DOD. Now for a bonus, I am gonna show you just how easy it can be to make a fun dragon concept. A dragon with a large crest on its snout is capable of amplifying the scream it produces. This ability disorientates other creatures inverting their controls temporarily to mimic a creature in distress. It's equipped with a long whip-like tail to slash at its prey or potential threats as they are stunned. Its tail is also barbed and can be used to coil around surfaces to hang upside down or climb about in the canopy above.
so i backed this game during the kickstarter because dragon game and i love dragons, i ended up joining a large clan on an official server and we managed to breed up our bloodlines to near perfect but this was 2-3 years ago, jumping to now we wanna see if this game is worth playing again and continuing our bl's (bloodlines) but after the 1.0 update they deleted almost all the legacy servers and we lost all of our dragons... so the many MANY hours we put into breeding is now gone -_- and now breeding A stat dragons is gonna be harder without the nurse dragon. they really f'ed up this game and there lack of giving a f is making me want to abandon this game for good, i keep trying to hold out hope that it will turn into something good but considering it has been 4 f'ing years im honestly done with DoD
I love dragons and would love a survival game like this that's actually, you know, good. Not greedy, not horrid upon release, nor in early access for eternity, not cancelled after receiving their kickstarter money.
I never liked Day of Dragons ever since I saw Anthomnias video on it. I'm 99% sure that I heard somewhere along the shittrain that DoD had stolen assets, copied designs of other dragons, or just full on bought dragon models that were not in the same style as the game. As someone who aspires to be a game developer, I personally find it super disappointing when other game devs do this, since I find my work to be exclusive and one of a kind. It's really nice to know your work is being used, so when devs buy models from other people, it kind of ruins the whole point of being a developer. Ever since School of Dragons was shut down, I've never had anything to look forward to that related dragon gameplay besides an old roblox game that stop getting game changing updates back in at least 2014-2016. DoD could definitely be doing way better than they are.
As someone who for years thought dragon gaming was really lacking, I watched through the whole time as people fell into this and were in complete denial, its really sad
As a Kickstarter in 2019 with a PvE (was supposed to be DvE) server that's been around for 3-4 years, we managed to survive the long awaited 'update' period, because our community is wonderful. But it feels like we waited 2 years for broken skins, broken overlays, a cryptic undiscoverable Eldering system, a rehashed and very unfinished map, borked stats, less food, no new AI, and a Bio Dragon that can't be restored if it dies, because it crashes you to blue screen. As much as I want Jao to read this comment and go "you're right, let's crack on, do better, make a game worth playing, stick to deadlines, hire more people, keep promises, and admit mistakes" with this Dev team facts are treated as criticism, and punished as so, and I'll probably just get banned. He said he didn't understand why reviews were bombing on Steam yet everyone he met ingame was happy. The simple answer is banning everyone who voices a negative opinion regardless how much truth it holds, so you're left with yes-men and members too afraid to say anything at all. If you're watching the Trailer, buying the game, finding out 90% of the Trailer isn't in the game, isn't it logical to assume you're going to feel ripped off. And what's worse is you used to be able to talk to him, he was a happy guy with big ideas. The whole thing just depresses me honestly.
Can we have a dragon survival game thats like Skyrim? Solo, great story with option to venture into a vast open world, challenge bosses and other creatures, maybe have a breeding mechanic, great customization, rule your own territories(offspring could be used to help defend and control territories),cool abilities, maybe have companions, and build a horde of treasure (potentially to use for purchase of customization, abilities, etc.) I mean there are so many cool concepts for dragons and lore as well. Especially for a fantasy world...
Omg It's like I just read THE exact description of my *favorite* childhood mobile games!! YOU NEED TO (RE)DOWNLOAD "DRAGON SIMULATOR 3D" AND "DRAGON SIM ONLINE" (I swear, they are actually good bro. Has almost everything you're asking for XD) I am dead serious when I say this, there are multiple, *very* dated dragon simulator mobile games that have 100X better gameplay/mechanics than DoD. (Sure the graphics and flight are sheet but DoD has such bad optimization you're going to get the same or worse anyway, just better gameplay and less money loss XD. Def worth a try or revisit for nostalgia's sake.)
It genuinely still shocks me at how most of these creature sims just fail to succeed one after another. Which may be a strategy by some like DoD as "where else would they go but here?" sort of way, as they have no reason to improve since there is no competition or their competition is terrible but still succeeds anyways. Not necessarily a conspiracy, but its more like just arriving all at the same answer.
I have played this game for way too long. Simply going online to spend time with the friends I made there. But the state of the game in honestly beyond horrible. And the only way to describe jaos aditude is delusional. Mind you, I have 270+ hours in this game and I regret almost all of them, except the ones where I made new friends. I'm sorry for my language and wording in advance. He won't even hire a new coder because he would "need to train them in their coding", "test their code" and "correct their mistakes". From what I've seen jao uses blueprint a lot. Which doesn't require really require coding. Also if he hires someone who uses the same programming language there won't be an issue, but his spagghetti code is probably just indeciverable. 1.0 came out and its as janky as it as always been. Basically everything that was supposed to come out at that time has been delayed. Everyone and their mother starved for the first few hours, because there was not enough food to feed the void stomach of InfernoRavager or Flamestalker. With those 2 you are eating 24/7. They take more food than a starved pack of wolves. Blitzstriker was supposed to come out 3 days ago. Guess what delayed. Now there is people saying, that jao was injured, etc. That was ages ago and I'm not one to criticise on a note like that, but its just being used as a lame excuse at this point. Things that were promised to kickstarters are now given out to patreons, while kickstarters never even received parts of it and keys for sucks exclusive things are given out for free, despite multiple times having been mentioned to not be given out to people anymore. Even 300$ kickstarters, yes you heared me right, 300$, get their promises invalidated and given to others simply, because they only paid that one time for kickstarter and ain't shoving up money jaos ass every month or so. On the note of the fireclaw drake DLC already being in the shop. This guy isn't supposed to be added until MUCH later (1.2, which will take eons seeing as to how slow progress is). There isn't even really a model for the guy yet, as far as I'm aware. The ONLY reason why its in the shop already is simply to be a fucking cashgrab for jao. Period. There is no other logical reason for it to be there. The mega map we were promised isn't even finished and the map we have now is just an updated version of the old one and its mediocre at best, if I'm being REALLY damn generous. There are like 3 spots with enough food, to supstain a group, that is bigger than idk 3 people?, the water looks down right atrocious, there are multiple places with just nothing in them. Just an open field. There is even a part of the map, which is just a grey mesh and totally untouched by jao, god and the world. Places on the map receive special names, but there is nothing special to them. Just another bit of forest or another pond somewhere. There are some good looking place, mostly to the center of the map. But they get over shadowed by lack of food, texture quality and despite things, looking really empty and loveless. To play elemental you have to sacrifice and elderdragon. You get 1 eldertick every 12 hours of IRL time when logging in. So fully eldering with only ticks still takes months. Back in legacy you'd elder by eating elder mushrooms, which mostly spawned at random intervals, some not and usually got camped by people. Timed mushrooms often having 10+ people trying to eat them when it popped. And those mushrooms still only gave one tick. Eldering was tedious, took ages, was hella annoying and could get toxic real quick. And I'm only talking about PvE. In PvP there was basically no time to elder. Now we don't even know what to do except to get ticks and the tips we received were as helpful as "If you kill someone, they're die.". The Inferno Ravager, the fire wyvern, can set itself on fire, which for all who have seen HTTYD could be really cool..... ahahhaha.... haaa... no. It looks like someone took a campfire prefab or just a fireeffects in this area one and just placed it all over the guy. It looks horrendous. The flying has always been horrible and bugs that keep you from getting off of the ground properly are still there despite having been claimed to be fixed multiple times. Flying itself feels clunky, slow and like you're trying to drive 3 fucking buses attacked to one another. There are no things you'd hope of flying in these games, like doing loops in the air or barrelrolls or god knows what. It's just for getting from A to B. As Shiftyvee already mentioned there is nothing to do. Not just for hatchies but also for grown dragons. We were supposed to get a questing system with 1.0. ahahahaha.... no. You can grow and die. Thats it. You can try nesting. But nesting is pain in the ass, especially the new nesting system. We people on PvE/DvE Servers have tried to get better stats since 1.0 came out and despite tireless nesting still haven't managed to get E stats (the worst stat) entirely out of bloodlines. There are some people with 0 Es, but even then nests will still give babys with plenty Es and we've been at this for a while. I am not gonna adress that clan situation in this post, as I have never played PvP. But it's really as bad as people say. And don't even get me started on the communtiy and the teams additude towards criticism and their general community management. I am sorry for my wording in advance. I'll try to keep it civil, but I'm really fed up with this especially. Most of the development news ONLY get shared with the kickstarters and patreons. The normal playerbase doesn't even get them after like 2 weeks. Those news stay exclusive to those. There are people who are licking jaos boots and will descend on you like vultures if you say anything that might hurt their god jao. I'm not gonna go too much into detail, but yes there have been threats to people, you will get insulted, belittled and dragged through the mud. There are people defending jao and this game at all cost, like a delusional patient protects its rubberducky, sayin' its a real duck and its family (there is only one duck). People will get warned and more than often even banned for voicing their opinions and giving criticism. Criticism and improvement suggestions will get completly ignored and if not will get invalidated by jaos fangirls and sometimes even moderators. Jao himself will ignore it completly and then acts surprised when he actually HAS to acknowledge it. Jao has also often stated that the community isn't toxic, which is a blatant lie. He's just really good at ignoring the problems right infront of his nose. I could probably keep this comment going for a lot longer, but I feel like I have given enough context already for people to know to not support this game (it's just not worth your money, time and sanity) and call jao out on his absolut shitshow. Thank you to everyone for reading my little rant.
Path of titans does the whole paying for dinos thing better, because the only time you'd have to pay for playable dino PACKs is if your using the FREE starter pack, and even then I believe you can upgrade to the full game by just paying for it if you don't want to pay for dino packs individually and they take into account how many dino packs you bought and give you a discount based on that.
What I don’t understand is why even add DLCs at the start? I feel it’s better esp when u have 500k to wait until months in to make dragons dlc and give older players the dragons they basically tested for free.
Good video with lots of information! Straight to the point and not sugarcoating things like many other TH-camrs do when creating videos about DoD. Do you have a Discord server or other social media where to follow you from?
I was really hoping it would be good, but it got worse as time went on. I enjoyed how friendly people were at the start. Then griefers grew and clans and painful growth times with no flight, confusing food locations and death as soon as you took flight to groups of people. And the most interesting dragons are behind a paywall
my jaw actually dropped when I heard "free dragons" implying there were dragons u had to pay for, like wtf normally I would ask what kind of idiot would pay for a dlc for a clearly very unfinished game, but I remember the exact type of people this genre has in it's communities..
I am SO glad someone pointed out the Bio dragon plastic look. I was a kickstarter and was so bothered that the ONE dragon we got (when we were promised all of them) looks so low quality. The art and model look WAY lower quality than everything else. He does not care about his kickstarters, just his patreon.
Hate to say it, I was one of their backers on Kickstarter years ago and I regret doing that. This whole game is just a tech demo with DLC. This game makes the same mistakes many other "Animal simulators" do There is very little to do, barebones content. Pretty much all the reasons you listed. The dragon designs are just absolutely bland. They feel out of place. The fact that they are locking dragons that were already planned for the game behind paid DLC is incredibly scummy and is disingenuous. Not only that but the way Jao is in regards to criticism and banning people outright (much like how Dondi is about the The Isle) is not good either. Whilst I hope things change, I don't see that happening with what has been promoted thus far. It's a very sad sight to see. Don't support this product folks, Jao is scamming you of your money. Give that money to other projects actually worth a damn.
As a avid PVP content creator for this game I agree on like 80% of the video. Some points are a little overdone, stretched if anything as well as some not true. I am upset with my love for the game going from playing everyday to almost never now. Between the horrible release and as you said the mods/admins/dev being unfair to some people's concerns in their discord & reddit now shows a lot about how they want people to perceive this game, and not expose it for what it is or them for that matter. Even with the updates rolling out the fact that what we got was a raw cookie instead of the whole bakery isn't even making me want to come back as well as others. Servers for PVP specifically went to all 4 full first day, to not even 20 players on 3 of them after its almost first month out. I hope that changes in the future, but who is to tell. They have done good work since the release, but I am afraid it might be too little too late.
I feel like if someone created Day of Dragons with an age selection screen for those who just wanted to play as the adult dragons (Like an RP mode) made the survival aspect better and possibly have a skill tree that unlocks new dragons over time it would be better. Using inspiration from Mythology and HTTYD for making starting dragons then branching out to new designs with various abilities would work hell a selection of up to 10 different starting dragons that work for many play styles and even aquatic dragons with a heavily diverse ecosystem of NPCs. Carcasses for baby dragons to scavenge from would help curb the fighting most of the time. For things to do for baby dragons, what about play fighting, stalking, skills that wild animals train up as babies that could help with survival. Although this is just me getting ideas out there for whoever wants to create a better dragon game or fantasy game
LOOOOL????? Am I supposed to laugh? Seriously, am I supposed to laugh at how fucking stupid that is? *I* could make better financial decisions, and I'm not even a legal adult in America yet
I'm so glad someone said it all out on YT. Pretty much every donater in the discord is a huge bootlicker too. I bought the game when it still had the desert map and redwood map portal that they just shoved in. They keep making the same mistakes and keep making the same empty promises. Im so fucking tired. There is literally nothing to do unless you're a tryhard saltrock who gets off on hardcore PvP in mega all A+ clans.
This really opened my eyes about the game, I'm currently a patreon of the game and had no idea of all this and now that I do its making me rethink paying $20 a month for this game. I'm glad I found this video. (great content!)
I had one good experience with a clan, where we kind of got to roleplay (in the ‘I actually feel like im living the life of a dragon’ kind of way) by hiding away in the deep mountains to avoid being killed, but even that felt like a waste of time. We were learning the breeding system, but like, all those hours of effort just to get to C tier stats was somehow more demoralizing than dying as a full adult in the isle. Gunna be real, this game makes me feel like shit in a very special way.
I also convinced several friends to biy and try the game because it was SUPPOSED to have a good amount of content dropped for the 1.0. Only to find out 2 weeks before launch that 90% of the promised content would be delayed for the 100th time. Needless to say they were very upset, especially because what they did release was a terrible, buggy mess of an update
Its a real shame that this game is the way that is. Like I get the whole deal about Dino and other animal sims is a bit boring for some people, but to get to play as a dragon is sth that I always wanted and I was looking forward to this game, even wanted to fund the kickstarter (glad I didnt), its just.....Disapointed ya know. Oh well guess I'll just sustain on Path Of Titans mod till someone actually makes a good dragon sim.
The community is basically a bunch of roblox kids, because on roblox you have the same games like that, sometimes a little better but all of them are overmonetized walk and eat simulators. Baby stage being unfair? check. expensive monsters bein OP that they can just come to you and kill you without giving you a chance to defense yourself? check. Toxic playerbase full of trolls that will kill you just because? check. All those kids needs are a sandbox to roleplay, no matter how bat the game itself is, they will throw money at it.
The discourse of "banning players because of criticism" is actually true. I witnessed it whole. Right before I decided to leave their discord because the way the staff was acting was childish. Someone brought actually good concerning stuff about the game, never worded it in a way they seem to think is "inappropriate", and got insta banned, got called a "troll" and never to be seen again. There's an unofficial reddit group on the game as well, where you can state your concerns about the game freely without having to walk on eggshells. Say for example you're criticising the "Disney level of censorship" they have going on, and the people of that unofficial group will back you up by saying "I've had a similar situation happen to me" or "the censorship is so bad, you'd think it's 1984", if you were to state the same concerns on the official groups, you'd get people coming your way to harass you because "skill issue, learn how to properly speak [insert derogatory terms that makes anyone and everyone offended on purpose]". I've had 1 individual do it to me but I blocked and ignored instantly.
Why do the Dragon models in this game have such varying quality/detail?? I can't tell if they gave up, rushed out certain models or if some dragons are store bought assets. The "Bioluminescent Dragon" is such a dramatic shift in style and detail compared to all the others...
update 4 months later: The game has not changed, the player base is dead (rightfully so) and there have been 3 sales to try to revive a dead game. its funny to see this video STILL up to date on the games current state announcements in the servers are just hollow promises and twitter is just "dont worry guys! itll be out soon!" the true issue with all of this is that Jao wont let anyone touch the code he's sto- I mean made so it slows production down due to his 600+ hours in warframe. *sigh* but what do I know only played the game for 5 years now >~> to its final resting place it seems.
I really want to like this game. I have over 3000 hours in animal survival games. But I just cant enjoy DOD. I played for 40 hours, giving it a red hot go. Animations are stiff, the in game lighting is usually too dark to see, 2 of the dragons are HTTYD rip offs, 60% of the content is locked behind a pay wall, growth times are too long for the high tear dragons, there isn't enough food to feed a growing dragon, the echo's on calls is too much and updates seem to happen less often then Evrima... Now to hear they have been working on this since 2019 and raised over half a mil and still asking for money. Dragons are one of my favourite creatures, I design them all the time. There is so much potential here. They have had so much time and money for this. I really hope it works out, I want it to work so bad
Thank you for this review I was debating this game with “Draconia” but after seeing this there’s no doubt which I will choose when I want a dragon game - perhaps this greedy game will be worth something once it’s fully released.
I was one of the early buyers who was denied a refund. This game will never change. I played for 20 minutes at the start, all we had was an oasis in the desert with some weird baby dragon and the inability to kill the weird bug leech things to eat. I ended up falling in the water unable to get out as I kept swimming UNDER the shore. Yeah. It was bad. It was like they had no idea how to make a game at all. Also some of the animations for the toothless fake are ripped straight from the now defunct school of dragons, it's unmistakable I spent 100 hours or so in SoD so I'd know what kind of animation I was staring at having been a sand wraith (sharp toothless) racer.
BoB doesn't even have a fucking FRACTION of the dev team DoD has and has at best 1/10th of the income DoD has but its at LEAST an order of magnitude superior
10:17 i used to play this game on Roblox called "Creatures Of Sonaria" it's basically a monster or mythical beast version of games in this genre. A unique thing I found they did as a good counter for mix packing is a stress meter... If a player is within a certain range of a player from a different species or diet alignment the player will get a stress meter that slowly builds up overtime and how close in proximity you are. If it reaches 100% you get massive debuffs. (And im pretty sure if you ignore it long enough it starts to drain your health.)
@@sabertoothno34 I think it was likely not only due to the buggy nature of it, but also because players who make a glorified chatroom out of a (supposed) survival game kept complaining they could no longer hang out with 10+ massive predators in oasis
Ah, when I learned about all the drama and development of this game I started to call it "The Isle but with dragons", but DoD takes the cake when it comes to scumminess definitely.
I liked this game.. at first. The MOMENT they updated it, it basically became unplayable unless you have some kind of god teir pc, otherwise, you get lag. Yes I know there’s a legacy version, but literally the only reason I still wanted to play this was because of the blitz striker, WHICH STILL HASNT COME OUT.
At a point, I was on the same boat as the other people who defend this game with their life. And I was miserable waiting MONTHS for content I hoped would be released. I yearn so deeply for a free roaming game where you can be a dragon. I yearn to be able to fly and fight, or wander and explore as I wish. To be able to help new players, or nest as I please to be a parent for a bit. Day of Dragons promises that experience. But I have gotten none of it. The optimization is awful, the dragons are awful. It's toxic, boring, slow, and all around just an unfun experience. Makes me wish I had half the skill the people working on it did.
Its a shame Pvp is so terrible, its not good having giant clans but its worse when you realise they guard all the best growing spots and show absolutly no mercy for the solo players. I only play on Pve as a result which is enjoyable to me although a little slow by comparison. Atleast until more dragons are added,
I got this game just because i love dragons. Played a bit. There is nothing to do except growing the dragon and eat drink. I found on the server (pve) i chose people just chill out breed and are super chill. I am not delusional. This game propably never gets much better then it is now. Whats good is the dragons design, sound and movement in my opinion. Sadly i dont know a good Dragon Game :( The last Dragon game i knew was at release of PS2 i think. Where you fought armys or something form the sky. Took me 1 hoiur to learn fly lol. They definitly need a acomplete guide ingame. Without the people on the server i would have not learned a thing.
I really wish I refunded this game when I had the chance, but of course I was reluctant because "It's still in beta! It'll get better." Yeah, I was wrong. Half of the dragons/skins are locked behind a kickstarter paywall (A kickstarter that has ENDED) Unless your computer is blessed by God himself there is no way you're running it with good graphics and a high framerate Players are overly hostile in PvP servers, whilst PvE servers have virtually no gameplay. Rarely recieves actual content updates, and when it does they usually are quite.... horrid. Personally? The dragon models don't even look that good. *EDIT* Forgot to mention, it's virtually impossible to increase your dragon's stats in a PvP server, unless you somehow get into a clan or have a friend who is willing to nest for hours to increase your pixel dragon's stats in the hopes of surviving the several giant, hostile clans. Did I forget to mention after this "Big update" the game is actually unplayable? Not kidding, I cannot join a server without the game crashing- no matter the graphics, how I launch it, nothing. DoD is a shameless cashgrab and I hope more people recognize it as so.
I refunded the Acid Spitter DLC don't worry

Permanently locking characters behind temporary campaigns (e.g. Kickstarter, Twitch) has to be one of the worst ideas that have been brought into the gaming industry.
This. So much this.
I will never get into DoD knowing that half the dragons and skins aren’t going to be unlockable ingame for me. It’s alienating.

Are clans like you just join with each other or paid?Maybe to have clans you have to pay for it?Though the game would still suck.
@randomwolfygirl You join them, but as I said, they are 100% like gangs. The big ones at least.
Thing is breeding in ark isn’t even complicated, literally just breed until one of the babies has a funny colour, boom, mutation aquired

Draconia shares same problem. Century: ages of ashes does much better, but still. HTTYD is top tier though
Note again that Monster Hunter's monsters (at least, most of them that arent from Frontier) are able to not only be extremely creative, but also be extremely creative while keeping surface level believability
@@IndominusRex-wc1ey Exactly! MH creatures have logic behind them, backed up by real life animals and idea how they can fit in ecosystem. Love it.
@nomshark7241 it's a HUGE reason why MH is my personal favorite game series... ever. The devs *care,* and they care a MASSIVE amount about everything
While they are mostly exclusions to this design philosophy, even the elder dragons are strongly based in actual biology
Teostra doesn't JUST create explosions. Teostra creates explosions via a highly flammable powder-esque fur that its mane is comprised of, and it uses its fangs as a flint and steel or lighter to activate these clouds of powder
Kirin doesn't JUST summon a thunder bolt, it uses its horn like a lightning rod to attract storms to its location
The ONLY elders I can think of that aren't from Frontier/Explore/Online/whatever the fuck spinoff that actually just deny every part of the design philosophy MonHun is famous or... are the 1st class elder dragons (ala, Safi, fatty, and dire) and that just makes the 1st class elders even better, because their other worldly biology makes them standout in a crowd of standouts for being basic, its actually genius god I fucking love this franchise
Day of Dragons being bad is why I'm so excited for The Wings of Dawn. as of right now, they're doing everything that DoD did poorly or just hasn't bothered even doing and doing it better. I am so excited to be able to either test or play the full release of TWoD!
Haven't heard of TWoD yet, I'm guessing it's an actual good and creative dragon survival game? Imma look at it because I'm c u r i o u s
Most of them are nothing like anything I've seen before. I'm DEFINITELY with you with being excited about it.
The dragon designs are so much more thought out and creative and there's SO many different types of dragons, we don't know how it'll play out yet but just the dragons shown already make me happy

Patreons now get even more exclusive content because I quote: "They continue to pay me" as opposed to Kickstarter who never got what they were promised in the first place lol
His new game is a disgrace and still a scam.

This is the most controversial game and rightfully so. It’s got some dirty laundry within its own staff and it’s not something I’d willingly support.. not to mention the game permanently banned me from playing via a hardwire ban because they mistook me for an “alt account” of a banned user lol
Yeah yet another reason to avoid it like the plague.
I tried launching it up after the new update, and it caused my graphics card to completely shut down and it made my monitor disconnect so my only option was to restart my pc lol. I've never seen that happen with anything before but at least it saved me 4 hours of my time sitting and doing nothing.
Your computer is trying to stop you from playing such garbage.
@@izzqyhere Divine intervention XD

I have no earthly idea why anyone would play this while Path of Titans exists.
Yeah, a server with dragon mods will be better than DoD can ever be.

@@theoldspinosaurus How? You move the right analogue stick to turn the camera just like pretty much every other game.
CoS is a dark pattern game that is worse in its own ways, alongside that Twin Atlas is a toxic studio and the main directors like Erythia are awful people.
definitely not, CoS is on DoD's level
Always funny to see people talk about the game I translate for
Honestly, thank you for this video.
Even acid spitter has an uncanny resemblance to the Rage Drake from DnD

Oh don't forget they haven't released the eldering system as well. While saying "its in the game, go find it" its been over two weeks with a decent chunk of the community constantly searching for it with nothing to show for it. Many are starting to suspect its not actually implemented or has been disabled.
Yeah, I'm waiting for 1.0.1 when Jao said he's going to "change" how we begin the eldering process. By that I saw him say he'll put it in the game.
He gives out pathetic clues too, am almost happy I got banned for giving constructive feedback.

Its tail is also barbed and can be used to coil around surfaces to hang upside down or climb about in the canopy above.
so i backed this game during the kickstarter because dragon game and i love dragons, i ended up joining a large clan on an official server and we managed to breed up our bloodlines to near perfect but this was 2-3 years ago, jumping to now we wanna see if this game is worth playing again and continuing our bl's (bloodlines) but after the 1.0 update they deleted almost all the legacy servers and we lost all of our dragons... so the many MANY hours we put into breeding is now gone -_- and now breeding A stat dragons is gonna be harder without the nurse dragon.
they really f'ed up this game and there lack of giving a f is making me want to abandon this game for good, i keep trying to hold out hope that it will turn into something good but considering it has been 4 f'ing years im honestly done with DoD

thank you for making this, it's so cathartic to watch and see how many people are still (rightfully) annoyed about this game and its developer
3 months later since launch... content is still missing and/or broken.
Shadowscale is invisible until a flamestalker uses thermal vision to see you 😂
Can we have a dragon survival game thats like Skyrim?
Has almost everything you're asking for XD)
I am dead serious when I say this, there are multiple, *very* dated dragon simulator mobile games that have 100X better gameplay/mechanics than DoD.
Tbh it feels- planned. First off 500k to be this, is horrendous esp to then release DLCs soon into development??
Thank You.. I was going to buy this game.. now I know I need to wait and watch from the side!!
pvp modes are usually only enjoyable when in a clan, and then still most of these issues are effecting them as well.
Jao accused The Last Sanctum of stealing his Singe Crest design. The irony
Path of titans does the whole paying for dinos thing better, because the only time you'd have to pay for playable dino PACKs is if your using the FREE starter pack, and even then I believe you can upgrade to the full game by just paying for it if you don't want to pay for dino packs individually and they take into account how many dino packs you bought and give you a discount based on that.

my jaw actually dropped when I heard "free dragons" implying there were dragons u had to pay for, like wtf normally I would ask what kind of idiot would pay for a dlc for a clearly very unfinished game, but I remember the exact type of people this genre has in it's communities..
The DLC acid spitter was the first dragon completed for base game btw :)
@@IndominusRex-wc1ey that is so much worse lmfao
Id understand if the game didn’t get a lot of fundings and the DLCs were like- spoiling ppl who paid- but this is so like- cartoony villain worthy.
Don’t forget the DLC emotes! $5 for 4 more emotes, but those are per-dragon payments as well!! 😂 (genuinely, wholeheartedly, wtf)
Oh well guess I'll just sustain on Path Of Titans mod till someone actually makes a good dragon sim.
don’t let him cook
Well he cooked and cooked good 🔥🔥
coming back to your vids after your isle vid. I didn't know you were continuing similar content! I hope you surpass your previous numbers!
*sighs* I knew this would happen. Literally EVERY single game about the player playing AS THE DRAGON ends in complete utter failure.
Wings of Dawn is developing nicely. Might be worth a shot?
The "Bioluminescent Dragon" is such a dramatic shift in style and detail compared to all the others...
update 4 months later: The game has not changed, the player base is dead (rightfully so) and there have been 3 sales to try to revive a dead game. its funny to see this video STILL up to date on the games current state announcements in the servers are just hollow promises and twitter is just "dont worry guys! itll be out soon!"
the true issue with all of this is that Jao wont let anyone touch the code he's sto- I mean made so it slows production down due to his 600+ hours in warframe. *sigh* but what do I know only played the game for 5 years now >~> to its final resting place it seems.
time to wait five more years for the broodwatcher !! !!!!
this is the shiftyvee video of all time
I really want to like this game.
I love this review. Thank you for calling them out. I had to subscribe and hit the bell!
Wings of Dawn looks promising.
Have to look into that, thanks!
I want a realistic and fantasy dragon game so badly, and THIS is what we get?!
Yep thats what we get, the best dragon survival game, its good, and i mean it.
Ngl- I’d say at least it looks good- but those goofy ahh graphics ain’t got nothing on BoB- the game with like three devs 💀💀💀
Literally bruh like the least you can do when everything in your game sucks is make it look pretty so you can at least use it for cool screenshots.
BoB doesn't even have a fucking FRACTION of the dev team DoD has and has at best 1/10th of the income DoD has but its at LEAST an order of magnitude superior
Preach brother, preach.
(And im pretty sure if you ignore it long enough it starts to drain your health.)
it got removed months ago btw :,)
@aurelian943 Ah seriously? That sucks.
That’s the pathetic part, they choose to not fix things and get offended when people criticize their game.
Glad you talked me out of wanting this, I deal with enough shitty game staff in Roblox Creatures of Sonaria
Atleast until more dragons are added,
I was thinking of buying it since I enjoy PoT/TI/BoB, but now I won't until/if it improves. Thank you ^-^
I got this game just because i love dragons.
You're talking about Lair I think, which was only for PS3
man... It hurts that I backed this game XD
I really wish I refunded this game when I had the chance, but of course I was reluctant because "It's still in beta! It'll get better."
Yeah, I was wrong.
Half of the dragons/skins are locked behind a kickstarter paywall (A kickstarter that has ENDED)
Unless your computer is blessed by God himself there is no way you're running it with good graphics and a high framerate
Players are overly hostile in PvP servers, whilst PvE servers have virtually no gameplay.
Man I just wanna play as a dragon :(
i hope they change the fly mechanics bc its really to difficult especially if you are new player like me
